I assume this works with any nightly/stable cm7? Like it doesn't break the camera or wifi?

What is the min / max CPU freq of this kernel? I like to run my phone at 1ghz
Do I use SetCPU for this?
booted fine on sense 3.0 everything is going very fast, BUT lost the camera and some 3D graphics on the weather. This has happened every time I try a oc kernel on sense 3.0. regardless this is probably a good kernel .when I get tired of sense in a few days and flasher cm7 again I will test your kernel. Thx.
I just flashed your kernel, well, kind off. In cwm everything looks fine but after booting it looks like the kernel was not changed. No new governors or other changes :S

Users are mentioning same problems with eugene's kernel, so something is going wrong in combination with certain roms/radios

i tested it and same here, no new governors. I am on CM7, nightly #65 w/ the .30 radio. also wifi broke for me. under "wifi", it says "Error" and the checkbox wont check (wifi wont turn on). i flashed multiple times and wiped dalvik-cache, but nothing worked
EDIT: disregard above post about the wifi. downgraded radio as lainvalenajr has mentioned, and now it works fine. but the issue of still having no new governors is still present

I dont think I quite understand your situation, are you rooted or not, according to this post you say you are stock besides "peraroot (I think you meant permroot)and the kernel" , so meaning you are rooted (s-off)??. Anyways if you are rooted why are you using gscript to OC with? And if your on a custom kernel why not use setcpu or something similar.
If your not rooted (s-on) then I think I remember when using the gsript files that 1.4 and over was unstable, if you want something a little higher than 1ghz use something like word pad to change the value in the script you are pushing for the oc to go to 1.1ghz or 1.2ghz etc..

From my experience, not all processors are created equal... Some just handle the higher frequencies better than others do.
I have loaded everything why not working download kernel should put first in phone should I do in computer
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
Yes I'm permarooted. S-off. I'm useing gscript because that's what was done in the video. I have setcpu and use it but with out a overclock program I can only raise it to 806MGz and with oc. I can raise it to 1017MGz. If that's as high as I can go then I guess I just have to deal with that.

As someone said earlier, I think you are using the old, unstable method. I highly recommend u updating to a ROM with OC embedded into the kernel.
It is also true that "not all processors are created equally" but this is the only case I have read with it freezing at 1.4.

I have the same problem ,i am running virtouos ROM with evil 12/10 and if i over-clock anything over 1094mhz my phone freezes the the only way that i can manage more than that is if i set it to performance scaling with no profile and there is no point on doing that because it eats the battery .its only good for benchmarking ,i think your problem is same is me, you have been unlucky with your CPU .i am just hoping its going to be different when gingerbread come out.

Have you given CM6.1 a go just to compare if you can clock higher using a different ROM?
If you are indeed using the gscript method then this has been explained many times! there's a whole giant humungo thread about that hack when it initially came out.
the reason your phone's freezing is because you're asking it to clock faster, but you arent giving it more juice to offset the additional work it's conducting..hence the freeze. that old hack (while it was awesome at the time) is very outdated and has been surpassed by actual performance kernels.
It's all in the thread. you wouldnt put low octane in a sports car would you? same principle lol

So I just tried to run WiFi Calling (Desire S port b3r3.1), and it kept force closing. Obviously not a big deal since WiFi isn't currently working, but does your kernel have the kineto module in it so that once we get WiFi we can do WiFi calling? Also, I tried to run LED Me Know, and it also FC'd. I don't know if that's a kernel problem, a ROM problem, or if it's just not compatible with ICS yet, but I thought I'd let you know in case it was a kernel problem.
Thanks again for all the hard work!

OK, so I have AOKP nightly build on my Galaxy Nexus GSM and I love it to pieces! But whenever I flash Trinity kernel, it boots and then a minute later, reboots again... I don't know why it does this since I did clear cache and dalvik cache whenever I flash something.
I did not try any other kernels yet.
Also I am starting to think that it's setCPU that is causing this problem... Or maybe because I try to overclock to 1.5 Ghz??????
If it boots and runs at 1200mhz but crashes any higher, the problem is likely to be your device, not the kernel. Not all devices are stable when over clocked, even a relatively small amount.

I understand what you're saying, but the thing is that when using stock kernel that comes with AOKP Nightly, I can overclock upto 1.8Ghz without any problem (I just oveclock to 1.4 though).
Whenever I flash to Trinity, it reboots when I try to overclock to 1.5Ghz. It came undervolted, so I did overvolt it about 100 and still no luck Do you think I need to factory reset, then flash?

Hello, i am new to the android world, and am loving it. Ive tried a couple of roms, and decided to stick with Liquid Smooth Jelly Bean Rom. My only problem is this:
i have set the max frequency for the processor to be 1512 mhz(or lower sometimes), but sometimes it keeps automatically setting itself to 1900mhz, which i do not want. Is there a way to set it so that it will never go above 1512?
btw i am on 3.0.45 leanKernel if that helps.
Thanks

Depends what kernel you're running, some kernel apps let you lock the frequencies so they cannot be changed by apps. If an app needs to run faster it will bump up the speed, so might want to check into that. Works on KT747 Kernel (Ktweaker).

Here's the link for the KT747 Kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756776 . It works with all AOSP (CM10, AOKP etc.) aswell as most touchwiz roms. I've never used Liquidsmooth so Idk what it's about but this thread should contain information about which roms it is compatible with. If you have any questions I suggest starting a new thread about what its compatible with or asking directly in the thread. Good luck Always flash Rom before kernel.

I need some help. So my issue can be a couple of things. So I flashed a beanstalk Rom last night and as of this morning and early afternoon I had internet, could connect to Fb and etc. But I also had my line switched last night from being under my ex's line to my own and for a moment then I couldn't connect until I selected some plan. So back to today everything has been fine until I noticed flashing the latest Nos script. It was some time after then where I couldn't log on. Not immediately but I knew since then I couldn't. So my question is would it be because of that script or something on the t-mobile side? I haven't called because my phone is rooted and not sure how to handle that. Sounds like there's a problem with the script. You could make a nandroid and do a clean flash to see if everything works.
OK so I think it was a script or possibly the kernel. I went to a nandroid I made last night and went to that. Had the same radio and but no script and not the newer kernel and it works fine.

Yeah I removed the script including the sysctl. conf file. Then put the original one back and it was good. I have been running Liquidsmooth RC9 since November as my main rom. Have V6, GPU oc'd, reversed mounting script for external/internal sd, and sound mods on it with kko kernel. I flash all the roms though just to see how they run. I really like the linaro builds lately that are coming out. They seem to be getting snappier and overclocking to 2ghz with the uber kernel is sweet just to test with but not an all day thing or your phone will blow up. Been staying on 4.1.2 for stability reasons mainly. Camera and video doesn't act crazy, notification lights work, and the coding of the kernels isn't out of whack like some of the 4.2.2 roms. Eventually I will jump fully to a 4.2.2 rom but for now I am good with 4.1.2 because it's reliable with no issues.
