The boot animation I'm running now is about 16 MEGS. That's way bigger then the stock and its long as **** too..

Thats the file size i grasp that. I want to know the hieght and width to make the boot.
1920x1080 is the size you want. it didnt work for the animation im using now so its still a little smaller than i would like but it looks good. ill post a link is some one want to mess with it and make it for our phones.
this is the bootanimation im using but would like to have set for our phones. editing it with bootanimation app would fail and changing it with a root explorer and text editor made it not appear at all at boot. so right now its booting at the oriflginal size.

1080 x 1920? idk that's just my guess that's what I see in desc.txt in the bootanimation.zip
in the bootanimation app you set it to 1080x1920. the size is 1920x1080 but its switched in the app. (1080x1920)

Just noticed aokp has pretty much the same lockscreen but uses different images. This could be as simple as replacing some png files...
Gonna try it tonight and see what happens.
Of course that will just emulate the animation, not the water droplet sound or other options for the lg lockscreen. Hoping someone can port it properly soon.

This is good, but porting between lg phones should be somewhat different as the framework should still be similar. Needless to say, one could try to compare both this and the original you posted earlier, see what changed, and tackle these changes on the files on our devices.
Thanks. Hopefully, orc and the others can put this to good use.

DO NOT FLASH IN RECOVERY!
Make sure to have a file explorer installed to do these instructions, such as Root Explorer or (What I use) Root Browser Lite.
Steps :
1. Download the ZIP
2. rename it to "bootanimation.zip" or "shutdownanimation.zip"
3. push it into your /system/media
4. set permission -rw-r-r- a.k.a 644
5. reboot
6. PRESS THE THANKS BUTTON
7. ????
8. PROFIT!!!!!
Make sure you delete the old ones, "bootanimation.zip", "bootanimation_sprint.zip" and bootanimation_boost.zip or shutdownanimation.zip and shutdownanimation_sprint.zip"
Please let me know if these do not work or the link ever gets broken or anything like that.
I do not take credit for making any of these, I have found them throughout the internet and edited them to work with this phone, such as resizing the image. If any of them are yours then please let me know!
Mega, you seem to always be the first person to "thanks" my OP when I post anything. Haha.
Also, Almost done uploading. Decided to get an account at Android File Host, was just waiting to get approved for Dev. I am trying to take the stock Jelly Bean bootanimation and reverse it for a shutdown animation.

No, has to be done by the directions.
Updated OP and added 4 more bootanimations.
Theoretically couldn't you do this for any file that's supposed to be a bootanimation?
For instance, I have a GS3 as well so I frequent those forums and have a couple bootanimations for that phone. I could just install them on the OG the same way you explained in your OP. Do you think there would be any problems that would cause a brick/bootloop issue because of the different dimensions of the screens?
Changing the Sound - Awkward Sounds
Heya,
This worked perfectly the above method by Epic. However now when I boot up I get the awesome nexus boot logo but still the same awkward sprint boot sound. With a look digging I discovered that the boot up or as in the phone "PoweOn_Sprint.ogg" and the bootoff "PowerOff_Sprint.ogg" all located in the same media folder "/system/media/audio/ui/" So now the question is lets start picking boot sounds (on/off) maybe the nexus 4 will be a good start.
Thank you in advance,
TheAceX
What I would do is just search up android boot animations and so far anyone I likes has work. As for the sounds, you can make the boot sound literally any song or clip you want, my power on is the ps1 boot sound which is awesome. You just have to convert the sound into .ogg with an audio converter program, rename it PowerOff_Sprint or PowerOn_Sprint respectively and make sure its capitalized exactly that way, then put it in the Ui directory.
I was gonna post a how to but no one showed interest lol

Not a problem. Thanks man!
You could always try using something like THIS to convert any audio files.
I haven't tried this service so I can't vouch for it, but I've used ones like it before.
Then you install it just like the bootanimations (naming them appropriately and putting them in the proper folder).

You shouldn't (it is really unlikely) have any issues.
They may look a little stretched or won't fill the screen.
If the animation is somehow broken, Android doesn't need it to boot.
I might already know the answer, but can I add this to the rom your testing? and tell which one you would like me to try.

I know some people have been wanting to use the stock lg keyboard on some roms but have been having crashing problems. This is the stock keyboard working fine. Except the touch sounds and haptic feedback, I'm going to try to see if I can fix that. Anyway, I've tested this on Lifeless v14 only. If anybody tests it on other roms with success let me know.
Drop this into system/app and fix the permissions and reboot. Zip is not flashable
Edit: http://www.mediafire.com/?77xptx7aa7ax8x4
You must have the xposed framework to make the keyboard work.

I know. But as far as I know it should close on every deodexed rom. That's why lifeless and imperium don't include it. But it works for me on lifeless. I wish somebody on imperium would test it. So I can see if maybe I'm just lucky, or a stock deodex won't work.

Let us know when u find out, I forgot to tell u the the apk is named LGEIMEbin, and its supposed to be LGEIME, not that it helps to name it correctly but fyi, I will be looking at this as well but so far any deodexing will cause the app to not work on my end, and once deodexed there are a whole bunch of string errors when decompiling the app, hence the issue has to be with the classes.dex file as that's the one that gets added to the file when the app is deodexed, the classes.dex are the odex files in the apk.

Would love to see the stock keyboard deodexed for 4.1.2. I just created a custom conversation skin pack (still waiting to make ten posts before I can post links) but with the keyboard that is on lifeless it feels like it's way too bulky and takes up too much of the screen and I want to see my HQ backgrounds in all their glory. Also, the stock keyboard allowed me to path off of the screen and add a bit more control to swiped words.

[BootAnimation] Android 5.0 "L" Boot & Shutdown Animation <<Updated>> 7/25/14
oops
***original xbox bootanimation***??????
Ok people I've been trying to compile the original Xbox startup bootanimation for the past couple of days. I'm damn near to the point of banging my head against the wall!!! I've downloaded a bootanimation from here at XDA and altered the 'desc.txt' file many many times to try and resize res to fit the G3. I've even got a sound file to go with as well. To no avail nothing has worked. Strangly though I can actually preview the bootanimation using a BOOT apk from play store and change the res and fps as well.
Whenever I install and reboot all I get is a black screen. The BOOT apk places the zip in data/local where when adding a bootanimation manually we all place the zip in system/data/media folder. Nothing works. Everything I've tried always results with a black screen. I'm placing the bootanimation files I have used in a link below. There are two different Xbox bootanimation files. If someone can make this happen I would be more than willing to buy them a beer!!! Or Hell even two!!! I just don't have much patience when it comes to things like this. I mean I've wasted 24 hrs of my life trying to make one damn bootanimation and have nothing to show for it....... I'm desperate and need HELP!!!!

If this link is bad please let me know and I will fix.
Here is the link for the bootanimation apk I used to preview the animation and resize.
