So there are 2 roms in the android dev section which are based on miui.
1. Galnet
2. DSJ
What are the differences between the two?
Also is anyone who's used this, blown their menu led? is there any way to get all four led's working?

At first both roms are only ICS SDK ports and not complete ics roms and I think if you want to see the differences between both you will have to install them yourself.
Galnet is developed by a team of developers and DSJ I guess is developed by the user "davidsonsjesus". Correct me if I'm wrong.
would you have any idea about the led? I would not like to blow off my menu LED just to test the rom.
Thanks
No, sorry, i dont use MIUI. I only use Cyanogenmod... So if you want to try a ICS you could try the AOSP/CM9 rom. But please dont try it if you dont know what to do! Its not stable and there are a lot of things that dont work yet.

they only have framework integratesd and the build.prop that says is 4.0.1 but are gingerbread! and are not compatible with any ICS app
ICS uses sdk 14 apps and ginger bread uses 10 so in the galnet miui or DSJ build uses sdk 10 that are based on gingerbread!

so do we really get anything significant out of the added ics framework, or just for the name sake???
is it worth having it and risk getting more bugs from it?
where can I get MIUI stable ROM for Defy?
The official miuiandroid.com says that Stable 2.3.7a version is available . But when I try to download it using download page, it has 2.3.5a version.

ARHD has a lite version available which favors AOSP over Sense.
Hi guys, just have been wondering if anyone knows about whether there will be an official aokp rom for the phone once htc releases Android 4.0 for it, or not.
Maybe some insiders here?
Thanks

There are custom AOKP rom running ICS right know and the developers are currently working the minor bugs out of them. I am sure that when the official ICS is released for the DHD the devs will have the final source codes to perfect their roms.
ice cold sandwish is Aokp and aosp and cm same time but yes when every thing is stable and an official android 4 from htc is release for our DHD then expect to see AOKP and CM9 and Sense 4, Sense 3.6 for our device lovely isnt it?
as a user of dhd we can only be patient waiting for a reply from the offical test
Well, it will have to be submitted to the team, and you will need some good maintainers...

I've gotten the ICS update pushed from Tmobile/Samsung (via Kies), wiped, rooted, removed all the bloatware (wow - lots). Now I want a nicer ICS-based ROM compatible with the new firmware.
Questions:
1) What are people using now, other than stock on top of the new ICS firmware?
2) When will Juggernaut be updated (I -love- Juggernaut)?
3) Shall we give up on CM, or is there soon to be a stable release?

There is. Try Darside Venom. Or Infamous ROM
Darkside venom is the most stable for me plus the battery is very good too!
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA
Sounds like Darkside Venom is the solution.
Anyone have any intel about whether there will be a new release out soon, or if I should just install today?
Great if they'll have a fix for the hanging shutdown bug (noted on their forum page).

I would think there is going to be a new release soon as i though i read that he will be putting the stock kernel back into the ROM until his kernel is completed.
Cyanogen9 with custom kernl...
You know,Cyanogen mod team is working on bug fixes as I've heard.I suggest you using Cyanogen with custom kernels which makes you feel GALAXY...

This post was a little confusing - just to clarify the link you posted above is _NOT_ for the T989 GS2. Looks like you posted it to ask for whether any of these are available for T989.

I THINK ...I'm probably wrong here, but we can flash those roos in addition to some fixes like modem, rotation fix, etc....
Again, I THINK .
I hope this is the case because I really want to try paranoid from but it ha sent been developed for our device yet.
I'm running darkside v4 and I have to tell you, this is the best rom other at the moment. No bugs, fast, smooth, AMAZING BATTERY LIFE and just pure genius. Lol slap apex launcher on it and you have a pure ics experience. I also love juggernaut and was my rom before upgrading, so far no word on updating it. Go with DARKSIDE, trust me.

As for CM I belive its a. Nightly official now. Still a lot of bugs from what I read and therefore I haven't used it for more then two days straight. Lol

AOKP and CM are both more or less stable now. They got rid of the voice bug. Definitely stable enough for a DD. You won't find anything smoother either. I've been using AOKP, but might try out CM9 one of these days.
Battery on both beats anything that is non aosp.
hi,
i know asking what rom is better is not a good questions as it is different for different people. However, I just want to know what is the most stable, so once I flash it i dont need to keep re flashing.
I am ussualy a fan of CM and when they get stable releases I flash them and then dont need to think about it anymore. on my previous samsung galaxy S I used the CM9 RC for a long time until the stable CM9 came out and then used that.
currently there is not stable CM10 and when it comes out I will probaby use it perminently.
What JB rom can i install that will be stable to use for the next months until CM10 stable comes out?
im using stock JB right now.
stock.

ok i understand. but i guess the main things im lacking on stock is percent battery, ability to alter the navigation bar at the bottom, adding shortcuts to the lock screen slider, and themes.
is there any way to do that on stock? if not any other rams as clock to stable as stock

ok, what the heck is BAMF i searched that in the android development and dont know what rom your talkign about
Bugless Beast, 9-27 has to new binaries and is JRO03R.
Sent from my Nexus 7
Rasbeanjelly. Its the cleanest rom ever. Fast, amazing battery life and the latest aosp source. Also the nee binaries from jro03R. You should try it. It has the power widget, lockscreen targets and some more mods. If you dont like all the blue of the icons, simply flash modstorms white mod. Flash the rom + trinity/franco. The outcome is awesome performance, no slowdowns, everything just works. No reboots and sh!t. I highly recommend it.

I agree with this. Rasbeanjelly + trinity kernel. The rom is very clean. Here's the thread, but you should read the faq before doing anything: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1455874

I'm using AndroidME with Stock Google Kernel, works perfect, stable, actually it's a stock rom with improvements. The only thing missing for me is T9 Dialer, but no problem to install MOD for it.

You've already got the most stable Jelly Bean software then
stock, are you jellin, cm10.
after those you get into roms with more features and and there tends to be little bugs that sometimes go along with them.
Nothing against the others Ive had good experiences on alot of roms but as for the MOST stable these in my opinion would be them.
Stock ROM.
Beamed from my Grouper.
ok looking into BAMF and rasbeanjelly.
another question that could help me dicide between the two. do either have the possibility to upgrade the rom on the device without a computer. so when i install it i can always have the latest version without having to keep resetting to factory settigns and wiping all the data and cache

all roms do.. that's why you have custom recoveries.. i strongly suggest you read efrants stickies before you flash anything.

Yeah, you should read up on some stuff before continuing anything Rom related. Just look for stickied topics, read them, and you will have way less questions left.

are you sure? becuase when i was running CM9 RC2 on my old captivate, then the CM9 stable came out. I kept checking for updates in the settings and it kept saying my software was upto date. I had to download the new file and flash it again in clockwork mod.
