Anyone have Plex working?
Works fine on my Desire but on the SGS2 I get sound but no video.
Same problem here.
Getting a refund until they sort out this issue. Shame there is no AirVideo for Android yet.

Since hockey is upon us.... I am wondering if there is an app similar to the verizon NFL app that can be used worth our EVO'S? I searched but did not find anything. I found a NHL news app for nexus one and some on the market but thats not what im looking for. Was hoping for an app that streams games. I know NHL is very picky when it comes to live streaming but I thought I'd ask...

Since I miss most of September-March due to the kids' hockey, this is much appreciated!
For some reason the app wont load any games...i can watch videos but nothing live. It tells me im blackedout because cant get gps fix, however gps is on and working. I tried to reinstall but same problem..Oh well was worth the try. Anybody able to watch live games?

EDIT: I see its on Versus...which is "televised nationally". My bad on this occasion.

YUP! I was watching the Ottawa/Carolina game on Thursday when I stepped outside at a wake to have a beer!
You have the option of watching the Home or Away broadcast too!

Sometimes it just won't connect for me. But, then again I'm a Devils fan so I think it's for the best that I haven't seen the last few games =/
I usually just have problems connecting in general. I've had a game or two on blackout but usually it will either connect and run just fine or it will sit at the nhl logo and never actually connect regardless how many times I try.

Hey, I was just wondering if the "hacked version" of netflix was released yet, because I saw a post where someone said that they would have it working by Saturday and that it was in private beta. Well, I was just wondering if that person made any progress at all and if was going to be released today. Thanks

I feel the same way. I'm hoping this time the server issues will be gone for good.
Actually now since about 2 pm the forums seem to be back to normal speedwise.
Hey I read about this media player n my friend gave me the link so I thought I'd share. It's called XBMC player... It plays music n movies n has other capabilities... But honestly I use it for videos its alil rough to use but it plays any file type!!! N its smooth as hell

Tested it. Couldn't get it to find any of my full length movies on my sdcard. I think its more for Tablets.

There is a large thread in the android forum about it too. They have some suggestions on how to make it more user friendly, such as switching the theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1772433&highlight=xbmc
It does seem to be meant more for larger screens but it works great on my phone. Very cool!! I look forward to future updates! It's one of a kind for sure with a slick UI.

OP is too funny. XBMC is a media center that has been out for years, and was recently announced they were/are developing it for Android. What you have here is a very early ALPHA apk....which is why most of the functionality doesnt work.

I know that the new Moto-X phone will be "always listening" and Google Now can be activated anytime by voice. However, there is yet to be solid confirmation this will be rolled out to other devices. One reason most devices do not use this is probably the strain it puts on the battery, always having to process audio.
A lot of threads seem to discuss this - how to achieve this task. However, it appears the general consensus is that the battery would drain to quickly.
I'm sorry this didn't really answer your question, maybe in the coming weeks, once people get their hands on the Moto-X, the hardware to implement the hands free Google Now will be studied in an attempt to replicate.
EDIT: I found something! I found an app in the play store called Open Mic+. It is really new and seems to accomplish the task you are talking about. The performance seems to be iffy for now, as its still in beta, and reviewers say it drains battery, but it could be really cool.
There's an app on Google play store called Google Mic +, it's the only one I could find. Works pretty well actually.
