Hi
I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab and I installed my first overcome rom a month ago. An update has been released (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074759) and I was wondering:
1) To update do I need to go through the entire process as I did when I first installed the rom?
2) Are bugs typical in releases i.e. should I wait a while to see if further bugs are ironed out?

Hello developers.
I have 3 questions to ask.
1. The CyanogenMod 9 ALPHA (Build 5) rom was out for SGW in april. And it had Camera, FM radio issues. I want to know if they have released any latest version which doesnt have any issue?? I tried searching it online but couldnt get any. Please give me the link of the updated version.
2. Samsung Galaxy S I9000 just got CyanogenMod 10 (jelly bean). Is there any chance that it wil be available even for SGW?? Or is it already out? (Again i couldnt find any info regarding that as well). Please send the link so that i can flash the rom.
3. Can i flash CyanogenMod 10, which is released for Galaxy S, to Galaxy W? Will it work? Or will it cause any problems??
It will be really helpful (for rookie like me) to get the solutions from experts of xda. Thank you.
Cheers.
1. Build 5 is the latest
2. It is possible that someone will port it, but there is no JB ROM for the GW at the moment.
3. No you can't, the phone won't boot.
Q1. Build 5 is latest indeed, but there is a camera fix now, it still has some bugs, but it does focus now with stock camera app

Hello
Just want to correct Cm9 build 6 is now available..
(And here is the link for the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1576874)
If you want my opinion I say u better backup your files and try this rom, another thing don't worry about bugs the rom will NOT crash and stuff .....as long you flash it correctly. Except the known issues (FM and camera)
And for the camera I tested it and it can auto focus but not touch to focus..!
And for question two ......be patient you don't know how long we waited until Cm9 is here and camera is half working.
And foe question three OF COURSE you can't ....( like the man before me said)
Thanks for reading.

Hi Everyone,
I have Galaxy Tab [SHW-M180S]. Its a korean version. I want to install official ICS or Jelly Bean in it.
Please tell me the link for downloading that files.
Also,
Please tell me the process of rooting it and installing it.
THANKS
First I want to mention that this is the wrong section to be posting this question. This question should be asked in Galaxy Tab Q&A
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1081
Second the last official android os for the SGT7 was gingerbread 2.3
ICS & JB are custom roms

Hi,
There is no official ICS or JB, but there is a port.
I did a guide, please follow it step by step and you will have your TAB with ICS or JB.

Hi,
I’ve still have installed the original (Samsung) Android JB 4.1.2 version on my Note GT-7000. Could you please tell me what is at the moment the latest smootht working ROM for my phone? Should I install this ROM, do I still keep the Samsung software and its gadges (like “air view” & “Voice talk” ) for this phone, or will they be gone?
Also, do I need a newer Android version (JB 4.2.2, JB 4.3.0 or even JB 4.3.1) to be installed as well (seperately) or will one of these versions will be installed with the ROM at the same time? If one of these working JB versions needs to be installed seperately as well, could you please give me the right link where to download this JB version for my Note? I am asking you this, because I do not know if a smooth working ROM is depending on the JB version installed.
I hope you can help me out here.
Thank you!
Robert.

Hi and thanks for checking.
You posted this in a Sprint Note II forum so I've tagged your thread to see if the moderators can help you get to the right spot.
None of the ROMs that we have would be compatible with your device.
Hi there!
Do anyone know if ROMs cooked for Ace II would work on Ace IIx (GT-s7560M) and, in consequence, on Galaxy Trend (GT-s7560)?
I'm asking because due to the low popularity od Trend, I can choose from stock TouchWiz ICS and this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292696, which is also ICS and that doesn't satisfy me. As I can see, there are lots of JB ROMs for Ace II, hence the question.
Thank you for your answers
No. I see cm10.1(or 10.2, whatever) for ace 2x, thats android 4.2(jb) why not use that

Unfortunately, it's not that easy. You could attempt to port a ROM from the Ace 2, but it wouldn't be bugfree. Getting it booted would be a feat. Like the previous commentor said, there is a CM10.2 and CM11 (JB and KK ROMs) ROM for the Ace II X, though it isn't completely bug free. You could also try my Mod Pack (link in my sig) for the stock ICS ROM. The next update will include some AOSP ICS themed visuals, so it'll make stock ROM feel more AOSP and less Samsung-y.
Well, I haven't noticed at first, there's even 4.3 ROM cooked for Ace IIx ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2518416&highlight=ace+iix ), thanks for hints.
I'll try to set it up and running later today and confirm if it does the trick on Trend.

AFAIK, YoshiShaPow's Slimbean doesn't work. Bootloops. If you want a good ROM (and pretty much the only real custom ROM), try SeannyM's CM builds. There's 10.2 and 11 (Android 4.3 Jellybean and 4.4 Kitkat). All the source built ROMs for the Ace II X are currently buggy. There in his signature here. They'll definitely work with the Trend, but I'm not sure about RIL compatibility with the Trend. If it doesn't work, you can try flashing the Ace II X 'MG2 firmware from Sammobile with Odin, then installing CM.
For future seekers:
Well, after hours of flashing, wiping and testing, it's CM 10.2 ported by SeannyM which appears the best ROM for Galaxy Trend (originally meant for Ace IIx), CM11 has less features, ART doesn't work like it should and it's too buggy tu use so far. 10.2 has a couple of bugs but it's definitely usable as a daily driver. The most gear-grinding bugs are:
WiFi (either you have it turned on all the time or after turning it off you have to turn it on back again and reboot your device, otherwise it won't connect to any network saying 'authentication problem occurred'. That can also be a RIL issue with my device, as you've stated above),
Bluetooth, which simply doesn't work yet
Camera - you can just download any other camera app from play or whatever.
Some may also consider message which shows up after entering PIN ("a SIM card has been detected; reboot your device to install it" or something like that) a problem. You just bypass it by pressing 'back' button and everything's fine.
I use it with JB gapps and 1208MHz kernel, both also got to work by SeannyM, he has links to download all of them goodies in his signature.
Thanks for all the hints
I recently bought an Ace IIx, I quickly found out that it is different from the Ace II and there are less custom rom available. I would flash CM10.2 but I need bluetooth in my car, so I can't use CM10.2 until bluetooth is fixed.
For now, I'm running Daver's MG2 deodexed stock rom and I added a few tweaks (patched services.jar, installed busybox and enabled init.d support). Now, I would like to know if there are some init.d scripts available to improve performance?
Hello.
I have a Galaxy trend s7560
Root is working and cwm 5.x
Also. I flashed cm11 Android 4.4
On it from the Ace 2x.

OK first all of 4.2.2 doesn't make your phone slow or lag or something it's an update so it is for improvements and i have also been on 4.2.2 and it is definitely better and smoother than 4.1.2 and i really don't know about the stability update but yea the update did came in "K3" version of 4.2.2..ALL you have to do is better get updated as then you can move apk's to sd card with inbuilt function of 4.2.2 and many performance improvements and you can get that on http://www.sammobile.com/ just get registered for free and download...and FLASH IT VIA ODIN
as per what i can see "K7" is the latest but in my country INDIA K3 is latest works well on my device and you can even put some performance mod if you like
don't forget thanks button...
