I was wondering this because this ROM is always getting updated and changed. Doesn't this mean it will always be in Beta? Is it possible to have ROM that's continually being updated and not be in Beta? I am just asking this because I see a lot of users posting that they are afraid to flash the Gingerblur ROM because it's still in beta.
What will be the difference between a BETA Ginger blur and a non BETA gingerblur?
Sorry if I may sound noobish, but I just want to get this answered
Thanks!

1.5.6.1 is the latest...for the incredible for other devices i think its 1.5.13
Where can I find the latest release? I've looked into the MIUI thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=939606) but wasn't able to find it. Every since the split, it's been harder to find the latest release of MIUI for the Inc.
Thanks.
EDIT: I found the latest release: http://forums.miui.us/showthread.ph...(Gapps-2.3.4-deodexed-CM-Kernel)-Updated-5-07
http://forums.miui.us/showthread.ph...(Gapps-2.3.4-deodexed-CM-Kernel)-Updated-5-07
looks like its updated to 1.5.6.1
gonna check it out myself, i dont believe ill make the jump from CM7 tho
1.5.6.1 is just a full rom version of 1.5.6, the first 1.5.6 build was a flash over.
1.5.6.1 shows as 1.5.6 in about phone.
1.5.13 is the latest but the links down go to miui.us
After trying to find the latest version I just gave up... like "fp99" said is hard to find it.. so now im in Warm z rom... for a minute....
Newest release is found at miui.us.
1.5.13 breaks the camera for me though, and the last release broke Google Voice. MIUI is too buggy for me lately so I'm trying out a Sense 2.0 rom.
and now I'm seeing a release it out again on MIUI-DEV, which had all but shut down for the past few weeks. Anyone care to comment on MIUI-DEV vs MIUI.US?? I don't care to hear about the riff that occurred between them, but I care mostly about comments on the relative skills of the developers on either side. I'm not sure which to download and test (probably end up trying them both anyway )

Both ports are made by different devs and the one on miui.us seems more complete since the one porting on miui-dev is new.
Hy so first thing i used miui before its pretty good and very simplist but i want to know whats the difference betwen stable and beta
I used beta and i didt have very big problems just some random reset when using wifi
Here the stable miui i found:http://miuiandroid.com/roms/miui-stable-roms/
i want very bad to test it but i dno im a little bit scared
and one more thing what does deodex mean?
Thankyou
Hey guys,
First of all I wanna thank everyone for making this such an awesome forum as I learned how to root & even flash my Defy with the tutorials in the Development forum.
Another thing I wanted to bring up was the awesome MIUI droid. I recently just upgraded to the 1.8.5 version. I liked it however I still noticed the problem with haptics feedback especially when typing. Does anyone know any solutions?
You mean the absence of haptic feedback when typing? This is a MIUI bug and as far as I'm concerned there's still no solution to it.
@rafaccb
Thanks for the info! Hope they sort that out real soon coz MIUI is a really sweet ROM.
Edit - One more question, I've tried flashing the latest CM7 nightly build but somehow it won't boot. I've followed the instructions thoroughly & it still won't work. Why is this?
Hmm, not sure, haven't messed much with CM7, but make sure to wipe data and cache before flashing between MIUI and CM7.
try with htc keyboard or swype and enable haptic in their settings, in my defy with miui.us 1.8.5 works
I use Swiftkey and get haptic
Hi
What is difference between [ROM] Motorola Defy MIUI.us Presents MIUI 1.8.5 Pure English [AOSP] and [ROM]MIUIandroid Defy 1.8.5 - English - Updated 2.3.5/CM7 Defy Merge ?
Hey guys,
Thanks for the help & advice. But I managed to get on one of the nightlies of CM7 so I'm currently using that. Maybe when there's a more stable version of MIUI I'll switch to that.
@PK-motorsport
From what I know, the difference is just that on the Pure English version you don't have to flash the language pack whereas the Merged version requires a language pack as it is originally in Chinese. However, I did notice some missing features in the Pure English version.
I noticed that DHD has a stable version now. Cannot find a changelog for it to find the feature differences between stable/development versions. Has anyone tried the stable version? If so what's your verdict? Stay with development or keep the stable? Thank you.

Actually you are right! I just figured it out as ya said it. I reckon it should be the same as the latest beta version, Because recently there is not much complain about any FC errors.
May be I flash it when I go home.
Why hasnt someone made one? My fav ROM to date is AndroidMe aosp lite 1.3 and no one has made a lite version of 4.1.2. What up with that?

a) go ask your favourite rom dev?
b) patiently wait for it?
c) run stock?
d? DIY?
