[Q] Looking for a Status Bar mod - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I really like the Skyraider 4.0 Status Bar. I like how it has the recent apps shown in it. I also like Miui's toggle menu on the Status Bar. So my question is this, does anyone know if any Status Bar exists that has those two things in it? Or something close to that.

I haven't ever run across a mod for any rom with both recent apps and toggles in your status bar, afaik its either/or.

There is but not for the droid incredible it comes pre installed with htc sense 2.1 gingerbread.

I see. Bummer. Well maybe someone could make one sometime....haha. So what Status Bar mod would get me the most recent apps like Skyraider? I use CM 7.0.3 btw.

Not sure, I haven't seen one. Might ask in the cm7 thread. You can also long press home for recent apps.

Good idea. For some reason I just like it in the status bar....maybe from my Blackberry days. *shrugs*

App for toggles in notification bar?

Is there an app to put toggles in the pull down bar so I can customize what buttons are there? Thanks
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Don't think so.
But most custom ROMs these days have it automatically built in.
And if they don't, there are usually flashable zips for it in the Themes/Apps section.
Widgetsoid does this. It's slightly buggy (ie: a popup with the widget comes up when you toggle something) and you have to have the widget on a homescreen. The widget can be invisible if you so choose but it still takes up space (I think, never tried it). If you have multiple launchers just put it on the one you're not using if you don't want it.
But yeah, it's a great toggle app & it's free. I used the notification toggles before I switched to cyanogenmod, now I don't need them but I still use the widgets.
By the way, you'll need to get the version named "widgetsoid 2.x*
Hope this is what you're looking for :]

MIUI with a home replacement

So I just started messing around with MIUI this morning after only ever using stock-like roms like CM and what not. But I really like MIUI for the most part, all the apps that come with it are really cool, and the the notification pull down is awesome with all the controls. And I love the transparent status bar. I just hate the actual home screen, I can't stand not having a launcher and being require to have all my apps on my homescreen. So I decided to try and use a home replacement but I guess since its an app the status bar can't be transparent?
So is there any soloutions to any of these things, can you get a transparent bar in a home replacement? Do MIUI apps work with other roms?

I bet the apps can work on other roms if you modify it

[Q] change notification bar

hello
I have CM7
and I want to change the ugly black background in the notification bar, to something like sense or something...
there is an application to change it?
thanks for any help
Theme Chooser, download themes from the market or on here. Transparent themes won't work unless you patch cm7 first though.

Never heard of patching it. Could you tell me how to do that?
a sick status bar will just be the icing on the cake for my wildfire.
I have tried apps like custom status bar and status bar + but neither offer what i want.
I'm sure i found an app that let me set wallpapers as the texture for the bar, but i cant remember which app it was

Have you tried to use holo launcher? :| It works for phones running group or above.

I'm using holo launcher now. It replaces the home and app drawer and such but not the status bar and that's what I'm looking to replace.

there are some 3rd party apps that can use for a custom status bar like statusbar + or something like that, but you cant tweak the existing one w/o root
Thanks I appreciate the info
Andy has some really nice looking ICS themes.
Check out his SkyRaider Zeus 1.3 ICS theme. http://www.teambamf.net/topic/2044-...for-skyraider-zeus-13-inc2-port-of-clandroid/
Or his BoneStock: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412661
He does great work. They all do, but I'm partial to Andy...in a totally bro-friendly, non-gay way.

Transparent Nav and Notification Bar?

Are there any devs or someone smarter than me, that could theme the top notification bar and bottom navigation bar to be semi transparent/fully transparent like how it is on the homescreen w kitkat, so when im in an app it could still be transparent instead of big black bars?
I'm a newb when it comes to editing ui files etc, thanks for the help.

I think when you update to 4.4.2 Google gave all the devices the transparency on both the nav bar and notification bar. Its even on the lockscreen too. If you open up some app they take advantage of it. Some apps don't such as fb. I think its up to the developers to update their apps. So I'm not convinced you need to modify your frameworks or anything like that its all enabled bone stock =]

yeah im just wondering, if its possible to modify the files to make it to where even if an app hasn't, the black will still be semi transparent, b/c im sure there will be plenty of developers who choose to not bother adding it

[GUIDE][MOD] Make Status Bar & Navigation Bar transparent in 4.4 Home/Lockscreen
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I tried this before on aokp jellybean, its ugly because the transparency isnt within the apps (just like iOS) but the homescreen you can see your wallpaper while inside an app lol i guess it all depends on the app if it wants you to use full emersion :/

Use gravity box module with xposed
Only nexus 5 has transparent bar, nexus 4 update to 4.4.2 cannot install latest android home launcher.
You mean like this?

GPU: 450 MHz Overclock

Just went thru an rooted installed this mod, literally does everything, except transparency lol Thanks tho for the help/replies guys.
Just use a custom rom with it built in. Custom roms have had transparencies way back in the day. Where do you think Google got the idea?
Xposed does this well. You have to enable transparency AND have a launcher and touchscreen that supports it. If your launcher doesn't support it then it won't work. Gotta have both.
