Hi,
I'm curious, is there a Dutch interface (not only keyboard) language available in any gingerbread custom rom? Or do I have to wait for the end of June for the update?
Thanks in advance!

Hi all!
I use Modaco 2.2, so thank you Modaco for the work you do for us all. I have a question.
HTC Russia released new (1.5, unfortunately) firmware, wich contains better russian translation of settings menu. Is it possible to transfer localization files from new russian firmware to my current Modaco 2.2?
Thank you for your help!
up! i can't believe that it is not possible
Hi
I found this thread regarding Arabic support in android 2.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=735433&highlight=arabic
the thing that guide is made specifically for android 2.1 and doesn't work with 2.2 .
Arabic is partially supported in Froyo, but the letters appear disconnected
anyone got any idea how to fix this issue?
thanks for all devs in the wonderful community

Have you tried an all language cyanogen based froyo? I think arabic is one of the languages in it.
Just checked and my cm 6.1 barebones gt appears to have it. I see two writings that appear to be it in my language settings. As I myself do not speak arabic I have no idea, but like I said it looks llike the all language cm mod roms have it.
thanks for the tip
I'll give it a try
and I'll post my feedback later on

HI Aceoyame
it's true your cm 6.1 barebones fully support Arabic except that andriod keyboard doesn't support Arabic letters. but it's ok because I can get Arabic keyboard from the market no I have the Arabic font installed.
You really have improved the quality of my life
I can't thank you enough
I hope all devs include Arabic support in their builds
this is the only one I could find which consider Arabic support
sorry would you please help me to put arabic language in captivate froyo
i dont understand what is cm 6.1

Check the specific forum, this is kaiser's. And CM is CyanogenMod build. Just find an "ALL LANGUAGE" build of cyanogen mod froyo for your captivate

Guess what....morelocale2 worked perfect for me, i installed russian but typing input is still english. Any ideas how to fix that? Thanks
First - you need root
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=709146
then flash any rom based on 2.10.405.2, 2.29.405.2 firmware

There is no need to change language of the phone interface to use russian keyboard, you just need to add it from keyboard settings, i.e. international keyboard (you are using froyo, right?). i use russian, english and lithuanian languages ( mind you, i just use english alphabet to type in lithuanian), so once you activate 2 or more keyboards, tap on microphone button on the keyboard switches languages. I'm using stock froyo with htc sense.
Hi
Is there any 4.0.3 rom that has Arabic language support and keyboard in it.
I currently have the bell galaxy nexus and i think its the only version that support arabic language and has an Arabic keyboard so i dont want to risk losing this rom.
also if i change to diffrent rom can i go to the stock bell rom later on or not.
Thanks
Arabic is built in default in ics
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
so will i get the arabic keyboard in all the roms that are available in the development section
any answers.
can some one take a screenshot of his input language menu
Thanks
ICS has Arabic language support by default but this does not mean that any ROM will have an Arabic keyboard preinstalled. For example, on my Galaxy Nexus I can see Arabic fonts perfectly, all joined up and everything, but my ROM only comes with English and Japanese keyboards, preinstalled.
So, yes. You can use any ICS ROM (more or less) and have Arabic support but you will, most probably, have to download one of the many Arabic keyboard apps available on the Android market.
My ROM is AOKP Milestone 3 (ICS 4.0.3).
Hello Android people! Im sorry if my question is somehow stupid, I dont know anything from Android devices.
A friend of mine asked me to get him a phone. We are in Scandnavia which means there are Scandinavian languges + WWE on the device. He would like to get Dutch or German language, so I thought I just flash a new rom. I downloaded an official European rom but the languages stayed the same.
What am I missing here?
Did ya try going into settings/ language & keyboard? Change language there
