Hello Guys!
Used the Searching Function but didnt find anything useful. If there is something, sorry didn´t found!
I wanted to Flash Android Revolution HD to my DHD and read since yesterday all day here on XDA. Now i wanted to prepare everything but i got a problem.
Mike1986 said in his first post "With 5.1.x ROMs I strongly recommend flashing 12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2 radio" and named the MD5 cheksum for the file.
My problem is that the MD5 checksum doenst match together whit that one he named in his Post. Tried with 2 different programs but getting the same false checksum: 4C51750D2F2EEC8A077732DE232B0ADE
The right one should be: 2DC4CFC01516D71C8D68AC2C5E2FEDA0
Why does i get a false checksum and do i can flash that one with the "false". Its in Mike´s Thread i guess i can.
Please help a new Andoid-noob - Thanks!
Because errors occur in the download. Delete current one and just download it again and re-check.
'do i can flash that one with the "false"' - Yes, if you want to brick your phone. It's there to make sure the download and file are intact.
Without checking the thread myself, a guess could be, that he links to a radio image in a .zip file and then you're checking the MD5 without unzipping the image first?
Yop, that was the trick. I doesn´t unzipped it .
Sorry for the dumb thread but it helped me out.
Thank you all! Btw you´re a very nice community here on XDA.

huh? where abouts on there does it have a link for a download? or tell me how to download it?
Try one of these, which one you use it up to you they are all different and its an individual choice which is best for you:

Try reading this guide 1st:

where is the guide to tell me how to acually flash my phone?
i havent a clue how to flash it!
ahh no ive worked out how to flash it, but it says i need some framework or something to run the program#?
On the PC or phone?
its ok , ive found thre framework now... i didnt read the writing your right, so just downloading that right now..
then the setup should run!
Good luck with the upgrade. Don't worry if it seems to do nothing for quite a while thats normal, don't be tempted to unplug or reboot the device. I'd recomend flashing it with HardSPLV7 1st just in case, see this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722
ok im confused now...
ive read and done everything it said on that guide.. but how do i get black majik onto my mobile?
ok ive got to the bit where it says
The thread concerning this ROM contains the latest info provided by users, testers and the developers (Jasjamming) and I recommend reading through it even if you encounter no problems.
Hopefully you will have carried out the housekeeping and HardSPL steps of this guide before upgrading to Black Majik as the flashing process WILL wipe all data on your device, and by having HardSPL on it you safeguard against a corrupt CID if the process if interrupted.
Firstly download the file and run it.
i click the link to download it and it tells me its not available yet?
black majik is quite and old rom now, I recomend using a newer one. However I assume you have downloaded it to your PC and unzipped it. There should be a file called RUUWrapper.exe which you will need to run. As I said thought I would recomend flashing HardSPLV7 1st, this will help if anything does go wrong upgrading the OS.
Flashing most roms is pretty much the same as another so once you have read the guide for one you shouldbe able to flash any.
Try one of the links I first gave you to download a rom

I'm sorry if this had been mentioned before but I couldn't find anything, and I didn't wanna see people go through the risk of flashing radios if this is the case.. 'this' being ===
I've opened up the first five or six radios on the desire stock radio thread, and all the zips have exactly the same radio.img inside. The MD5 check sums are all the same. Is this actually the case or does MD5 not work on.img files? (I doubt that).
The files also have the same date and are the same size. I guess this means there is no point people flashing radios (or at least the newest five).
So, it seems they have exactly the same radios, just labelled differently. Or am I being extremely thick?
Thanks.
But wouldn't that mean the basband version in settings / about phone shouldn't change at all when u flash the radio
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Very true, maybe md5's only skim the surface then, and small changes aren't picked up? But they all have the same date of modification too.. Somethings definatly a bit strange here.
I've just had a look at the first three and one is 11560kb while one is 11559kb. This seems correct as they're always going to be roughly the same size anyway. As for the .md5 where are you getting the checksum from? I've checked each one and they're all different.
The metadata is different, so that's why the sizes are different... Open all the zips, then md5 all the radio.img's... It's the actual radio.img that's the same in each one!
Hey all,
could anyone with a full copy of..
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.26.401.2_Radio_1.1204.90.13_release_251208_signed
please post up the MD5 for it? The host for the shipped rom copy was so unreliable last night I want to check it's not corrupt / tarnished. I'm trying to debrand my UK voda One X and don't want to try with a hosed firmware installer. (not sure it will even work yet as various threads are saying it's not possible to change the CID yet?)
Thanks!
Hi all,
Last week, I decided to flash a custom ROM to my 2 year old Desire HD. I used the hack kit (AAHK) and flashed Jellytime R30. Everything is great... except for the non-existent GPS.
After looking around, I've managed to tracked the issue down to an incompatible/outdated radio on my device (code.google.com/p/jellytime/issues/detail?id=223). My current baseband version is 12.56.60.25U_26.10.04.03_M.
According to the ticket, people were able to make the GPS work by flashing a new radio version 12.69.60.29_26.17.14.11_M. To aid me in flashing a new radio, I read a lot and figured out that I would need to do the following steps:
Requirements: S-OFF
- Download the radio file
- Rename it to PD98IMG.zip (this is important!)
- Move the file to your SD-card root (not in any folder)
- Download MD5 Checksum Checker
- Make sure that the MD5 provided with the download link matches with your downloaded file!
^ If not performed, you might risk bricking your device!
- If they match, you are ready to go! Power off your device.
- Hold the volume-down and powerbutton simultaneously
^ This will boot you into Fastboot/Bootloader
- You should see a screen with options
- Navigate to Bootloader (if not already in it) and press the powerbutton
- Wait for the flashing process to begin (it does automatically!).
- Reboot your phone and you are done!
So here are my questions:
1. Is the steps I've laid out above correct?
2. Will radio version 12.69.60.29_26.17.14.11_M work for my device? It's HTC Desire HD bought in the Philippines on May 2010. (According to the thread, this radio version was taken from an Inspire device)
3. Will this radio work in the Philippines? (I've read that radios are "region" specific. If they are, where can I download a radio for our region?)
4. According to a user (forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33556153&postcount=4), "flash ENG S-OFF and your device was shipped with Gingerbread you will mess your bootloader and radio won't be the main concern then". I'm currently on S-OFF (via AAHK) and my device was shipped with Froyo (I think). Will this be a problem? (I don't understand what he is saying).
That's all. Thank you in advance.
Hey =)
The steps you've outlined are correct so you shouldn't brick your device (fingers crossed).
As for the Radio version it should work, a quick Google should help you
If not, head over to The Ace Think Tank, they'll help you out

Do I have to rename the zip file I have downloaded or the img file itself?

only the zip file, and make sure the md5 sum is matched before flashing..
Hey man, thanks for this! Filipino dhd user here too. )
I deleted the OS on this HTC one m8 t-mobile. yikes.
I am trying to install a Google play edition for lollipop or marshmallow using twrp recovery via micro sd.
I got the zip roms. from htc dev and graffixnyc
some of the names of them are m8stockui-3.4.0-g62722b . zip and RUU-HTC_One_M8_GPE_5.0.1-3.11.1700.5.
Every time I try to Install one it shows up this
Checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found
Could not find 'META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary' in the zip file. Error installing zip file ' / external_sd/m8stockui-3.4.0-g62722b .zip
I think it has something to do with the Zip files but I don't know how to get it right or where to get the right rom.
The device is bootloader unlocked, S-ON and says OS-4.20.531.5
Any help would be appreciated.

If I were you I would probably start with this thread in the t-mobile forum general section.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-htc-one-m8/general/download-t-mobile-htc-one-m8-t3331664
I no longer have t-mobile, I'm on Verizon now.
Be sure that you have the latest firmware for marshmallow. Then be sure you have the latest twrp recovery and super 'su'. The t-mobile forum is not very active so I would search the regular m8 forum under Android development for ROMs that support t-mobile. Since t-mobile is a GSM carrier you should be able to find something.
If you are s-on you will need to get the sunshine apk (do a Google Search) from 'the root ninja' so you can s-off, there may still be other ways but that is the easiest. You may even be able to find some YouTube videos.
From what I have seen about people "converting" there phone to a Google Play Edition, it is a pain and there are several steps to it. And if you want to convert it back to a sense ROM you may also need to make some changes to switch back, the partitions may not be the same but I don't remember.
There is always cm13 and other aosp based ROM's. CM13 is a good place to start off you just want to try out some roms, it is small, fast and updated regularly. And there are plenty of other ROM's to play with that are easier to flash.
Wish I could be more help but it's been a while since I've had a t-mobile phone.
Also check out this thread, post #4 explains things better.

Good luck.
Thanks I managed to get CM to run
