I was wondering if there is anyway I can see my app data. Like lets say I have Pinball and I wanted to find my app data that had like my highscores in it, where it be or how would I find it? I have my Evo rooted also.
Why do you want to find it? To back it up?
All app data is in /data/data/<package name>/ or somewhere on the SD card (/sdcard/data/, etc.)

You can use adb shell, or a file manager like OI File Manager or Root Explorer.

The zip that you download IS NOT flashable, so you would have to use a zip eztracting program to unzip it. When you unzip it, it has three folders in it (ringers, notifications, and alarms). Then move the files (all, or just the ones you want) in each of those folders into the folders with the same name your have listed on you sd card.
There are a few good free Zip programs on the net if you don't already have/use one. Most are free "trials", but you can still use them to do this!!

No... I have to put the APK installer file into internal memory... Not after installing.... Is b4 installing
In the basic sense of the question, it means just put the APK "NOT" within the sdcard or any folders under it. I think this only possible if you're rooted.
In any case, I wonder why there's such requirement. APK is just an installer and even in the sdcard level it should work or run. Then when you install, default is the app will be placed in the INTERNAL memory. That should be what you wanted.
Maybe tick the unknown sources option if its not already?

I suppose that's what i will do also even if doing so sounds strange. If still don't work probably its a bad apk. Try it on another device or look for another source.

test using titanium, so you can integrate the game to system, it can work maybe
For what purpose?
i have a *ahem" game called "Spectral Souls"....
but i can't install~
You can put it to system/app with Root Explorer if a install from sd card doesn't work.

Hey guys. I have installed various apps in my phone and when I try to find the installed folder using a file manager, it's like all over the place. Most of them are inside the /sdcard/android/data... but some are just in the root of the phone storage.
Is there a way for me to know the path of a shortcut just like when you right click a shortcut in the desktop from your PC?
Thanks.
/system/app and /data/app.
Application files will have an .apk extension.
Corrected typo.

As previous poster said but .apk instead of .spk
The apps store their data where ever they want though. /data/data, /sdcard/, /sdcard/data/, /sdcard/android/data/, others.
Shortcuts work different in android. You use the shortcuts from the app list in your launcher. You can create shortcuts on launcher by long pressing an open space also.
One other way is to use intents to call a app but that's pretty advanced

Thanks guys. Reason I asked is I'm trying to find the path of apps I want to bind on SD using directory bind and its hard knowing where they are installed.
Remember in PC when we right click a shortcut, click properties, we can see the path of the installed files. Is there something like this in android?
i have a soundboard app, that doesent need data connection to play(so i know the sound files are SOMEWHERE on my phone) and i want to find them and save them to eternal storage, how would i go about doing this? would my phone have to be rooted?
rooted - probably yes...BUT don't assume that if an app plays any sounds that they are in a separate file or even file format that can be easily extracted and used outside the app. All depends on how the developer decided to make the files available, and if they are in a separate file or not.
Poke around with something like the ES explorer or other file system browser. If this needs a data connection to get the sounds originally, you MIGHT find them...
As pointed out, it depends on how the dev made the app. You may need to decompile it. (If you need to ask how, you need to search smali, backsmali, aol multi tool, etc)

Depends on how the app saved the music. It may be propitiatory format like what Audible does. My guess the location would be somewhere in /data partition. That's where typically application data resides. Start to look for it under /data/data

If you can't find the files anywhere else, then you may have to. Not guaranteeing it, just giving you somewhere to look.
Already told you what to search for if you want to learn how to decompile an app.
(Though aol multi tool should be APK multi tool!)

so i can get inside the app's folder in data/data. but inside all of the folders are some weird file types. I assume that means i have to decompile the app?
Possibly. Try unzipping it first. It may have a resources folder that's easier to get to. If not then I'm guessing you may have to fully decompile it.

ES File Explorer is fine. You are looking for a Direcotry/Folder called Resources. Once you find it, you will need to analyze the contents to find out where the App Data is.
If you don't see it you'll have to decompile to find all its contents. Though audio isn't usually compiled in that I'm aware of. But if you can't find it elsewhere, that's the best place to look next.
