After the initial release I was able to play from my could drive via wifi without a hitch. This was on CM7 RC 2 & 3 I believe. Cellular streaming worked about 40% of the time. After a certain amount of buffering a song it would just refuse to continue buffering.
Now I can not get any songs to play from my cloud drive via wifi or cell. Sometimes the songs will buffer completely, usually in a matter of seconds, and then never play. This has been happening on CM 7, 7.0.1 and 7.0.2. I've tried wiping the app data, uninstalling and then reinstalling. Nothing has helped.
I know Amazon has been having issues with their servers lately but as of right now I can successfully play my songs through the cloud web interface on amazon.com. I'm just curious to hear of everyone else's experiment with this.
Thanks, Josh
**Update**
Today's update fixed the complete lack of functioning issue. Still having a problem with streaming from the cloud drive however. The first 15 seconds of the song buffers then my data connection goes "idle" (data icon says 3G). Once the song hits the end of the buffer it just continuously trys to load but my data connection never hops back up to "H".

Having a strange issue. When I stream video, say on Beeb player it works fine then at about 5 mins it just stops dead!! Reload and it works fine for another 5 mins and stops again!
This is on wi-fi with a good connection. no other problems with speed of browsing or updates or on pre saved video.
Any ideas if this is caused by a setting anywhere?
Thanks
so no one else has streaming video cutting out after 5 minutes???
ive just checked on a stream from beeb player and also have this issue, but getting my phone replaced soon anyway...
Streaming fine for me over wifi, try adjusting the settings if you are having problems.
IV just tested mine using the beeb application (rather than the iplayer website)
And it worked fine for 30 mins on wifi

I have a stock HTC Wildfire S that got the ota update to 2.35 er so. Before and after the update I am experiencing Streaming Video/Audio Sync Issues when trying to play video through my browser and the Netflix app. The audio rolls along with no hinderance or interference while the video stops, jumps, glithches or just plays but way out of sync with the audio. I have tryed several different websites to no avail. The craziest thing is, through the Youtube app, all videos play crisp and with no flaws. This is all being done over WiFi and has been tested on several different WiFi connections. On a side note, formated videos that are on my SD card also have no issues. I have the version of flash player for my version of android installed and 30-40mb of open internal storage.
Any idea would help, ty.
Same here. I wonder if overclocking is needed to get Netflix to play decently over WiFi.

Same here, I 'm even trying to get Skype to work. My wives LG Optimus Elite can stream Skype and Netflix video just fine even over a good 3G signal.
Yet on the Wildfire just trying to do audio with Skype wont even work on WiFi.
I am regretting this phone more and more.

Does anyone use the Veetle app here to stream movies and stuff?
What happens for me is the stream will randomly end and when I return to the homescreen when this happens, my WiFi is shown as disconnected. After a second it will connect again, and the whole thing repeats.
I've reinstalled the app to no avail.
Would like to know if other users are experiencing this as well. Thanks!
Just for future reference, I found the solution. I turned off wireless-N on my router. Seems like it doesn't play nice with the N7.
Hi All. I'm seeing a little bit of inconsistencies with my FireTV Box. I wonder if it is randomly dying but I hope not.
1. When I play a RTSP stream on Kodi and or the OPlayer App, the stream stops in about 10 minutes and I have to restart it.
2. When I play movies from the network, the movies stop randomly and I have to resume.
I'm on a wired connection throughout. I wonder whats the issue as I've made about 22 firetv's and the same stream is played on multiple firetv's which I've made with similar configs and those don't stop. Given that those are on different networks.
I know this is a hard one to figure but any guidance or insights would help. I'm on SPMC the latest one. All other builds of firetv's which I've made are on the nightlies of Kodi which had the resume fixed. I have tried the same Kodi nightly and that too stops the stream.
I have a cordless phone on top of the firetv. Does that matter with heat etc? I can't think of anythign else.
no one with this kind of issue? Any help would really be helpful
We have Firestick 4K hooked up to several TVs to use Netflix, HBO, Disney+, and some of those other movie apps, if you know what I mean.
We've been running them for years with zero issues, including IPTV during NFL season.
I thought our internet was acting up because of an issue that appeared about 3 weeks ago. I did all the usual, Cleared Caches, restart devices, hard reboot on devices, changed DNS, etc... Then I switched out our router (Verizon Fios 1 gig), issue still remained.
So the issue is very strange and I'm hoping someone can lead me to a solution.
Suddenly,
Some preview thumbnails will not load on Firestick home screen
A couple of Apps like Disney+ and HBO Max will not load(but Netflix works fine)
SmartTube Apk(no ads) will not load preview thumbnails or videos(but regular YouTube works fine)
My other Movie.TV apks will not load thumbnails or any streams
When I was using WiFi calling on my cell, I kept dropping calls
So we thought it might be a Fire device issue, maybe due to an update but....
My son and my wife both noticed around the same time that the same not loading Thumbnails and videos issues was happening on their Twitter app on their phone while using wi-fi. My son also noticed that a couple other apps like DoorDash wouldn't load either, but all work fine on mobile data.
Other than that internet functions as it should. Our Download and Upload speeds are fine. We can browse websites on our laptops fine. I even just bought tickets on a popular Ticketmaster on sale the other day without issue. My wife and son both work from home remotely, and neither of them have had any daily issues regarding their access for work.
A little more info, when we connect the Fire Devices to our unlimited mobile data via hot spot on our phone, all Firestick and video apps work as they should without issue.
I have been having the same issue. I also have Verizon internet and have also done every possible reset, update or change to the router, with no improvement. For us Paramount Plus, Amazon Music and BET+ are not working, but DirecTV Stream works perfectly. Up until a week or so ago all apps were functioning normally. I'm reaching out to Verizon today, but honestly don't think it has anything to do with the service because all other devices (and we have several) are working properly on the Wi-Fi. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
After some research, I found out the issue.
Verizon(my ISP) is blocking/throttling some streaming apps. We bought a trial for a VPN, used that, and everything worked fine. All issues were resolved.
Thanks for the update!
Just got off the phone with Verizon and they were finally able to fix the issue after I told the rep the Wi-Fi issue was only effected android (Google TV) and android adjacent devices (Amazon Fire TV). He immediately said it was an IPv6 issue, and proceeded to disable the feature. After rebooting the router, all of our devices worked as they had before the issue. He informed me that the feature can be disabled on your own if you log into your router's account via the internet. You can also call Verizon to have them do it.
