Hey guys,
Here's my problem:
I dropped my desire with amoled screen, which made the glass and the screen behind that break. I bought a new touch screen and lcd-screen and repaired my phone, but now I can get the phone on, but I don't see anything.
I searched on the internet and thought the problem might be that I first had a amoled screen and now have a lcd-screen. That means I got the wrong rom.
The real problem here is, that when I connect the phone to the computer, the computer does not get regonize the phone (probebly because I choose the charge only option the last time).
How do I get my phone to work properly again?
EKdude
U need to look for SLCD brick fix, 2 options run an RUU for SLCD screen or use an sappimg and install it thru bootloader, u can find booth here in xda, with tutorial..

My desire had Remix HD rom flashed on it. One day suddenly it shuts off and wont get past the HTC screen. I flash it again with complete wipe and it works fine again. the a few days later the same thing happened
then I flashed it with a stock RUU and it got updated to hboot .93
Now after somedays same thing happens but this time it won't even boot and no response to charging or anything.
Gave to the service center they said if they change a part it makes it boot but it won't go past the HTC screen and as its not from India (its an orange branded desire) so we can't help sorry. If i get the part changed its no guarantee that i can make it work again and it cost 8500 INR .
Now i get back home connect it to my laptop and it responds to the charging! the light turns on but the screen is still blank. i turn it on and it vibrates but screen is blank tried back+power still black screen
Now is there anyway i can recover the device? is it possible that they (the HTC service center people) forgot to connect the lcd back or something?
Send it back?
A friend of mine, gave me today an HTC Wildfire S, who found laying in the street. Problem is that i can't boot it, even in bootloader (Vol Down + Power) if i try to boot into bootloader only a tiny red light appears on one sensor, and if i try to boot into android, it appears to boot but nothing appears on the screen.
Any Advice?
Is it detected when connected to a PC?

I thought about a lot of things as your post didn't have a lot of info:
1- you aren't aware of battery level, leave it for an hour or two connected to the computer to recharge the battery.
2- do you have hTC Sync 3.0 ? You have to have it so the computer can recognize the phone.
3- putting it to the bootloader mode and nothing appearing on the screen makes me a bit worried.
Let us know how things will go !!!

1 - Full Charged, at least charging light now is green (was orange before, like in other HTC's)
2 - Yes, i also have ADB drivers installed, but nothing appears with cmd "adb devices"
3 - I don't know if is rooted, or has USB debugging on.
Best thing to do is use xtc clip, create gold card etc and flash the Rom.

I've found the problem. Looks like screen backlight is working fine, but no info is coming to it. I know because when i press touch buttons they vibrate, and vol buttons sounds when i press. So, do you know where can i get a cheap LCD screen replacement in EU?
Thx in advance
How about trying to find out who is its real owner and return it to him or her?
Can you feel confortable using something you know it is not yours?

tottaly agreed. just think when you lost yourself your HH..
It would be a nice idea, but my friend found it without SIM or microSD and can't get it work, so if you have any idea about how to find the owner, I'm listening.

After getting an LCD replacement and booting it up properly you could check the accounts & sync settings to see the Google account they used with the phone. That way you can maybe contact them. Contacts are also saved on phone memory, so you could have a look there.
If you did find the owner then you could charge him a little extra for finding and repairing it.
need the solution
I have the exact same problem with my HTC Wildfire S.
So what did you do with that phone?
Hello to all, I read alot on this forum, but decided to register as I believe that there are very intelligent individuals on this forum.
Yesterday I tried the "HTC Function Test Program 1.03g" on my HTC Wildfire (WWE_2.22.405.1). I did this by calling the number: #*#*3424#*#*
I did a "Display Test" which displayed a white screen and dissapeared by pressing the back key. After doing that test I noticed the screen doesn't sleep, in other words the screen remains on with back lighting.
Today my phone paused and I saw a very colorful graphic on the display so I had to reboot / removed battery.
The screen was blank, after trying to remove the battery etc I managed to boot untill enter sim code but right after that the screen went blank again.
Now I have figured out that the phone is running normally, the screen is blank though. After reading in the forums I successfully reinstalled the RUU Ver. (RUU_Buzz_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.22.405.1_Radio_13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10_release_160191_signed)
But still blank screen. My feeling tells me that the display has somehow been disabled. I cannot boot into recovery mode (Volume-down+power on) as the screen is still blank. No matter what I do, screen blank.
The phone seems to still be alive.
Any ideas what I could try? I have done this test on another phone now, and the screen is staying on now, so Im worried if I reboot it, I will end up with blank screen.
Please give me some ideas on what to try I would be very grateful.

alright so about 5 days ago my inspire's battery died I got home charged it over night and I went to turn it on and I got 7 vibrations and stuck at splash screen and I tried wiping and restoreing and such but nothing worked so i figured my motherboard was fried ( emmc) so I took apart my old inspire that had a cracked screen changed the mother board and now I just get a black screen but you can see it has a back light. also it shows up on my pc as "my htc" in device manager. also during the replacement my volume switch kinda got damaged so i dont think that it would work to get me to hboot but it worked on the cracked screen. if any body could give me any insight on this it would be nice
UPDATE: I just looked in my device manager again it says it is using the adb driver so i loaded up adb and ran adb devices and it came back as my serial and then to the right it said recovery but yet the phone still has a black screen does any body know any commands I could you to possibly flash a new rom or something of that nature.
Do 'adb reboot bootloader' and tell me what happens.
