Ok so before I format everything and install leeroids new rom, 1.3, when it comes out I was wondering how I backup all my apps and the data for each one, and also after that will I need to reapply things like the premade themes.zip from dnd theme's and apps forum and the kernel etc?
The main thing is how do I back up all apps, whats on the sd card and on the phone so I can get it all back on a new rom..?
You can backup apps+data with titanium backup. You cannot appky themes if the framework has changed from versio to version. Will probably end up with a boot loop.

Okay sweet, what do I do in titanium backup to back everything up?
So out of the following what stuff wont work on leeroids 1.3 do you know?
[KERNEL]Buzz OC/UV 1.51Ghz CFS+BFQ+SmartAss+TUN+EXT4+.27 ACE 1.1.4 [15/12/2010]
[FIX] DSP Manager working on sense rom. +Possible fix for bad speaker
[BootAni] Updated BIOS Bootscreen for Desire HD
[MOD/THEME/TUT] Battery Indicator Theme
on titanium you press menu->batch-> backup all user apps. i guess you can use the 3 first, but it highly recommended that you do a nandroid backup first!!!

Alright cool, i'll do both when leeroids new rom comes out. How do I put the backups back onto the phone..? and do the ones on the sd card reinstall to the sd card or?
the same way, menu->batch-> restore all user apps+data. yes all apps install back to where they were retreived from. ext to ext, phone to phone sd to sd

Titanium Backup Alternative
Hi,
I'm looking for an alternative for Titanium Backup Pro.
My Wildie is rooted, and I want to have an App, which only makes what I want.
The Tool should only back up, or recover, what and when I want it.
there should no processes, until i start the app, and when i close the app, there are no processes running of this app.
I don't need to back-Up Apps, but to back-Up somethingf like wlan passwords.
Please everyone, help me
Hi guys just a quick question..
How do i move apks from previous roms i have stored on my pc and sd card onto new roms i flash???
I have kept setcpu and a few others from miui celebration by backing up and restoring with titanium backup but im looking for a better solution than flashing these roms and backing up with titanium over and over.
I tried to search for help but the search is down atm maybe due to maintenance or something.
all help is appreciated
What i do normally is making a backup with MyBackupPro.
Then flash a new rom.
Install MyBackupPro again and restore the data and apk's i need.
Takes less then 10 minutes to restore a lot apk's.
But your SD card needs to be big enough for backup and nandroid backup (just in case......)

I wanted to ask this in the dev forum in Dredz's topic (great topic BTW) but I don't have enough posts so I came here to ask.
I'm on Synergy RC2 on my Evo and I'm down to ~50MB internal memory, can't move anything else over either. I wanted to partition my SD card so I can free up internal memory so my Evo runs more smoothly. I get the jist of the process but what I want to know is what is the best way to preserve my app data and their settings.
I planned on using Titanium Backup as I always have because it'd be a pain in the ass to redo everything but is it even possible to do a smooth restoration of either my apps or app data AFTER the partition? I can probably handle installing apps one by one but the data is very important. Anyone out there have experience with this? Thanks. I apologize in advance since this may have been answered before but using the advance search feature on the forums didn't net me anything concrete. Any other tips on improving internal memory space are also welcome.
I do it all the time. Flash a new ROM and use TB to restore my apps with data.
No probs!
Same here, but i'm transitioning to a partitioned SD card so i wasn't sure if everything would restore properly. Have you done this before?

Try CM9 if bugs don't affect you.
Try Hensemod7. Best rom ever in my opinion
Try Wildchild v3.0 is on the way, no bugs fast and stable, best rom for every day use
Send from my HTC Wildfire S
ROM. Wildchild. v2. 0
Latest cm7.2, dated 17 July runs smooth and stable. Camera and Camcorder work great. Data2SDInstaller compatible. And good battery life.

so you mean its a normal error? is alpha 5 is more stable then 7 ?
also when i was on cm7, i made fat16/32 ext partition and used link2sd software to connect to ext, so do i need to format and remake the partition or the apps will work just fine " after restoring with the help of My backup Pro?? (i have made backup of apk and data)
i do have nandroid backup as well, i haven't restored any nandroid so i suppose it will restore the os (cm7) as well?
Another thing, on cm9 i have installed link2sd and linked to ext parttion, when i install new apps, a notification comes along that it can be moved to sd card, but when i press move to sd, it doesnt move and still takes space from internal phone space.
Thanks for your help
Best ROM for Wildfire S ? Stock ROM or GB 2.3.5 based

Yes. No I dnt think so, im on alpha7.
Ext partition already wiped when you wipe all from CWM. Not sure abt my backup pro, reinstall all apps if it fail
It should be yes.
Dont move to sd but create link.

I don't find any trouble with CM9 Alpha 7(I don't use videos much). It's working fine and a geat speedy ROM.
You really don't need to move the apps to SD Card, Just make links for application, Dalvic-cache and Lib files.
Have you enabled 'Auto Link' option on Link2sd settings? If enabled it won't ask, but will simply link with sd card and install the apps.

Am using WFS Ver 2.3.5 with software ver 2.26.720.3 and sence 2.1.
Can you please let me know how different is WC3 from stock in terms of internal space, performance etc.
As currently WFS is only giving 150 MB of space which is of no use.

It does not delete it. Make as many backups as your sd card can hold.

Copy the backup of ur original software from sd card and put it on ur computer or somewhere safe.
Then even ur sd card packs in u'll still have it
The backups are timestamped, so you won't risk deleting older backups.
