Just wondering if anyone can resize this for the G2 its from a custom rom on the Mytouch/G1
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/29061873/bootanimation.zip
Resizing is easy...open it in winrar dont extract and double click the desc.txt and change the 320 480 to 480 800
http://db.tt/WDuAgbk
Learn something new everyday. However it doesn't work, all I'm getting is a black screen on boot.
Sorry about that...this one should work I tested and everything

Thanks man, idk what ya did but up and running.
Just for your benefit. When you use winrar it compresses everything inside that zip. For bootabimations you can't compress them
No pics? Dam......

Just lookin around google images and xda, and i noticed that there is no xda wallpapers!
i would really like some for my droid incredible considering this is all i do on my free time (eff homework), and i would make my own... but i have no photoshop experience. if anyone can make any wallpapers that would be awesome!
maybe if the development continues, every screen resolution can have an XDA wallpaper of their own... also, i would like for the wallpapers to be similar to the splash screen of the xda app. many thanks to the brave photoshopper who does this!
I would make you one But PS broken at the mo and im not too good with fireworks (as you can tell by the mcdonalds thing in my sig )
As soon as it's up i'll have a go Also do you know what size the image will need to be for the Incredible??
Thanks alot! The resolution for the incredible is 960x800.

What is a good program for capturing audio from video clips? I've made a few boot animations and want to add the audio from the original clips. Also how do I make a preview of them to post up? I guess I could throw them up on youtube. Where else could I post them at?
Thanks

I don't know how to extract audio but as far as making your bootanimation preview compile a second copy of your images into a .gif image. I'm assuming and hopefully you know how to do that?

What os are you using? If your on PC then just use jasc Animation Pro 3. Ill have to look at Linux and iOS for compatible programs if your not. As far as the audio extraction I've done it before but its been awhile and I don't remember how I did it. Maybe Audacity? I think that might be it.

We got beats on our phone. Then why cant be have its boot animation we can
here we go:
There are two animations one for cyanogenmod and one just with beats animation.
HOW TO INSTALL??
1.These are not flashable zips
2.use root explorer to install them.
3.first copy the bootanimation.zip then go to system/media
4.there delete the original and place this one .
5.change permissions to rw--r--r
6.reboot.

I like the Only Beats animation. Very smooth and neat without any nonsense. What resolution should the anims be at?

As you might know, the original dell stock logo had low frame rate. So I want to change it. What do I change it to?
Sent from my Blade using XDA app
unzip it then there is a file named desc.txt
Open it in any editor
Then in the first line the first 2 numbers are for screen resolution then is the frame rate change it to the value u like but don't make it very big.
Then compress it with compression type set to store and name it bootanimation.zip

You need open this directory with Root Explorer:
/system/customize/resource
Then, by looking it up on the right is selected "Mount R/O" hold the file and click on permissions, check all the matches and press OK.
really nice but the nvidia logo is in landscape mode . :crying:
I was waiting for someone to point that out. Sooner or later, I will get round to doing it in landscape.
The boot animation is simple awesome!
Is this a flashable zip?

I have no idea how to make a flashable zip, so I'm thinking that it probably is not a flashable zip.

It's not a flashable zip.
Edit : You can easily check that by seeing whether the zip has a Meta-Inf folder or not.

Black htc bootanimation is cool but the envidia animation is sideways lol. How can we adjust this?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
I'd have to go in to Photoshop, make a new canvas, copypasta each frame in, adjust the size, centrally align it for all 212 frames of the nvidia bit, and to be frank, I can't be arsed. Especially for a device that I do not use and my phone has a Qualcomm processor, so it is completely irrelevant to me. I just did this out of boredom

The boot animation I'm running now is about 16 MEGS. That's way bigger then the stock and its long as **** too..

Thats the file size i grasp that. I want to know the hieght and width to make the boot.
1920x1080 is the size you want. it didnt work for the animation im using now so its still a little smaller than i would like but it looks good. ill post a link is some one want to mess with it and make it for our phones.
this is the bootanimation im using but would like to have set for our phones. editing it with bootanimation app would fail and changing it with a root explorer and text editor made it not appear at all at boot. so right now its booting at the oriflginal size.

1080 x 1920? idk that's just my guess that's what I see in desc.txt in the bootanimation.zip
in the bootanimation app you set it to 1080x1920. the size is 1920x1080 but its switched in the app. (1080x1920)
