Phone Bricked - Defy General

I played with my Defy today, installed Froyo on top of the Eclair stock, didn't like it, tried to install eclair again didn't work. I tried Cyanogen on top of Froyo using 2nd init, went ok, but had some problems in the applications drawer, tried to install Cyanogen again then everything went really bad.
I am now stuck with the Motorola red logo at the startup, can not even open the stock recovery.
What do i do?? Is my phone bricked?
Hady

Well, some days ago i was trying some changes like you, and i messed my phone, and just the M logo was showing, don't even turn off, need to take batt off.
What i do to revive, is to reflash and .sbf file similar from what i have before install the CM7 (i don't using anymore). Reflash with the RSD Lite, in the Bootloader screen (power+vol up).
Now is good again

Can't get into recovery since I flashed latest LeeDroid 1.8b

I had Cyanogen before and I wanted to see what LeeDroid was all about.. flashed it, everything went great. Didn't like it cause Cyanogen is just so different so many more options!
So I decided to revert back to Cyanogen, to a new nightly build. I boot the phone up, goto Recovery and nothing.. it just freezes at the HTC screen. This would happen occasionally with Cyanogen and all I had to do was take the battery out and boot up again and I could get back in. I'm using Clockwork Recovery Mod SLCD.
Now with LeeDroid, I didn't even install any apps or anything, I just didn't like the Sense UI and lack of options. I powered the phone down, selected Recovery and nothing.. HTC screen and doesn't go anywhere.
I went to windows, thought I'd try reflashing using Unrevoked3 and the phone froze at the HTC screen again. I thought I bricked it.. so I took the battery out, and turned the phone on and it booted up.. checked my settings and everything was good. Tried it one more time.. then it got to the Flashing Recovery image.. do not touch your phone.. but then without saying Done or anything, the phone booted up into LeeDroid. That wasn't supposed to happen.
What the hell is going on? Now I'm scared that I might have corrupted the recovery image, my phones up and running, but I don't want to reboot it or anything in fear that it may get bricked
Have you tried to launch a recovery using fake flash?
No idea what that is.. I'm all new to this
According to this thread.. it won't work with an unrevoked root.

Try using Clockworkmod recovery by installing ROM Manager from the market. I always use that when upgrading or switching to a new rom.
No idea what's happening but I rebooted, and got into recovery.. flashed Open Desire and everything works now.. I think.
I still don't get why sometimes I can't get into Recovery and it just freezes.. does that happen to anyone else?

Ive managed to get it to:

and its given me some options

2ndinit cm7
2nd boot cm7

the recovery option has latest recovery
stable recovery
stock recovery
ive tried several options, but nothing appears to work.
, now i just want ot re-load my back up that i made with clockwork mod of my origanal set up
please someone help, as iom goign out soon, and i need a working device
I've faced a related problem with the custom recovery. The simplest way is to flash an eclair SBF and then upgrade to Froyo. Just flash the 2.34.0 Eclair an than restore your nandroid. I'm not sure what will happen with your personal data, because I just wiped it from the recovery and then used Titanium Backup and MyBackup to roll it back. Good luck!
Ive managed to get the boot menu ( black thing with white text) back, so hopefully theres a chance to re-load the sbf file, and it is recognised by a P.C when in that mode.
However I dont have access to my main p.c at the moment, so it will have to wait, and i will have to make do with my old sony ericsson phone for the time being.
Now im back, and at home, wiht my own P.C ive managed to solve the issue via the boot/flash menu screen.
I pulled hte battery and turned the phone on holding the volume up button, then plugged it into my P.C, where it recognised the phone.
i was then able to flash the nordic SBF file, and it works, again
So i used clockwork mod recovery to check that i could go back if needed and it worked
then oi re-flashed the nordic SBF, re-rooted the phone, installed 2ndinit, and then used the recovery to load cm7.zip.
now all is well, and im running CM7

Stuck at Red Motorola Logo

Ok, so I have a Defy...was on stock software, I rooted it and installed 2ndInit last night and installed MIUI. Everything was going peachy...decided to install 2ndInit again and when I went to reboot it wouldn't get past the Motorola logo. So then I went into stock recovery wiped everything and cache and still stuck.
Is there a way to get back to the stock froyo Blur and start fresh?
Ok so since people are viewing and not replying lol, I tried to download RSD and then the sbf for the T-Mo US 2.2.1 and it detects my phone but I can't click the start button...any ideas?
**Edit...found how to get the start button to work http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1001145&highlight=rsd+start **
**Edit 2...finally got it to boot and back into business..wow that was nerve racking**

[Q] accidentaly bricked my phone? plz help!

So here's the deal..
So I'm no newb when it comes to flashing roms. my Dinc is my 3rd phone with a custo.m ROM. Well what happened is. I flashed to cm9 kangs from cm7 v13. Well after about a week I was sick of the instability and having to install apps twice just got annoying.. soo... I decided to go back to cm7 but I didn't have it on my sd anymore so I pulled it from my comp and flashed through ROMmanager. Well upon booting it got stuck in a bootloop (which is the first time I've encountered this.) So I took out the battery, and I held down both volume and the power button and the phone vibrated 5 times and the LED went from flashing red to green and the screen stayed black. Now I can't boot into recovery.. nothing. Almost thinking its bricked... is there any way to save this phone?
Thanks for any help u can gived.

If you can access hboot its not bricked. You need to do the five vibes fix herehttp://pvillecomp.com/?page_id=33, if you can get to hboot to use fastboot. If you cant access hboot you are out of luck.
well an update. what i did was pulled the battery and held down the power button for 10 seconds, then put in the battery and plugged the charger in. and it forced it back into the bootloop. i was then able to access hboot and try and reinstall. well both cm7 and cm9 both started the bootloop. so i went through and factory reset the phone and formatted the sd. and also wiped the dalvik and cache. also formatted system/data/cache, and reinstalled cm7 and it started force closing EVERYTHING. so i completely wiped the phone and reinstalled cm9 and everythijg worked fine, so i went back to cm7 and now everything is working as before. didnt have to enter code in the terminal emulator blahblah.. just an easy fix for me dont think itll work for most but did here so its worth a try i guess.
