Hello, well I'm trying to install this theme:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1047796
However when I install it through recovery It doesn't install properly. The boot animation, font, lockscreen, status bar icons (bar signal and battery) all change how they are supposed to but if I switch over to my phone dialer I get a hidious bright livid green background which isn't meant to be there and I can't work out why.
What I did:
Downloaded Oceanis v 1.6 and installed zip. I didn't change any of the folders.
Suggestions? Cheers guys.
Also as a side note, would I be correct in saying now that if I make a backup with nandroid I can switch roms freely and just backup to a previous rom when I feel like a change?
I incredibly stupidly never backed up my stock rom and I really want to flash back to it and back it up so that I have a backup to stock incase the phone ever dies on me and needs to go back. Though I realise I'd have to unroot as well before I sent it back.
:EDIT:
dammit wrong forum!
Noone got any ideas?

Hi guys, great community here. I've learned so much already from reading and the knowledge of the community is pretty impressive.
I have run into an issue though. I'm running CM7 and applied a theme via ADW's theme chooser, but I recently switched to LP instead and therefore am not using the theme anymore. I applied the theme's lock screen icons via Metamorph though, and they did not revert back to the stock ones when I switched to LP. Now they don't really flow with everything else and I'd like to change them back, but I'm not really sure how. Unfortunately my Clockwork backup was after I applied the theme or way back when I installed CM7 and I would rather not have to spend the time to set everything back up. Is there a way to get the lock screen icons back at this point without reverting back? I don't exactly know what I'm looking for in terms of files either, so I'm a little lost here.
Thanks!
EDIT: I have now figured this issue out. Did some more research and found that framework-res.apk was where I needed to begin my search and I extracted it from my phone and found the overwritten icons. Simply pulled a fresh CM7 framework-res.apk and pushed it to my phone using ADB. What a great tool! Just figured I'd add this information so that if other people had a similar issue they'd know where to start as it's not exactly clear what to do. Then again, if I'd only made more frequent backups it would've been so much easier, so now I know.
Hey I don't really know how to use adb yet and was hoping there was maybe a .zip for the default lockscreen so you could just apply the default one via metamorph? Hope thats possible. XD
You can just reflash your current rom over the top to get everything back to normal. No need for a special zip.
My current rom wipes everything lool

how do i get the htc flip clock on stock evo rom rooted
Go to add widgets - select the clock widget and slide through them until you get to the flip clock version.
If you're talking about a clock that actually flips, try this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=853832
I've never understood everyone's fascination with a clock that flips... it's not like your going to sit there and watch it, waiting for it to flip with each minute. But hey, whatever you like is what you like, and that's totally cool.
EDIT: You need to be on a deodexed rom for the flip ones to work. If you're completely stock/never flashed a rom, you'll need to flash the deodexed stock rooted rom. Do a backup in recovery before flashing and if you want to save your apps + data, back everything up with Titanium Backup. Then wipe cache, dalvik cache and data, then flash the rom. If you need more detailed instructions do a search, there are plenty of guides floating around.
If you don't want to flash anything, these will not work.
You can also choose another Sense rom - Myn's Warm 2.2 and MikFroyo are good places to start. Remember, if you don't like your new rom you can always restore from your nandroid backup and everything will be like it was... like nothing happened. If you need any help after searching, ask here or send me a pm. Good luck!

I'm hoping someone can help me with my issue. I was also trying to get the flip clock to work on my stock rooted evo 4g. I had backed up all my apps and data with MYbackup and proceeded to flash the flip clock widget ported from the Desire through recovery, it said it had installed. I then rebooted the phone, just to find that there was no clock on my homescreen at all. I went to my widgets to see if i could choose the animated flip clock that i had installed, all that was there was just the one digital clock to choose, nothing else. As of right now, i have no stock clock/weather widget. Could someone please help me get it back. Ps.....I'm very new to android and this flashing/rooting thing. Thanks in advanced!

As I mentioned previously, you need to be on a deodexed rom to flash those flip clocks - the stock rom that comes with the phone out of the box is odexed. Deodexed roms allow for easier theming. Since your rom was not deodexed, it probably just wrote over the working widget with an incompatible version.
My suggestion - go ahead and find a rom you like and flash it. Don't forget to do a nandroid backup first. Wipe cache, dalvik cache, and data. Once you've flashed it, restore your apps & enjoy. You can always go back to stock by restoring your backup, flashing the stock rooted rom (odexed or deodexed, your choice), or Sprint Lovers is pretty close to stock with a couple tweaks.
Oh and read the directions thoroughly when flashing anything. If you flash a radio update, when you reboot you'll see a potentially scary-looking screen. Wait until it throws you back to recovery - that screen is supposed to be there. Mine shows a green down arrow inside a circle pointing at a phone (or something like that) but yours may look different. Do not pull the battery, you'll brick the phone. I'm only telling you this because I've heard of it happening to a few people lately. It's also a good example of why you should read every word of the instructions. If you need anything else, just ask :]

Thanks for the response. I would just like to get back to my stock rom with all apps and data intact, as before i tried to get that flip clock to work. I have no clock right now, i need that. As i stated before, i'm new to this stuff. Can you give me detailed instructions, on what to do? I mean, what is this dalvik thing? I'm sorry for not being in the know. And if you remember, i only used MYbackup. Thanks for everything again!
Hey all, new to the forum here, but im having an issue that i have no idea how to fix; i rooted my HTC desire last night and was successful, but whenever i go to flash a ROM onto my phone via clockworkmod (i have tried many times with different ROM's) the lockscreen of the OS pops up, but i only get the bar at the top with a clock, signal bars and on one OS the data connection indicator as well. The background is there, and it rings and shows missed calls, but there are no icons at all on the screen. Any advice on what to do? I used unrevoked and I'm not sure if i have to install some kind of partition or not, maybe that's affecting it?

Please use normal fonts.
Please describe your setup.
Please describe your SD setup.
Please state which ROM are you trying to flash.
Did you try to install the rom with the ClockworkMod (I guess you have got that one ) and not with the rom manager?
Maybe you have to install the rom again. But before that you have to wipe the device. You can backup it before that procedure.
This is actually kinda ridiculous, so sorry for the fuss, but:
Am on CM7 RC1v2, deblurred Nordic Froyo base, everything worked fine until...
Decided to prep up my lockscreen font so went into system/fonts and friggin idiotically deleted the clocktopia.ttf forgetting to rename the new font to this. Now I'm stuck in a bootloop. All I need is root access from my desktop, but somehow can't get into recovery either. Anybody out there who can help? Trying to avoid a complete wipe, forgot to naindroid and to do a decent titanium backup since I've been in "discovery mode" since 10 days (my first CyanogenMod ). Can't post in the developement section either for obvious reasons...
Thx for any help!
You can run again the update via recover y

uff, thx, worked. Got confused and first booted into the standard system recovery instead of 2nd-init. Followed the steps from the CM7 FAQ for a system update, now everything back to normal...
Still curious though, how do I change the clock font in the lockscreen? Should I just go ahead and rename the new font to clocktopia?
I used rom toolbox to change wifi icon to red and immediately phone started messing up. Now it only boots to samsung word. Anybody know best way to fix?
Should have heeded the little box that popped up recommending a backup.
Reflash the ROM you're on. Go into recovery and simply reflash.
I did do the backup that came up.
Did you nandroid like it suggested?
If so all you can do is boot into your recovery and restore or reflash the ROM. The only way to restore the backup ROM Toolbox made is through that app.
