He's asking for CMW to be re-scripted. Since inherently our port of CMW is poorly made, well so I've been reading so.

You should ask on the indulge forum to see if anyone tried or may know if you can do this, but my guess is no. You can try, it might hurt your phone if you do though.

I would say no because the Kernels are different. Same as the modems. Probably safe goes for /system?

I think k0nane works with it, you can always ask him where the best stuff is.
Best way to find out is trying it for yourself. Nandroid backup and give it a shot if you want a fast answer to your question. You've got nothing to lose.

If it is properly ported...yes but you just can't flash a zip from the vibrant forums there are still major differences in the phones..from a developing point of view.
So long story short NO!
I see... is it hard to port roms? And i know you cant just flash one cause i did it just to see what would happen and all it did was bootloop lol..no biggie though..i always see people asking to port...i wanna learn lol

you mean something like CWM to flash. and the kernels have their own threads in the development section.. unless the devs don't want to release theirs you can always attain it yourself with simple pulls and pushes.
In case you're not familiar with clockworkmod (CWM), here is a generic how to guide. Of course, plenty of other resources on this site also.

Try Kernel Flasher from the market. I think it has all the kernels for our phone.

So you try to hijack a someone's thread for an answer to a separate problem?
As for the OP, you need to be a bit more specific. What errors are you getting, what ROM exactly, what CWM are you using, etc.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
I figured it out... seems that with AOSP there is hidden space that is taken up mysteriously. When I finally had enough room the Android backed up fine. Don't know why there is so much taken space not shown with aosp

I prolly shoulda thought more before i posted. But starting a whole new thread that no one would have responded to anyway would have been better?
And are problems are not that different.

Yes. Much better. Hijacking is against XDA rules. You also would have gotten a better response.
