I have done hours of research on cases for the xoom to try to find the one that best fits my needs.
The needs are simple,
1. It has to be well protected in my backpack so the device wont get damaged and the screen wont break
2. Have the perfect angle for typing on the screen so writing up papers and emails on the spot are a breeze
I am not interested in buying the wireless keyboard unless typing on the screen isn't easy and efficient.
The only thing I could find that looks very good is the rooCASE but I am unsure if it will have a great angle for typing on the screen.
I have tried to search the fourms and could not find anything on the subject.
Your input would be greatly appreciated!
definitely do not get the official folio case sucks returned it
The best typing angles are on standard cases such as the zoogue which is a wonderful multipurpose case and is just outstanding please watch the battle video. Now the case it went up against or cases of that design have great typing angles and are easy to open and close. But overall the zoogue is the clear winner

OtterBox Utility Series Latch
How cool is this! Now if they would get a move on the defender case I'll be happy.
Whether you use your tablet for data collection in the field, for maps while flying, for entertaining kids in the car or are looking for other ways to keep your device on hand while you work, the OtterBox Utility Series Latch is the only accessory you need. This accessory can be used with or without a case, and works with the Apple iPad, Apple iPad 2 and Motorola XOOM.

I think the otterbox is pretty good for this. Also if your loafing around at home you can leave off the screen cover\stand side of it. Better than working around the front flap of a folio case IMO

still cant find a decent hardcover for the screen
I pre-ordered the Otterbox case from CellularAccessory.com and used the code take5 to get free standard US Mail shipping. The best deal I could find for the Xoom Otterbox. Won't know until it is in my hands.
The Otterbox case looks like a beast that might not be perfect for everyday, but I have a trip coming up that for which I think the Otterbox will be the best match.

This is how the body glove case fits the captivate, sorry the screen is a little dirty but this is the best fitting case i have seen.

a lot of rave about this case and i must agree. minimalistic cases that don't add a lot of bulk are the way to go!
i'm definitely ordering one when i get mine. thanks for the pics. i can clearly see how high it raises in the front.
have you had any issue with the case scratching the back of your phone? or if it decreases signal/GPS? (see this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=764406)
This case fits perfectly. I haven't noticed any difference with gps either, it wasnt working before the case and still isnt working. As for the case scratching the phone, I dont think that will happen because the case isnt hard enough to scratch and I still have the plastic on the back of my phone.

i have this case and it does fit well, i'm not a fan of the back, but alas this is really all we've got right now. i also noticed that i have scratches on the front bezel near the top and bottom of the phone. i think maybe dust or debris get trapped there and just start to rub. i dont think there is a way to fix it though. i had the same issue with cases and the metal bezel on my iphone.
What is this case made from, and how does it feel? Just curious

I think most people have found them at AT&T Stores, though they can be found online if you search hard enough.
See: hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=761355
I picked up a body glove from Best Buy. I waited until they unboxed them and tied it before I went and checked out. Great fit, flexible but thick and offers decent protection. Not what you would get from a hard case, but one of the better gloves I have tried. 24 plus tax.
This is the case I am using until Otterbox releases something I like better. I am not too sure I need an otterbox but I have no issues with this case (body glove)
It fits just fine and offers enough protection for my needs.
I picked up the gel case from samsung's website that says galaxy s on the back, it is pricy at 30 bucks but it fits and looks awesome and has actual raised buttons which is great,i had an all black one but this is a sweet phone and I want it to look sweet, if you spent 200 or more to get a sweet phone spend 30 bucks and get the nicest case made that looks awesome as well, ya know what maybe it was 20 bucks can't remember

Anyone know if there's a case with a kickstand? Or if not, will be released soon?
I saw on at the t mobile store.
Sent from my T-Mobile My Touch 4G.
I know about the clear one, any chance of any color ones yet?
Just the black and chrome one that appears to be a rebranded Body Glove case. The belt clip doubles as a kick stand.
Yep there is a clear case with kick stand

i got the clear case with kickstand i like it but when im plugged in its wobbles
plugged in what? charger or earphones?
I have the clear kickstand case, it only wobbles because the data cable is not flexible, it retains its form. Other than that, it is a good design.
try put this on ebay HTC MYTOUCH 4G HD BG OEM CASE LCD SCREEN PROTECTOR
http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_np...YTOUCH+4G+HD+BG+OEM+CASE+LCD+SCREEN+PROTECTOR
it is the case with stand.
can someone show me a link to the case that has the kickstand? i want one but i wanna see what the mytouch 4g looks like with one on. i would like the clear one if it doesnt look bulky on the phone. thanks

Any T-Mobile corporate store.. We have tons of em.
Do you mind if I ask how much the kickstand is case going for? T-Mobile's website isn't exactly being forthcoming on the accessory front!
i believe it's like 30-35 bucks
dual-use for the kickstand case
For the clear case with the kickstand (linked above)--the way the kickstand pulls out (to form a triangle with the back of the phone as one of the sides) lets you slip one finger through it to help with one-handed operation of the phone. Also makes it easier to hold for ebooks and long-session reading/viewing. It was kind of pricey at $30 but for that added convenience I consider it worth it.
It's also worth noting that this case was super-tight on day 1, to the point I was afraid I would break it getting it on and off the phone--or, worse, scratch the phone--but neither of those things happened and now it comes on/off fine while still holding the phone securely.

just keep checking for scratches. i stop being a fan of their clear case protectors with kickstands because they ended up scratching the back of my hd2 and vibrant over the long run.

I'm sure there are plenty other others just like me who had a Nexus One and loved the pouch that it came with. Unfortunately, my Galaxy Nexus didn't come with such a pouch I wasn't able to find anything comparable to it that I liked. So I decided to hit up Etsy and see if someone there would be able to create something for me and came across this: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Pamperedpaparazzi.
I asked the owner if she wouldn't mind making me a custom pouch for my GN and after a couple of tries she came up with these:
http://imgur.com/z1IdI,1859p,TMovx,Ejdf6
The first two pics are of the three different colors pouches I picked, the third pic is my GN in the pouch, and the fourth is my GN in the pouch suspended in the air to show you that it doesn't slip out. The nice part is that while the pouch has a good grip on the phone it doesn't press the volume or power buttons. I've been using them for over a month now and while it's not exactly like the Nexus One pouch it's damn close and they seem like they'll stand the test of time well enough (just like my N1 pouch did). If any of you are still looking for soft pouches for your GN I'd highly recommend shooting her a message.
They look very nice. Not that I'm hacking your thread but let me share my pouch for my Gnex as well

Maybe its just me but the cut quality in those pouches dont look so great. They look pretty rough around the corners.

They are a little bit rough around the corners. You can definitely see the scissor cut or whatever but they're quite solid despite that. I'm pretty damn picky and, even with it's small flaws, I honestly really really love the pouch
Hi guys,
Posting a review this time for the Noreve Samsung Galaxy Nexus case. As anyone who's read my reviews before knows, I love my Noreve cases, and I really love my Gnex too, so this is a match made in heaven for me.
This is my 3rd Noreve case now (along with the N7 and N4 cases) and as always, Noreve do not disappoint. It's always good to see a company with consistency, quality control and a dedication to excellence. All three of my cases were packaged impeccably, and with the exception of my Nexus 7 case (which was a custom order) arrived lighting fast. The customer service at Noreve is second to none, but I doubt you'll have to deal with them.
Noreve offer a whole bunch of different finishes and tons of colours for their cases, which can be seen here. This is the first case I've gone for which is just the standard black finish, and I have to say I love it. Not too flashy, and brilliant in it's simplicity.
Here are some pictures of the box and contents.

And here is a picture of the belt clip which comes with the case.
While I am not personally a belt clip kinda guy, I tried it out just for the sake of seeing how well it was engineered. Installation of the clip is quick and easy, but my personal preference is that the case looks and feels better without the clip on the back. Still, it's good to have the option for sure, and it's even better knowing that it works well.
Here are some pictures of the case with the phone installed.
One thing to note is that the pogo pins are not covered. They aren't covered in the Nexus 7 case, either. However I can't really see a need for this since it would be impossible to dock while having the case on the device. Noreve should take this into consideration and just cover up the pogo pins from now on. It would be a little bit more protection, and perhaps less dust entering the case. Not that it's a big deal, but just an observation.
Some more shots where you can see the case open with the device inside. Not sure if the stitching will be seen or not, but it is pretty flawless.
And last but not least, some shots of the back of the case with the phone installed,
Actual installation of the case is very simple. Just slide it in from the top and you're good to go. Nice, snug fit. The leather makes it grippy, and also makes it feel fantastic. Sure, it adds a bit of bulk. But remember that bulk = protection. I'd have no fear of dropping this from waist height. The top section that also secures the case closed is also very secure - it's not going to open unless you want it to. And when you want it opened, it's not a hassle.
All in all, another outstanding product from Noreve. They have definitely won me over as a customer by providing me with three outstanding cases. Price you say? This particular case is 50 Euros in this finish. For me, that's not expensive. Remember, you get what you pay for. I've bought cases in the past which I still kick myself for. TPU cases, never again. Otterbox? Nope. Been there, done that. Failed on me in less than a year. I don't see how anyone can actually destroy a Noreve case, unless you set fire to it. And guess what? Since it's genuine leather, it won't even burn so easily, unless you really set your mind to it..
In conclusion, another outstanding case by Noreve. Their quality and customer service, to me, has yet to be matched by anyone.
Thank you for reading! :highfive:
Hey guys,
I just received my MoKo case from Amazon and so far I am very happy with it. If you are considering purchasing this cover I do recommend it. Here is what I think so far. The texture to the cover has a very soft leather, almost microfiber feel over leather, but still a soft leather feel. I am telling you, it feels amazing. For as cheap as this case is, it does what it needs to, protects the case, lets you tilt it in landscape and lay it down upside down for an almost flat but more like 30 degree angle type view if looking down at it. It does not do a rotation portrait view if that is what your looking for. The faint white stitching around the case is a very welcomed and handsome look to the case which goes well together with the GN 10.1 2014 rear fake stitching as well. It fits snug, does not slide around, and protects the case very well. For this price, and it being available right now, I recommend it as my other cases I have ordered are not shipping until first week to last week of November. The magnets are strong too if anyone was wondering. The wake/sleep feature does work every time, no issues. I have heard talk about the magnets causing issues with the digitizer but it seems to be rumor and unconfirmed. So for now, I am happy with this. Hope this helps.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DE8RRYC/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
+1 I just got this case and I'm surprised at the quality for such a low price. I'll be getting another one in a different color when available
Glad you like this case, but a lot of us think the leather covering the bezel makes it look cheap. After a few days, you might find your tab starting to sag in cases of this style.

Doesn't that case cover the S-Pen slot in the picture? Granted the pictues might be of a Tab 3, but still. They also call the tablet N8200, which isn't a number I've ever seen in relation to the Note 10.1 '14.

It does in the picture, it also is missing the SD card slot, so I'm assuming it's a bad photoshop job. I've ordered the case, and will report back once I get it.
Well I do think those look slightly better but so far I really don't mind it and the extra protection makes me feel a whole lot better than I would have on those others
I did purchase the poetic you listed and 2 others awaiting to be available. I will use all of the cases for different purposes.
I looked at both of those cases too. Ultimately I went with the cheaper one because, for some reason, Amazon had it for $0.01 (including Prime delivery). I'll take cheaper looking for a penny.

Any chance you could post a short review of each ? Pros & cons, experiences etc
