Hi guys,
Posting a review this time for the Noreve Samsung Galaxy Nexus case. As anyone who's read my reviews before knows, I love my Noreve cases, and I really love my Gnex too, so this is a match made in heaven for me.
This is my 3rd Noreve case now (along with the N7 and N4 cases) and as always, Noreve do not disappoint. It's always good to see a company with consistency, quality control and a dedication to excellence. All three of my cases were packaged impeccably, and with the exception of my Nexus 7 case (which was a custom order) arrived lighting fast. The customer service at Noreve is second to none, but I doubt you'll have to deal with them.
Noreve offer a whole bunch of different finishes and tons of colours for their cases, which can be seen here. This is the first case I've gone for which is just the standard black finish, and I have to say I love it. Not too flashy, and brilliant in it's simplicity.
Here are some pictures of the box and contents.

And here is a picture of the belt clip which comes with the case.
While I am not personally a belt clip kinda guy, I tried it out just for the sake of seeing how well it was engineered. Installation of the clip is quick and easy, but my personal preference is that the case looks and feels better without the clip on the back. Still, it's good to have the option for sure, and it's even better knowing that it works well.
Here are some pictures of the case with the phone installed.
One thing to note is that the pogo pins are not covered. They aren't covered in the Nexus 7 case, either. However I can't really see a need for this since it would be impossible to dock while having the case on the device. Noreve should take this into consideration and just cover up the pogo pins from now on. It would be a little bit more protection, and perhaps less dust entering the case. Not that it's a big deal, but just an observation.
Some more shots where you can see the case open with the device inside. Not sure if the stitching will be seen or not, but it is pretty flawless.
And last but not least, some shots of the back of the case with the phone installed,
Actual installation of the case is very simple. Just slide it in from the top and you're good to go. Nice, snug fit. The leather makes it grippy, and also makes it feel fantastic. Sure, it adds a bit of bulk. But remember that bulk = protection. I'd have no fear of dropping this from waist height. The top section that also secures the case closed is also very secure - it's not going to open unless you want it to. And when you want it opened, it's not a hassle.
All in all, another outstanding product from Noreve. They have definitely won me over as a customer by providing me with three outstanding cases. Price you say? This particular case is 50 Euros in this finish. For me, that's not expensive. Remember, you get what you pay for. I've bought cases in the past which I still kick myself for. TPU cases, never again. Otterbox? Nope. Been there, done that. Failed on me in less than a year. I don't see how anyone can actually destroy a Noreve case, unless you set fire to it. And guess what? Since it's genuine leather, it won't even burn so easily, unless you really set your mind to it..
In conclusion, another outstanding case by Noreve. Their quality and customer service, to me, has yet to be matched by anyone.
Thank you for reading! :highfive:

After having the case for about three weeks, I think it is time for me to write a crappy little review of my experience with the Incipio Clear Hard Case.
First of all, I had many different smart phones and purchased all clear hard cases for it. So my experience with clear cases are above average, I would say.
Fitment
The case fitment is a 5/10. If anyone ever owned an agent 18 case for an iPhone, you would probably know how well that case fit. The case fitment was great, at first. I was a little too excited with the phone to realize the important imperfections of the case. This like many other cases is a slip on case, where the first imperfection is. I don't know if its the polycarbonate material but when the case is first slipped on, it will be scratched. This was something I expected from a slip on case. There is a small gap from the slip on joints. The left side of the case doesn't sit flush with the top of the case. (I will post detailed pictures later on) and the right side has a small gap. The small gap on the right side would make the case get loose over time. The biggest issue with the fitment is that the case is not a snug fitment. The fitment is very tight scratching the top of my phone when it was being installed and uninstalled. If you don't want your captivate scratched up on the top, don't even look into this case.
Quality
Quality is a 1/10. I had the phone for about a week before purchasing this case. Even with normal usage, the phone itself was never scratched. As for the case, it has scratches all over. Does this mean the case protected the phone well? Probably not. It just shows the build quality on this case is total crap.
Price
Price is a 1/10. I believe this case is way over priced for its craptistic build quality. The case clearly has fitment issues. Do I recommend this case to anyone else? Nope. Like most of the Captivate owners, I would recommend the body glove case or probably the Samsung Original cases.

That's why I didn't buy either case that the store had for sale. 30 bucks for what seemed like a decent hard case (which I later learned on this board is crap) was too much. Same for a 25 dollar silicone skin. No thanks, I'll just treat the phone gingerly until there are more options.
I bought the Clear Case first and was completely dissatisfied with it so I went back and exchanged it for the black case which I am in love with.
#1 problem with clear plastic cases of any kind is simply pocket lint... After a few weeks it'll look like crap and need to be cleaned whereas you can't see it on black cases.
I agree with this review 100%. The case is poor quality. I took it back the next day and went without one. I got the body glove from work for $3 with my discount, so i'm loving that, and I bought a red hard case off of ebay for $8 with free shipping.
It came from California to Texas in about 3 days. Plenty of options out there, including ebay, and daydeal.com (which i've been going there for a good while now.) But at the price of the incipio, definitely not worth it.
Hey guys,
I just received my MoKo case from Amazon and so far I am very happy with it. If you are considering purchasing this cover I do recommend it. Here is what I think so far. The texture to the cover has a very soft leather, almost microfiber feel over leather, but still a soft leather feel. I am telling you, it feels amazing. For as cheap as this case is, it does what it needs to, protects the case, lets you tilt it in landscape and lay it down upside down for an almost flat but more like 30 degree angle type view if looking down at it. It does not do a rotation portrait view if that is what your looking for. The faint white stitching around the case is a very welcomed and handsome look to the case which goes well together with the GN 10.1 2014 rear fake stitching as well. It fits snug, does not slide around, and protects the case very well. For this price, and it being available right now, I recommend it as my other cases I have ordered are not shipping until first week to last week of November. The magnets are strong too if anyone was wondering. The wake/sleep feature does work every time, no issues. I have heard talk about the magnets causing issues with the digitizer but it seems to be rumor and unconfirmed. So for now, I am happy with this. Hope this helps.

+1 I just got this case and I'm surprised at the quality for such a low price. I'll be getting another one in a different color when available
Glad you like this case, but a lot of us think the leather covering the bezel makes it look cheap. After a few days, you might find your tab starting to sag in cases of this style.

Doesn't the second one (also a Moko) look much better?

Doesn't that case cover the S-Pen slot in the picture? Granted the pictues might be of a Tab 3, but still. They also call the tablet N8200, which isn't a number I've ever seen in relation to the Note 10.1 '14.

It does in the picture, it also is missing the SD card slot, so I'm assuming it's a bad photoshop job. I've ordered the case, and will report back once I get it.
Well I do think those look slightly better but so far I really don't mind it and the extra protection makes me feel a whole lot better than I would have on those others
I did purchase the poetic you listed and 2 others awaiting to be available. I will use all of the cases for different purposes.
I looked at both of those cases too. Ultimately I went with the cheaper one because, for some reason, Amazon had it for $0.01 (including Prime delivery). I'll take cheaper looking for a penny.

Any chance you could post a short review of each ? Pros & cons, experiences etc
Hi XDA,
Time for another case review, again courtesy of the lovely people over at Noreve. In total this will be my 9th Noreve case review, so I am pretty familiar with their quality and style by now.
Noreve are known for their high quality leather cases, and what's even better is that they come with a ton of customization options a lot of other companies simply do not offer, especially with genuine leather.
As always, the case comes in a very nice box :
{

}
And once you open the box, you are greeted with a very handsome, velvety cloth pouch, to protect the case. Inside that of course is the case itself. I have always loved this touch and attention to detail from Noreve.
Once out of the pouch, you are greeted with that unmistakable smell of premium, genuine leather. This is what the case looks like :
And here is a shot just below installation, side by side with the Nexus 5 :
Installation is very simple, it just snaps into place very easily. However it's also very secure, I've never had one of these cases where the grip failed the phone and accidentally came off. In fact, a friend of mine dropped his Galaxy S3 while he was riding on his motorcycle and the case was still gripping the phone tightly. The case got a few scruffs, but the phone was unharmed.
Here is the case in it's open state, where you can see the Noreve branding on the inside. The case also has a magnetic closure which is very nice and works well :
Here are a few shots of the sides. There are easy access to all the ports and buttons, such as the volume rocker, power button, micro USB connector and headphone jack.
Here is a shot of the back of the case. The camera cutout is perfect.
And finally, a casual picture with the Nexus 5 installed and ready for action.
My one gripe about the case is that the LED indicator cutout is not aligned perfectly with the LED, it's a bit off. Noreve should look out for things like this in the future and make sure it's exact, as I'm sure a lot of people (including myself) care about small details such as this.
Overall, I am very pleased with the case. It provides great protection against just about anything, and it just looks fantastic. For those of you who are sick of cheap plastic cases which feel like, well, cheap plastic, then this may be a good alternative. There is just something about leather that makes me keep coming back to Noreve, and they never disappoint.
The cases are a bit on the expensive side. This one in particular retails for 46 Euros, and prices vary depending on which finish and stitching options you order one with. They offer free worldwide shipping with DHL though, so that's a major plus. I got my case in about 3 days, which is excellent.
All in all, I would say that it's well worth the money as you get what you pay for.
Here is a link to their product page for those of you who are interested. If anyone has any suggestions or feedback, just let me know and I will be happy to direct them to the Noreve team.
Also, Noreve is looking for people to review the cases they will be making for the Galaxy S5 and Sony Z2 once they are released. If any of you would be interested in reviewing those cases, just send me a private message and I will hook you up.
Cheers.
I wish they would have spent more money in the case instead of the box it came in. My thoughts after getting it.. The plastic is very flimsy and cheap and the fit is NOT snug. The case feels very slippery and loose like your either going to drop it because you cannot grip it or eventually it will slide out of the case. I'm very happy with the phone but the clear case is far from good.
My thoughts exactly for the Official OnePlus One Protective Case...which is the same as Clear Case.
See my post in the other topic.
Mine fits well but I completely agree about the not so sure grip of it.
I really love this clear case! Mine fits perfectly. No wiggle room at all. I guess I'm used to the grip as well.

I'm not a fan of the official case because it doesn't provide any protection, but I haven't experienced issues with the fit or cracking. I remember reading a post by an OPO rep on the OP forums in which he said that delays in restocking their cases were the result of further QC implementation. I'm not saying that's definitely the reason yours fell apart and mine didn't (in the two weeks I used it before receiving a Diztronic case), but I am saying that it might be.
Many other people have reported the same issue as you, so it's clear that it affected a number of people.
I own the orange official case because the clear wasn't available, so that might be a factor in which batches ours came from as well.
At this point, people shouldn't have to rely on the official cases now that the Diztronic and the Tudia are both available. Seidio is considering putting out cases for the OPO as well; you can request the Seidio case you'd prefer on their Product Request page.
I'm sure at some point in the near future we will have more choices on lots of covers. I hope we will see 3rd party custom style swap back covers too. I think I will hold off till then.
The official cases for the One look very similar to what Oppo was shipping for the Find 5's back when I got one. They also cracked at the corners and were flimsy as hell and overpriced. I'd say they just took what Oppo was doing and thought why fix what isn't broken (ie people buy them anyway)
Go with the Pelosi case. Can't go wrong with it.
Sent From My 1+1
I haven't noticed any indications of 'weak spots' in the polycarbonate (where it might break) and the case fits around my OnePlus One just fine, contrary to other's experiences with this case.
As for the feel of it: it's very smooth yet not slippery at all (again, contrary to other's findings).
As you can see, it is a bit scratched up because of it being moved around on a table and/or putting it in my bag, but I think that's okay. It kind of indicates it's being used and adds a bit of character.

Does it have a lip to raise the screen off a table etc? Like the diztronic?
It does, but it's not that large. Note that I also have a tempered glass screen protector installed so the glass actually sits on top now.
I ordered a case from Otterbox after a chat session. They told me it would fit this newer version of the Razr. Well guess what..... it didn't fit. Trying to find a case for this phone is impossible. Motorola has as very expensive leather one on their website but its not available to buy anyplace. Anyone find a case for this phone?
I just got the phone myself over 36 hours ago. Give Spigen time to come up with a case
No skins either. Accessory market as quiet as this community...
CaseMate Tough Clear
I didn't want to wait to use my Razr 5G without a case, so I ordered this one for now...

I tried to order that clear case, but it said it would take about a month to get, so I went with the casemate case that T-Mobile is selling direct from their website and got it in 2 days.
I ordered one of the leather cases that come up on amazon(not pouch), the casemate from t-mo, and the evutec s-series. All ordered on thursday 10/15 so far amazon says its getting shipped, tmo has bee completely silent, and evutec has a tracking link which makes me nervous considering the site said its a pre order... will update with whichever one shows up and when.
Downshift mind adding pics of phone in the case?
How's the Case-Mate fitting for everyone? I got a black one from T-Mobile and it comes off half the time I open my phone.
same here...

I ended up getting the CASE-Mate clear one direct from Case-Mate, and have the same problem. I contacted Case-Mate about it, they asked me to email them a picture of the case fitment. They offered a refund or replacement. I took the former.
I find the case to "dense" thick on the phone, more than it needs to be. What I would improve on it, is to thin out the entire case by approximately half, and leave the "impact" prone areas the thickness that is on there now (the nose of the phone).
The part of the case that covers the smaller display relies on the volume control buttons as a source of retention, and the plastic is weak in that area and gives way. I have not used other cases to date to see what other case manufacturers are doing to keep that part of the case in place. *That is the flaw of the front case cover design, and I think Case-Mate knows about this.
The only 'case' I'd be interested in putting on this phone is maybe a rubbery vinyl skin to protect from surface scratches and keep it from sliding off smooth surfaces.
Everything else seems too bulky... Not that there are many options. Nor are there any skin options anyway.
Well, got the evutec case, here's a pic, I'll start a separate thread to fully discuss it, but the basics are probably don't bother it leaves the bottom of the chin completely exposed not just the usb c port/sim slot the whole thing.
Just got the Evutec case. It has double-stick tape to hold the case on. It isn't too bulky, fits nicely, and stays on the phone. Should be a $20 not $60 case.
