Hi,
my bluetooth doesn't turn on, I've tried a couple of different roms, MIUI and CM7same problem.
Would flashing a new radio fix it? Any ideas what the correct way to go about fixing this would be?
Thanks.

Does it work on a Stock ROM? If not, return the phone.
That's a good point.
But it's going to be a lot of hard work getting it back to stock. It was working before MIUI.
I want to know if there's another way to fix before going that route?
But for a sec let's talk about your suggestion.... If I find a stock rom do I just flash that (after a nandroid obviously)?

Hello everyone,
I've been a lurker here for a bit. Some time ago I used Unrevoked, did something wrong installing the original FroYo update and screwed up my phone. I migrated to the DX in the meantime, but this weekend I wanted to return to the Inc. I successfully revived it after a lot of trial and error.
Now my issue: I have tried several ROMs including SkyRaider and Cyanogen, but my location service is not working. Not in Google maps, search, not for weather widgets, nothing.
I'm not sure if this is related, but I have tried a few different radios thinking that could be the issue, but its not. Also, I can only seem to get a working earpiece with the V1 radios.
Any ideas on how to get my Inc fully functional again?
Thanks.
Try the latest RUU. Short of a brick or hardware problem, that will fix anything.
Search for Bezerker7 and Ultimate get back to stock thread, that'll explain how to flash the RUU and get back to stock, see if location services work on stock 2.2 unrooted, and then you can re-root and flash ROMs.
EDIT: Here's the link.
I'm assuming that this phone is not activated as you have the DX? If its not activated and on the Verizon network then it can only get a location through GPS which may or may not be turned on. I would check to make sure your GPS is turned on in the settings, or use a toggle widget, and then try Google Maps again. I also think the weather widgets don't use GPS as the default and that may have to be set in their settings too. They get their location information from the carrier.

Thanks guys, this worked! Any clue why it happened in the first place?
If you didn't wipe data, then all sorts of crap will happen. You're lucky if you don't bootloop. I bootlooped even when I flashed the same rom and same version over again and didn't wipe data. So maybe it wasn't that.
Maybe it was just something left over, CWM not wiping or something like that.
I really hope it wasn't a hardware defect that subsided for a while
ok im a noob and cant find what im looking for, ive read around and i see a radio change or upgrade would fix this but im reluctant to flash as i have the latest radio (13.55.55.24h_3.35.20.10)
can someone help me out or point me in the right direction please!!??
thanks in advance!
Irrespective of the version you have, you have to reflash the radio. (Even if you are reflashing it with the same version you are having). A longer alternative is to go back to a Sense ROM, keep GPS on there, get a fix, and reinstall CM7 without turning off GPS, but, for your BT issues you will probably have to reflash the radio anyway.

WORKED a treat!
ok, heres the deal. Ive played with just about every rom for this phone. Then one happy merry day, i decide to install miui (i loved it on my dinc 1) then after getting my fill of it i went back to stock (andybones stock rom i think it was). Now the 3g keeps cutting off so i have to use wifi whenever i get the chance or be stuck with 1x, and it wont send or recieve calls unless im outside. I tried flashing the latest radio, trying different roms, RUU then reroot, but its still having this issue. Anyone else having this issue? Anyone find a fix?
BTW its the miui rom from miui.us

Have you tried *228 option 1 then *228 option 2 from an OTA based ROM? If not I would suggest giving that a try.

tried it didnt work tho. I even tried reinstalling the radio but it didnt help much. the way i see my best options are:
1) just call in for a replacement but ive already done that so much im sure verizon hates me xD
2) wait for the ics update to come out which i recently discovered is confermed by htc to come out soon this year
3) turbo charge the 3g i do have to get a better connection out of it and just stay on wifi when im at my house
unfortunatley i would really like to find a fix for this so if anyone wants to help out by finding a way or making one id appreciate it. Ive already googled the crap out of this but youre welcome to look around.
You could have a hardware issue, or you could be having the issue that just about everyone had on the Incredible 1 at some point.

Try that, but with files for our phone. Do NOT use the RUU for the Dinc1. Or, try flashing a stock based ROM like SkyraiderZeus. If none of this works, its probably a hardware issue.
OK, so I have AOKP nightly build (Aug, 13th version) and whenever I use toggles to turn on camera flash while on lockscreen and try to turn it off again, it doesn't turn off and doesn't let me connect to the camera... I used Trinity kernel if that'll help, but no luck. Does anyone have this issue? If so, found any solutions?
I tried to fix permission, reflash ROM and wipe the data and do a clean install.. I don't wanna use other ROMs since I am loving this ROM... Got any ideas?
love the Rom, use it with what it comes with.
Don't change kernels on demo rom's

Yup, went back to original kernel that comes with AOKP. But the problem persists. I think it's just a bug... So I have flash off the toggles.. I have widget for it anyways
Hi,
Can anyone help. My M8 has stopped making and taking calls and texts. Other sim functions, using data for web apps, using gps, work fine and no other function is affected.
I'm using viper, but have tried flashing other roms like hd revolution and nothing works. I'm about to send it for repairs, any advice welcome. Thanks.

Did you go back to Stock to make sure the problem is the same there as well? Well...You'll probably have to go back to stock anyways if you want to send it back for warranty so you might as well have a look then.
If it works fine when on stock and the problem remains on custom ROMs then I can't help with that. Maybe ask in the custom ROMs threads. Maybe Radio issue? Have you tried flashing another Radio, tried updating? Then again you say that you can use web apps so...
Try restoring Stock backup and check what it does, if it still remains then it's already stock and you can have a warranty exchange.
