Rosie is the stock launcher.

Hey guys, I just got my desire z, love the.phone but i want to make some adjustments.
First, how can i change the application list to scroll side to side, like the galaxy s or the iphone?
Secondly, how can i remove pages off the main screen? I only want one page.

You could install Touch Wiz. But you'd get no Sense widgets.
How do I go about doing this?

I am also interested if anyone knows of any Sense mods or homescreen replacements that have app drawers like TouchWiz. I hate the vertical scrolling. The paged horizontal scrolling seems much more friendly and quicker.
Search for touchwiz3.apk in desire or nexus forums, it is around somewhere.

I tried out touchwiz.. I like some parts of it but hate others. Thanks though.
ADW Launcher has an option for horizontal scrolling rather than vertical scrolling of the app list. It also allows you to customise the number of homescreens - check that out from the Market. You will, however, be unable to use any of the HTC Sense widgets while you are using ADW.
I'll check it out. I've used it in Cyanogenmod.. I didn't like it then (at all). It seems 'rough'. Maybe it's better since I tried it.
Yeah, adw.launcher does about everything you asked. I used it for a day or two, but I personally prefer LauncherPro, it doesn't offer Horizontal scrolling though.
Hi there,
Is it possible to get the new Sense 2.1 app draw (as show on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zW7Hl_RFvUA) on the Dersire HD? I did a search but couldn't find anything. Or perhaps, does anybody know if it will be included in the gingerbread update instead?
One of the only things I dislike about HTC Sense is the app drawer, I find it too cluttered. This would greatly help un-clutter it!
Thanks,
Alex
New app drawer is in the leaked gingerbread rom. Head over to the development section and look at the screens from the many gingerbread topics that popped up yesterday.

Hello,
considering the rom I use, is there a way to remove the labels of the apps on the "desktop" ? I currently have Messages/Mail/Internet/Music.
Thanks everyone for the trick.
I dont think u can do it with sense, but launcherpro could possibly do it..

press and hold the icon and drag it to the bottom 'Remove' option that appears.
Edit- I am telling about the HTC sense based ROM. Dunno about yours.

That removes the entire shortcut He just wants to remove the labels. No idea if it's possible on Sense though...
It is possible but there's no universal way to do it. You need to modify your rosie.apk to get them removed.
Look for an app called "Desktop VisualizeR" or "Multicon"

There is an app called apk manager, or apk editor...
You can use it on your pc to edit your apps (icon,label,etc...)
It's created by an xda member... Google it!
With this app you can remove labels.

I seem to recall seeing a mod for the default launcher, where you can use up the wasted space at top and bottom of the screen when using widgets, I can not find the post... Anybody know of it or some other mod I could use.
Thanks

Hi.
I'm using a Jelly Bean ROM (which comes with Trebuchet 1.0 as the launcher) and I've set up a "multi-page" Dock. I'd like to have the App Drawer icon appear on each of the Dock's pages, but I can't find how to add the "App Drawer" to the Dock at all. I can't even work out how to manually add the "App Drawer" to the Homescreen (if I could do that, I'd be able to drag it down to the Dock as desired) - whenever I long click on the Homescreen, my only option is to change the Wallpaper.
Is there a way to do this? Many thanks,
Jaime
Weird. I thought I could figure this out, but you are indeed right. There doesn't seem to be a way to add it.
My only suggestion would be to use a better launcher like Nova or Apex. They will allow you to do this as well as give you a lot more control.
