Faria and Bluetooth with AUDI Handsfree carkit

I have installed the Faria ROM on my Hermes and I can tell I am quite happy with it. Only thing I can't get to work is to use my Hermes with my AUDI built in handsfree carkit. I am able to get connected with it and I am also able to do phone calls, only thing is that there is no access to my phonebook, I also have tried to set the bluetooth to allow remot sim access, but still doesn't work. Does anybody know if there is a nweer bluetooth driver out there? Will be happy for any suggestion.
Thanks
Duke
I have Chryslers U-Connect and it accesses my phonebook I put into U-Connect. when connected , I have never been able to access my phonebook from my phone.
@pumpiron, sorry for the silly question, but what is U-connect and where would I get that from?
It comes with Chrysler Products. Check it out...http://www.jeep.com/crossbrand/uconnect/jeep/interface.html
Sorry to bring up this oldie, but I am now having this issue when trying to connect my bluetooth to my Kenwood radio. Downloading is extremely slow. These are the things I used to be able to do before I flash my Hermes with a new WinMo 6.5 ROM:
1. Dial a number through the radio. I now have to dial from the phone.
2. Calls log is not being downloaded. The only thing that shows up is the contacts list.
3. Simultaneous actions. Before the flash I used to be able to dial a number while information was being taken from the phone to the radio. This is no longer the case. I have to wait until info is downloaded before being able to make a call. This also prevents me from answering incoming calls.
Is there anyway to check what version of bluetooth (if any) is on the phone or if there's some type of upgrade?
Appreciate any help.

Use CarPC As BT Voice Gateway

I have a PC computer in my car that I use for many thing and I want to integrate my phone into it by using a Bluetooth voice gateway to play the sound over the speakers in the car and use a mic to talk into. Obviously since this is the Rhodium forum I have a Touch Pro 2 (by Verizon) running OEM ROM. The PC is running XP SP2 with Widcomm bluetooth stack.
Making calls I have no problems. When I'm in range it connects and when I make a call its flawless. The problem is when I get a call. When a call comes in it rings once then answers without me doing anything. And no its not the auto answer feature on a headset (i know that would be the first reply if i didnt say that). The issue is that even though there is a BT link to the PC the voice gateway doesn't connect until in a call. When i make one it connects when i hit send to dial, when i receive a call it connects when it starts to ring and once there is a connection it answers. It would be bad if im driving and someone calls i dont want to talk to or something and it just answers without me knowing.
I tested this theory with my regular BT headset. I had the headset off and I called the phone and once it started ringing i turned on the head set and sure enough it answered.
My question is how do i get it to hold a solid connection all the time like a normal BT headset would? Or make it not answer once a headset is connected?
I tried using the BlueSoleil BT stack also. This one worked ok once everything was connected but every time I came back in range of the PC or turned the PC on I would have to manually connect the voice gateway again.
Thanks for any help!
Edit: oh yea, also I had the same issues with my XV6800 (Titan) and never got it to work right either.
anyone have any ideas on this?
no one on this forum has tried this other than me?

[REQ] VOIP that works!!

Hi, I, plus many others, would like a VOIP solution that works.
I know some say there is a VOIP that is built into many ROMs but I have had about 10 devices, starting with the XDAII that I have never gotten to work here in the USA.
Yes, I have tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950 and the gOD Shaun33 SipConfigTool_2_0_1.CAB and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=574521... And many hours of searching...
I would install SipConfigTool_2_0_1.CAB & WM6VoIP.CAB & even SecondToday.CAB on roms with different Today skins.. (Touch Flow or whatever)...
On all roms, the today plug in "Internet calling" would not show.
I think the verizon and sprint must have sabotaged the possibility of VOIP or something.
I also have read that when people did get it to work, it would not work with their BT headsets and OR would produce sound out of the speakerphone and not the normal speaker.
Here is what I want.
I want the ability to switch between regular cell calls and VOIP.
A simple file edit or GUI like the gOD Shaun33 SipConfigTool_2_0_1.CAB
Can be switched from VOIP over WIFI or VOIP over reg cell data or reg cell phone via a button or a Today plug in..
To be able to use my Blue tooth headset.
Not use a third party app,, just the default - built in phone dialer so the ringing and other stuff.
NOR a third party app that does not slow things down, activate your WIFI.. (like fring) and that wakes your phone up for a call, yet allows it to sleep to save on battery life.
Hell everyone is doing VOIP now days, especially with the Windows based VOIP server that will even run on Windows XP. www.3CX.com .... Its free.. We use it at my business with a laptop or desktop and the 3CX softphone. To make it the best thing ever, we use a BUA-100 Plantronics BT USB device and a www.JAWBONE.com and the quality is the best thing out there and you can answer and hang up by a click on the side of the BT headset, just like your cell phone, so you can keep your hands free and not have to sit by your computer.
Asterisk is another.
Now to put that coolness into a cell phone that would go out over the hi speed wireless or WIFI, THAT would be the FRICKEN COOLEST!
I would pay $150 and I think there is MANY people who will donate money too.

Bluetooth headset voice dialing

Hey i just got a bt head set and when i push the main button it will only redial or end calls i can not get it to activate voice dialing on my x1. I dont think there is anything wrong on my bt head set i think i am missing a setting on my x1? any help
Hi,I had the same issues but after a lot of messing about I managed to get my Plansonic BT H/S working with voice activation. I used the MS voice software and I had to install a bluetooth interface gateway whos name eludes me but I can find it out if neccessary. All the info is on this forum its just spread over lots of different threads, and I found that even then I had to faff about with various setting to get it to put the audio through the H/S and not the speaker,so you can do it, but it has a tendency to just not work when you want it to so I just press buttons on the phone instead. If you want the gateway sw name get back to me.

[Q] Unable to fix echo problem with SIP after researching board

I have a qtek 8310 smartphone brick style nontouchscreen using a updated 6.5 standard, sleuth's voip cab that installs voip and adds internet calling into phone settings, KaiserVOIP to input my sip server details, and a custom cab file that replaces the ipdialplan. I can call out fine, but I get this echo problem that is insane to hear on the receivers end. I can also hear my own echo too.
Now the only audio routing software that actually works on my tornado phone is audioswitch. I am unable to install audioroute. With audioswitch, I can plug in my wired headset which I dont prefer, but when I use it, there is no sound coming out of my mic. I can hear perfectly fine though.
I tried using Fring, without audioswitch, in a test call inside fring's app, I can talk and hear myself fine. But when Im talking to an actual person through SIP, they hear echos. Same thing if I used the windows mobile SIP and called a google voice # and leave a message to test my mic, it actually sounds fine and no echo which is so odd to me.
I went through 100s of threads on the forum, but cant find a solution because a lot of topic hijacking that doesnt have much to do with the SIP mic problem itself. As a frustrated member, that is about to slam dunk my phone into the toilet, I would like to see if anyone be kind of enough to help me out if you have find a solution that works.
I like to use SIP without having to connect my wired headset, and bt headset, just like any other normal phone call.
