[REQUEST] AccuWeather Galaxy S2 widget - Galaxy S I9000 Themes and Apps

I really love the new AccuWeather widget on the Galaxy S2. I installed some roms and themes with TW4 (only for this widget!) but none of them where fully stable.
So my question is, is it possible to run the AccuWeather S2 widget on - let's say - LaucherPro.
Can someone provide the APK?

I don't think the stock Samsung weather/clock widgets can be installed solely on any other Android devices except for those "Touchwiz ready" official Samsung devices. The reason is that they are sort of apps integrated deeply with Samsung Touchwiz 4.0 laucher as well as Samsung services, which means they require other internal system apps from the Galaxy S II phone to work properly.
Of course I9000 users have tasted some Touchwiz 4.0 love from MOD themes, but the theme itself isn't a universal solution. At least it's not working for my olidie HTC Hero (2.3.4).
I also love LG Optimus Black's stockweather/clock widget (which runs smoothly on many non LG Android smartphones) and the Galaxy S 2 UI layout - by saying so I mean the new accuweather apk, the digital clock timespan, etc. But after searching the web and testing out the stock Galaxy S II weather/clock widgets apk files by myself, all I can say it's a no go.

I've uploaded some photos of the Galaxy S II weather/clock widgets from engadget and [email protected] they look sweet!
The possible solution for those Galaxy S II UI diggers, might be that compose a new GS2 like weather/clock app or make a GS2 style widget for those 3rd party weather apps like "Fancy Widget", "GO Weather". As I could remember, GO Wwather is planning to release HTC like and Meizu M9 like widget panels.
P.S. the stock weather widget from LG Optimus looks really nice on my phone.

They don't rely on touchwiz. If they did then they wouldn't work on other launchers like HTC widgets.

same feelling~

the LG one looks like Goweather

So can anyone post the apk for the samsung galaxy 2 Widgets?

me too im lovin the SGS2 Accu weather widget !!!

No clock
Hi,
I don't have the clock showing up in my acu widget on my S2.
I don't wanna waste 2 big spaces for separate clock & weather...
Does anyone know how to fix this ?

The clock is a seperate widget from the weather widget. "Digital Clock" and "Accuweather.com" are what they are called in the widget menu, I believe.

try with nitrality app

This Accuweather widget is added in to Doctorz V6 Rom but the city search doesn't work.

I'm looking for this "look": http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16199934

What's your favorite Clock Weather Widget?

Hello everyone
Let's share our favorite clock weather widgets.
Mine is Beautiful Widget, what's yours?
Never really seen why these two things always get combined into one widget, just cos HTC did it... what's wrong with 2 separate widgets?
Snowstorm is an excellent weather widget. Small, accurate, skinnable. Free. What more could you want?
For a clock i quite like sony's small digital clock. Minimalist, clear, elegant. Not a big fan of the flip clock thing.
+1 for Snowstorm, excellent weather widget.
As for clock, i use the stock transparent digital clock.
I also use snowstorm its pretty good, as for a clock i just use ClockQ its a basic clock and date with changeable colour and fonts simple but effective for me. : )
Simi Clock, simple and elegant.
I just found one -- couple hours ago.. sense analog clock
Liking that simi clock widget, thanks.
Can we use the weather and clock widget from HTC?

Nope, all of HTC's widgets require their customised version of android with HTC sense. You can't even use them with a custom launcher (e.g. launcherpro) installed on an HTC phone, never mine a non-htc phone.
There are a myriad of lookalike HTC widget clones on the market (one's already been posted to this thread). Personally i think the HTC weather/clock styling is hideous, but that's just me.
Free: aix widget.
Nice overview.
Paid: palmary weather
Amazing graphics, very accurate.
Extra for Dutch people: buienalarm, gives you rain prediction on your location, accurate almost on the minute! Must have for Dutch people.
Time: Simi clock
Customizable and clean.
Sent from my arc or optimus 2x
Fancy widget.
It can squeeze weather, date and day, alarm/battery, clock in 4x1 widget (most only have 4x2 widget for full display)
Simi Clock, it's just perfect!
I'd cast a vote on Go Weather.
thank you guys, I really liked the Simi clock widget
In case anyone missed it there's a calendar widget in the same style as simi clock: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.anod.calendar

that's looking great! Quick question how to switch the wheater/battery icon arround?
Never mind, found it!
simi clock FTW!!!
Fancy Widget is better than Beautiful Widget and SiMi Clock but it really really needs custom dates and times using things like HH:mm and ddd dd/MMM/YY
WeatherWidget is free and pretty cool (with next two days weather)

[Q] Actually a good decent HTC flipclock replica out there?

I really like the HTC flip clock and weather widget.
I've been looking for a long time for a decent replica.
I am using Fancy Widgets 1.3.0 right now and tried Beautiful Widgets, Weather & Toggle widgets, Fancy Widgets (v2 and v3) and many more.
And I tried Beautiful Widgets when it still looked like the HTC clock. Weather doesn't work though.
So do you guys have a suggestion? The app's mentioned above also don't feature the actual 'flipping'. However, this could be ignored.
If you have a suggestion please note:
- App name.
- Version
- Optional Skin
- Instruction to install (if necessary)

Miuis clock is flipping but it does not have the weather I'm afraid
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Weather and widget forecasts. Then go to download skins, one is called HT7. It will replicate the exact look of HTC widgets BUT,
The moon and sun and clouds are different, tapping brings different menu and it does not "flip" but just change time.
good enough if you ask me.

[Index] [Weather widget] Guide of weather & clock widgets

Everybody likes weather & clock widgets, so I was thinking of making a small guide of different weather widgets here on Xperia forum. I hope it will be easier for you now to choose a nice weather widget for your phone.
Enjoy!
You can also post your screenshots of weather widgets here, so people can see and choose which one they like.
Ps. I will add more weather widgets later and pictures of weather main screen, but now I must go to school/college.

Question Samsung One UI

One of the features I like about the latest version of Android 12 is the "Material You". The S22 currently uses One UI v4.1 and I found the following.
None of the Samsung widgets supports colour pallet based colours. Either they have white or black or dark mode support. Also, only Samsung icons support the colour pallet.
For clock, I was able to download Google's Clock and that is supporting the clour pallet. But I couldn't find the Google weather widget and even if I tried getting the weather widget via Google beta it adds only an icon and nothing else. Also I thought the status bar at the top will also change colours and that is also not happening.
I'm wondering if any alternatives are available?
For icons, I can see "Icon Pack Studio" is available but One UI doesn't support it and I have to choose some other launcher which I'm still contemplating.
For widgets, the Kustom widget as of now doesn't support Material You, so as of now only Google Widgets are supported.
For the status bar, I don't have a solution!. I had built a custom status bar using KWGT and used Nova Launcher, but Nova also doesn't support Material You and have to configure the colours manually.
Any solutions anyone?
Use One UI as other launcher are inferior, either in functionality or in battery efficiency or both.
One UI is rock solid stable and a 3rd party launcher is one of the best, sure fired ways to boot loop a stock Samsung
Pick a free Galaxy store theme (the standard high contrast work well), pick a free icon pack, then pick whatever wallpaper you wish. Install the Goodlock family of apps. Modify the status bar as you see fit and the pull down notifications.
Don't forget One handed Operation plus.
Use 3rd party apps like Digi Clock and Energy ring.
