Anyone bought it yet? Rooted? Roms work?

I've been playing with mine for a couple of hours. Still contemplating rooting it. I'm trying to figure out if Unrevoked will work with HBOOT 83.
PS: Nice piece of hardware!!

The device is amazing. Now does anyone have any ways to unlock the device? I'm planning to use it on rogers and so far im just playing around with the device.

The only issue now is that it takes 3 business hours and so i'm going have to wait until monday.

Seems that Cellunlock.net is the only site not refunding people's money right away. They should have codes shortly.

Bought a code from them yesterday evening (friday) for my Wildfire (Buzz) and got a working unlock code within 2 hours. And yes, i got the 50% rebate using the mentioned ref code wich made a total of $10.00 . So i can only say i'm pleased since i have to pay $45 in the closest mobile shop that can unlock it for me.

[Q] XTC Clip now or waiting software exploit?

Dears
I am tempted to S-OFF my wildfire S with XTC Clip.
But I am undecided if it is the right thing to do.
Is it worth or a software exploit is upcoming shortly?
If developers will release a software hack then I will wait, otherwise I will risk with the XTC clip..
Is the advantage really worth the risk?

Might as well get the XTC clip, nobody is really focusing on unlocking the wildfire S, dunno why really, alpharev team was then just stopped because of the hardware.

Just buy an XTC PayG off eBay! They're very cheap now with the ongoing "clone" war and became also unlimited use!
I S-OFFed mine today after I received it by mail this morning!

Where'd you read that the PAYG clip is unlimited too now? I have one of those and if there's a chance to upgrade it with unlimited credits I want to know

Version 1.4.5 is released a couple of days ago. When you plug the clip the first time in, in your PC it updates to the latest version, 1.4.5.
Works perfectly here!

Cool, I just updated to that version and indeed it's unlimited. Guess I'll be offering unlocks for free to XDA members in my region...

Beautiful isn't it? Because of some clones of the XTC clip on the market, they decided to drop the price and make the PayG unlimited!

I'm looking to borrow someones XTC clip. I've been looking into buying one, but dont have the spare £30 odd for it ATM...
If there is anyone in the north east of England (pref. county durham) with an XTC clip and wouldnt mind me coming round to sort this damn tied up Wildfire S out I'd greatly appreciate it, might even chuck a couple of beers your way for the trouble

[Q] Reliable XTC-Clip resellers

Hi all!
I'm thinking of buying a XTC-clip to finally get my WFS S-off. The only thing is, is that i'm not sure what the most reliable resellers for the clips are...
I've been looking at several websites that have been written in the most horrible English language I've ever seen and none off them seem particularly reliable.
Than there's also the guys from GSM Hosting that are supposedly selling fakes and than there's Raskal's site at www.xtc.hk that looks like it's been typed up by one of those nigerian princes that only needs your social security number and bank account details to transfer the inheritance of his dead uncle's sister in law that used to own a goat with three legs and met you in the bus that one time..
So to make a long story short.. what would be the best place to buy a xtc clip?

got mine off ebay from x-ziggy-x. came from England (GB) and works fine. Don't know if he has any more. Probably just someone from XDA that was done with it.

I got my clip from these people, very fast and reliable, they only sell genuine XTC Clips.

Got mine from Fone Fun Shop this week and just unlocked my Wildfire S. As some others have mentioned, the main problem seems to be ensuring a good contact between the SIM contacts but that was easy to get around.
I'm happy to unlock for people in exchange for postage and a small donation to cover the time it takes.

XTC Clip in Lancashire, UK?

Is there anyone about in Lancashire or nearby with an XTC clip to unlock my Wildfire S?

there are people on ebay in the uk doing 2 day rentals for £10 free delivery, comes with everything you need

Look for a little independent phone shop or Google your local ones and call them see if they do it.
Should cost about £10 and takes 5 mins.
Loads of these shops all over London and Kent, so im guessing you must have some local.
