I got my 15" Macbook Pro today, adding to my existing hackintosh build. The legit mac is running 10.6.7, but the hackintosh is still running 10.6.6. My HTC Incredible shows up in ADB on my hackintosh but not my Macbook Pro. Is anybody else having problems with 10.6.7 and ADB?
Thanks.

Works fine for me.
Well, thankfully I made a Time Machine of right after I unboxed the machine (pre-10.6.7), so I reverted to that, reinstalled 10.6.7 and now it works. Thanks!

not sure if anyone needs this, but i sure use it everyday for work.
so here's the link in case you need it
http://code.google.com/p/android-vnc-viewer/
it's compatible with UltraVNC (http://www.uvnc.com/download/), it sure beats Windows Remote Desktop (Therminal Services) and it's more secure too
Apple Mac OS X 10.4 and newer already comes build in with the VNC server.
N1ce will try this out later
Nice!!! VNC finally on Android... I was using RemoteDesktop before this... It's ok... but VNC is VNC!!!
Hi,
I'm having a bit of trouble getting Android VNC working on my I9000. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 and I can connect to it fine. When I try to control the desktop from my phone I can see the response on my pc screen but not on my phone. Does anyone know why this is?
Thanks
Maybe Galaxy S does not have that much processing power? :S
Not sure...
i doubt that as i have no problem.
check your internet connection.
if you are running torrents, turn it off
My internet connection is fine, I'm not having any problems connecting to websites on either my computer or phone. I'm not running any torrents either....
I use ultraVNC with MRSCplugin encryption on my desktop pcs, does anyone know if there is a client that can handle this as I don't think this one does?
AFAIK i don't think the current releases supports encryption yet
I use TightVNC on Vista; and this app works amazingly awesome!.
I get a few laughs now and then scaring people controlling pc remotely.. LOL
really works like a charm, use this as remote for my pc when watching movies in bed lol also secretly installed on my little brothers pc and he is running scared xD
Anyone figured out the easiest way to double click without it coming out as a right click?
I usually use the WYSE software for this, seemed to work much better when I was on a Milestone.
Remember , Zodttd is working on VNC for android!
I tried VNC but LogMeIn is A LOT better.
I use RealVNC on the PC Win7 and "Remote VNC Ad" on my Samsung Galaxy S i9000

I am using UltraVNC on all my servers, androidVNC works just fine with it. When on slow connections, I just only pull 8 or 64-colors to lighten it up a bit.
Does vnc support sound on android yet? If not then rdp is still better

It's a Ubuntu vino server and Nvidia problem. You should disable visual effects (compiz), set it to none and you will have a working VNC server!

why would you want sound to be transferred ?
it's a waste of bandwidth
it's horrible when you are stuck in an area with only EDGE coverage, say you are driving between 2 towns, you get a call
it's an emergency, and you need to pull over to remote into the server to fix whatever it is
Hello
A friend of my just bought a HTC Desire and is now looking for a new portable. He has a bit of a problem with choosing between mac an windows, and one of the concerns is the compatibility between Mac OS and his Desire. I've been looking in to it, and I don't think that there is much of a problem, but just to be sure: can someone confirm that the interactions between the two machines work flawlessly?
Thank you in advance!
Erwin
It works.
Mac user here.
Usb connection works. Bluetooth works. LAN works. Wifi hotspot works.
Rooted my HTC Desire on a mac, super simple. No need to download additional drivers and stuff.
It works on Mac, Windows and Linux. Because HTC are nice to us. There are no problems using it on a Mac
Thank you both very much!
One of the major annoyances I have with android is that windows can never find all the drivers no matter what I try to do. Im not positive that it is all android devices but it was that way with both my Captivate and now my Epic. This is especially true with the bluetooth. Just today I have been fighting with it trying to get PDANet working. Has anyone else had this problems? Any solutions? How do you guys get tethering to work?
I've never had any issues. The problem, most of the time, is the USB cable.
Do you know of a way to remove all drivers you have previously used to be able to start over?

There are various programs that do that, Google should have 'em.
What's the trick on getting drivers to work for Windows 7 64 bit? I can install them on the computer but then when I plug in my phone Windows just says. Drivers not installed successfully no matter what I try.
I've exhausted myself searching and asking around the last few days with help installing and running Ubuntu. I now have one last step before I bug everyone with questions about compiling. I need to tether my phone to Ubuntu, nothing has worked yet except for EasyTether, and that was a nightmare. It would have taken hours or days to sync the repo or whatnot. Wireless Tether for root users is not working natively like everyone says, so I'm here begging for help. Any insight into what I could do to get internet access on Ubuntu through my phone?

I don't have a driver for my wireless card (wusbn600n ver1) though =/ I used to be able to tether on a previous install of Ubuntu. I guess I'll try 10.04 instead of 11.04 since they might have cut support for the file/driver that previously tethered my phone.
I always used easytether when using linux

I had easytether working at first but the connection would get interrupted to often, so I rebooted the pc and it wouldn't even connect after
Code:
sudo easytether enumerate
sudo easytether connect
It would say " couldn't get device MAC address " or something along those lines. Would running Ubuntu in VMware pick up my internet connection from windows?

Yes. The only problem, is I think ics HAS to be 64 bit. But I could be wrong on that. (But I doubt you'll be compiling ics unless you have a super computer lol)

I wouldn't think you would have to downgrade the OS just for a driver. You should be able to access previous Ubuntu repositories. However, Canonical did gimp 11.10 a bit by excluding Synaptic be default.
The below link tells you how to install Synaptic and configure it to access older repositories, but you can simply install Synaptic through the software center application.

Oh yes I remember when I first started using ubuntu i'd have to build the broadcom (a very popular mobile wifi card) drivers by and hand and manually insert the modules. But anyway have you tried the "wired tether" apk on code.google.com?

I have an Inspire 4g using RB's Jellytime rom. It seems that the bluetooth works with a windows 7 laptop, however, it will not work with my macbook air (late 2012). Is there anyone else with a mb air that has this problem?

Did you check on the main thread of Jellytime release?
I saw something about this issue.
