As far as I know you can't fix it, its just how its coded or what not. Did it to me stock even before I rooted and flashed ROMs I dont think there was a fix or anything for it either.
Ok thanks I was really hoping for a fix tho. Modded version of qik mabay?

Maybe by editing the build.prop you can achieve this.
I tried spoofing the Nexus S 4g, but unfortunately no luck on the video.
Edit: Actually it does not look like the Nexus S 4G is supported either..
This worked for me using EF02:

Is There native video calling on the epic?
I have seen other galaxy s phones and they have a video call button on the dial pad. But I have a message button.
Is it a gingerbread feature?
I am on gingerbread but its a leak. Eh17. And I know some of the features are disabled like the over scroll and the crt animation and the gingerbread keyboard.
Is this one of the disabled features maybe?

Wouldn't that be sweet? I think they will be pushing the Video in Google Talk when official GB hits. We all know how horrible Qik was.
I did not hear anyone mention it on the Galaxy II Epic Touch which comes with Gingerbread so doubt it will be included. Were the phones you saw European Galaxy S phones?
i was wondering this too, does anyone know why its not there?

I was using it on my Epic on EH17 and it works very well. I tried to add it to Froyo but no joy. It works extremely well on the ET4G with the 2 megapixel front camera. I did a 20 minute video chat with qbking from my Epic. I was on 4G and there was no lag or stutter but there was occasional sound loss for 2 seconds and it picked right back up. I think GB 2.3.4 is required for it to work

So how do you enable it? Its not an extra charge with sprint is it? Cuz on the bottom of the dial pad its a green call button then a grey or black back up button and then a text message button where the video call button should be but its not.

No. It will enable video calling option in Gtalk. There is no app for native video calling on the Epic. However a Google search of this reveals Google's intent to put it in 2.3.4. I am guessing you saw it on a non-Galaxy S phone since none of the US carriers have GB yet. But the Conquer and Galaxy S II series have 2.3.4 as well as the Nexus and no one has mentioned this native video calling. So is Sprint not supporting it to avoid the bandwidth overload?

OK, just read some of the articles and they are talking about Google Talk with video. So not sure where you saw the video call button on the dial pad unless it will be integrated with the Google Talk and for contacts that have it enabled.
Look for the one Shinydude posted. The the pictures are the right side up, and the video option is inside to G-Talk app. I flashed it on Hurricane and CompKid's ROMs and it works well. If anyone needs a link,.let me know. EDIT..wipe cache and Dalvik and flash this. It will automatically reboot your phone..

Maybe it was on a galaxy s 2 phone. And I was mistaken. But it was definitely not on the epic tho. But another galaxy s phone or at least some Samsung phone with touch wiz 3. Cuz the dial pad looked exactly like mine but with the video call button instead of the messaging button.

Yup, option the dialer is exactly the same. The link I posted for G-Talk w/ video chat works on 2.3.4 ROMs only... at least it didn't work on the Froyo ROMs I tried but I am pretty sure you need to be on GB 2.3.4 so EH06, AND EH17 ROMs are fine. Kenny, is EG22 2.3.4 or 2.3.3?

No, its only inthe G-Talk app. There's a little videocam icon instead of a green dot when others with video chat (either on phone or PC) are available. I chatted with TheRoot as well. He was on his PC and I was on Urban Decay..I answered my own question..lol. It does work on EG22.

So, the OP thinks that on one of the AT&T GS variants, there is a video call button on the bottom of the phone diaer? Well, that's either captivate or infuse 4g, so it shouldn't be hard to find a pic or video.

Do we need to uninstall or remove any previous versions of Gtalk prior to flashing this one or does it automatically replace existing versions?
I've tried retro camera and fx camera but I wanted to use the stock camera app and use my volume button to trigger the flash. Isn't there an apk that does that passively?
PS the volume button zooms so would need some type of remapper app

Not liking vignette, since I can't use it from IM.
Launch "camera" to send a photo as an attachment and it launches vignette, but chokes after it successfully takes the pic. I forget the message, but basically that the data returned to handcent was invalid.. Possibly the effect of vignettes "preview", idk.
So since its a .rar does it need to be extracted? Has anyone had success yet?

I searched the forum to try and find an answer, with no luck. My main question is why can't we find the youtube app in the market, or update it without manually downloading an APK. I am running stock rom, no root, and I am on version 2.1.6. Clearly there has been several updates to the app since the version I have. I am just wondering why the newer versions are "incompatible" with our phone? I mean isn't this suppose to be the latest and greatest phone that Sprint has to offer?
Not working. Any ideas?
I installed this APK and it looks great, but it doesn't work....loads a video forever!! WEIRD. I rebooted and nothing. Any suggestions?

The March Madness NCAA app? You don't need to to pay.
Just text 0byu to 2653 and you will get a code to sign up for free.
The app works with Calkulin's E4GT 2 v1.1
Can I wipe and flash from CM9 on stock CM9 recovery with FC07 kernel.? OR should I go back to EL29 and CM7 and then flash?
I've got 4.0.3 with FC07 modem, and the first add shows but then the game doesnt stream.
