hi all, i just realized that my 3g/data connection is gone after installing leedroid3.0.03 with radio Radio_12.35d.60.140fU_26.08.03.07_M
anyone experiencing the same issue? is it safe to try another radio version?
Check you APN settings. Do a Google search to find the correct settings for your carrier. They are under settings-wifi and networks in your phones menu.
If that doesn't work. Flash a different radio.
Hope this helps

flash the recommended radio by leedroid as he built the rom with that radio so it works best

I flashed the later radio that was on the modaco website and my data speeds are a lot slower! anyone else experiencing this? any way of downgrading? I assume I can flash old radio but not sure where to get it!

What Radio version did you flash exactly?
How did you notice that your data speeds are less?
When you change the radio version, there is that chance that it may not work better than the last version you had as they are known to work better in specific regions.
I would also like to know where we can get a hold of Radio 4.05.00.11 (i think) incase i need to revert back to stock.
Hey folks,
is it somehow possible to downgrade the radio to an older one without wiping or resetting the whole phone via RUU?
I just tried to flash an older one over the current radio image and it doesn't seem to work
Why do I want to downgrade anyways?
My phone crashs all the time. Especially when it's connected to the original charger from HTC (1000mA) and I try to use an app. Or when I use several apps at the same time, when not charging.
It could be the hardware-failure, everybody is talking about lately...
BUT I found out that everything is fine with the performance and stability of the phone, when I am using it in airplane-mode.
Everything was fine a few month backs, when I was using some older radios and ROMs.
The crashs seem to be somehow connected to mobile data usage (2g/3g). I've heard that some radios might be "better" in some regions as others. I'm from Germany, so maybe this is causing the instabilities.
I thought it is worth a try, before complaining hat HTC
Starting situation:
rooted AMOLED Desire (HBOOT 0.80.000 + S-ON)
AmonRa Recovery v2.0.1
Redux v1.1.1
vorkKernel 2.6.37.2 (CFS, SVS)
Radio 32.54.00.32_5.14.05.17
Thank you guys
You need to use the radio zips from recovery when you are s-on.

Most likely to be hardware failure. Send it to HTC for motherboard change. Search for desire overheating and rebooting on its own in the forums and see if symptoms match. Had mine replaced

have done that, but it doesn't affect any downgrade.
How have you exactly done it? And you sure you didn't get any errors in recovery?

Downloaded old radio from the thread here on xda
copied to SD
booted into AmonRa Recovery
flashed the zip directly from sd
no erros, flashing susscessful (something like that displayed)
selected "reboot phone"
As always the normale procedure...
except that this time the ROM was booted after leaving the recovery, instead of the regularly shown "radio-installation-box-logo"...

The phone is running since two days straight without any crash and exceptional battery life, heavy usage...the only downside...mobile data is deactivated.
Does nobody know how to downgrade the radio?
Thanks.
Actually after trying the senventh Radio (no ****!) I succeeded
The only downgrade was possible with the "32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2" radio.
And since then my phone is running stable again! Amazing

Great! Glad you don't have to send it away.

Hi all.
Last night I was reading thread regarding GingerVillain 2.1 and some people were saying something about new ril and drivers with it. Apparently that help them with signal strenght and such. My question is if I can use it with any Tom out there or just with the GV2.1? I am currently trying reduce 1.2 with latest radio 3.54.
Thanks in advance for any replays.
Regards

ok firstly, neither your radio nor your recovery are the latest so if you are having signal issues i would recommend trying new radio first. there is a seperate topic named 'new bravo radio' search for it - its radio extracted from leaked bravo gingerbread RUU.
now about RILs. these are (i think) android-drivers corresponding to radio-drivers. RIL is stored in ROM, so if you wipe or install new ROM, RIL you flashed will be gone unless you re-flash it (from recovery). Every official RUU big-update contains (usually) new radio and it's RIL. however, it doesnt neccesairly work in a way that once you flashed a radio, the RIL that came with it will improve things. turns out that for various devices on various networks running various ROMs things may differ. thats why in the end some ppl are using even nexus one RIL on desire.
so if you flash RIL that someone said to work well on this rom with this radio version it could be not the case for you. but you can try diffrent RILs until you found one that works fine for you. personally as long as my desire performs just fine i dont see a point to experiment with RILs.
That was an amazing explanation!
Main reason I would look to change my radio with ril would be to benefit my signal. Sometimes I am loosing a signal (even wifi) for about few seconds and than it reestablishes itself again. I will definitely loo for new radio flash that and than see what's happening.
Thanks again.

Hi,
I recently updated the ROM (Lee Droid 3.0.5) and the RADIO (32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.08) on my HTC Desire (Telstra NextG 850Mhz)
I un-rooted the device, then installed CWR mod, followed by S-Off.
Now my internet speeds are absolutely terrible!
I was getting *consistent* 5mpbs + download / 1.2mbps + upload speeds in Speedtest.Net app...
Now I'm getting 1.4mps download / 400kbps upload speeds AT MOST!
I have tried downgrading ROM to stock 2.2 and RADIO to 32.48.00.32U_5.11.05.14... and have tried many things but nothing is helping, and in fact its getting worse.
I have no idea what to do, ANY help would be much appreciated!!
Check your RIL version, and try to upgrade.
Made Nandroid backup before flashing radio? If, just restore it and problem should be solved.

It may be a hardware issue, but to confirm it, you'll have to flash a RUU.
Make sure you have the stock hboot.
Do a nandroid backup, download the ruu in my sig (pb99img.zip), take the zip, and place it on the root of your sd-card (like, outside any folder), boot in hboot, and select yes. After flashing the firmware, check if the signal problem persists.
If yes, then it's not a software fault.
You can then s-off and reinstall your recovery with revolutionary, and restore your backup.
doesnt work what can be wrong with hardware?

So you flashed the ruu?
Then, yes, it's most probable a hadware falut.
yes i flashed ruu with hboot i think 1.02
