[ROM] [20.06]MildWild CM-5.0 Stable-Release - Changes

Hi Everybody,
Everything is fine with MildWild 5.0 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1453287 (no reboot, no bsod, a2sd ok, wifi/3g ok, smooth, only paid apps not tested), so I would ask here for some fine tuning to mildwild from Q&A 'cause I'm a rookie on the forum.
I'm coming from 10 months of MIUI with good behaviour and stability but whom interface was becoming old fashioned, and one two weeks with Sandvold 0.14/0.15 that was good but too heavy when some processes were running in background.
Some issues, then:
- when the screen go off, sometimes the buttons keep on and pressing the center button don't activate (similar behaviour I had in MIUI in 2011)
- when talking, the screen doesn't reactivate immediately when moving it far from face (similar behaviour I had in MIUI in 2011)
- when the telefone is plugged in and the night clock activates (coming from MIUI), the moving clock brights high instead of being shaded (as in MIUI)
- the clock alarm, when the latest minute is 0 it doesn't appear (e.g. 06:00 appears 06:0)
Finally some change requests to mildwild http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4159599:
- the status bar:
- the MAIL icon seems to big compared with others coming from apps (these are resized, the Mail one not)
- the GPS animation isn't so obvious and still too big, especially when compared to the ICS style on the right side
- the DATA icon changes in an erratic way, sometimes the ICS style or the standard or a custom, especially with H (the 3G from ICS is too small in ICS already)
- the advice screen
- while the icons are blue or with, the short key buttons (wifi, bluetooth, gps, sound) are green, they should be blue, like the status bar
- the advice strips could be inverted in color to match the interface (currently black and gray characters on shaded grey-white), should be for ex. white-grey characters on black
- the alarm clock
- the alarm alert is too small and the press buttons should be at least doubled and so the character size for stop and snooze
- the launcher
- when putting an application in the recycle bin from the all application grid, it should be uninstalled (currently it passes to launcher and then to the recycle bin)
- the wave movement of the shadow when moving a 2x2 or more widget is too wide, the movement could be reduced according to size (e.g. no waving for 4x4, less for 3x3 ...)
thank you

[REG] - Kitchen for Stock ROM

Hi,
I would like to get a kitchen (or advanced settings) for the Stock (and close to stock) Roms for following Mods:
- changing the grid of Home and App drawer like in Apex launcher
- scollable wallpaper (on/off)
- change the transparency of the status bar (%)
- change the widget transparency of the Weather (no background), double clock, player-widget (on/off maybe %)
Do you think its possible?
I wouold pay or donate for it ....
I dont like "Backup - Flashing - Issues - Return" - Loops
Where are the mod-coders out there?

(MODULE IS ALSO COMPATIBLE WITH JB 4.3 IF ORIGINALS KK Z3 PORTED APPS (SystemUI.apk | Home.apk) ARE PROPERLY RUNNING)
Due new quick settings buttons added by module, your 4.4.2 SystemUI.apk will need to have three new permissions to work properly. If you prefer not to do it, module will check for missing permissions and also will hide some buttons from Quick Settings selection screen!!
So follow instruction below to add them:
1. Decompile your 4.4.2 SystemUI.apk
2. Edit (with Notepad++) its AndroidManifest.xml
3. By putting red lines you will get something like:

Translations
Here is lastest module version strings to be translated to your local language. Xml file is structured in a way that I hope be kept!
1. Download attached kk_v3.4_english_strings.zip file (thanks @Hüttenkäse)
2. By extracting its contents you will get a strings.xml file
3. Edit it with Notepad++ (preferable)
4. Translate all sentences like e.g. below (see red boxes):
5. Keep spaces!!!
6. When send xml file back to me, inform your location code, e.g.: values-pt-rBR (Brazil), values-ru (Russia) !!
7. Thanks!!

This looks really nice! Won't be able to test it though, since I'm not on stock right now, but options are always great to have. Thank you.

Hey @serajr. Amazing work, as always. It looks amazing. However, I am having some problems. Screenshots of the problems inside the spoiler tags.
They are not big, however they could be adressed (I guess).
First things first, on my Xperia S, running Niaboc79's eXistenZ Ultra 1.3.5 ROM, based on .96, 4.1.2 fw:
The first thing is that icons are not propely shown, be either on app drawer OR home screen. For some reason, though, there is one app that is showing propely (Nova Lancher. I always download it in case there is a problem with Xperia Home).
The second thing is that the power menu isn't propely themed. Text color and icons change accordingly, however the backgroud stays black, when using White theme.
EDIT: Just realized it says 4.2.2+, but if you can add compatiblity for 4.1.2 for Xperia S, I'd love it
The second device to have problems are with the Xperia Tablet Z, currently running stock .577 4.3 fw.
The only problem it has is the non themed Silent/Non-Silent icons. They remain white.I don't know how it looks on other devices running 4.3. If it changes anything, the Tablet Z does NOT have a vibration motor, so there is only silent and non silent modes. No vibrate.
If you need any files or someone to test anything, let me know
By the way, what is your Hangouts email, so I can add you? lol
Oh, and @niaboc79 , also awesome work :good:
The power menu seems to look fine here. The icons are correct color, etc. But may I suggest a feature to hide power off/reboot while in lockscreen?

I can easily create preferences for all power menu actions that will control their visibility while screen locked. What about?

Let´s go bro...
First... I really don´t know what to do to help you!! I´ve never seen that issue before!
Second... If you didn´t faced any fc, it is compatible over 4.1.2. The Light theme choice forces power menu screen to be decorated with "Theme.DeviceDefault.Light", so probably 4.1.2 "Theme.DeviceDefault.Light" style is that way. You can take a look at 4.2.2 same style resource for diffs and mod your own framework.
Third... I think I need to check for tablet mode and hook/replace that action too.
Thank you for feedback... consider, at least third one, for v2 (soon)!

Ok. It wasn't a complain, just a feedback.
One last thing that doesn't affect the usage at all, it is just something that can be improved, or changed to fit the Tablet Z.
As you can see, the power menu says: "Your phone will...". Maybe that could be changed to "Your device will..." or be dependent on the build.prop, and when it detects it is a XTZ (remember that there are some variations. Just let me know if you need anything.)
As I said, this is very minor. Do not put it into your priorities list, though...

Minor issue with the icons on white background, can't seem to get it to black like the words. On existenz v5 unlocked bootloader with doom kernel v20.
Tried switching different themes and reboot but no luck.
Many thanks.

I´m gonna send you a test apk with power menu non-colored silent mode fixed.
Also, I´m gonna take a look at "Your phone will..." message, once the string come from framework, it is not within module. Tabled should have another string, so I need check for tablet mode (just before screen creation) and get proper framework string. Please, send me your decompiled tablet framework string.xml when possible (or its name within file)! Thanks again...

Ok. About the framework, there is currently no deodexed fw from 4.3 for XTZ. I'm going to try it myself. Again, what's your Hangouts email, so we can talk, if needed, if that's not a problem.

@serajr
will you be able to use xposed to inject codes to make the stock launcher as a multi dpi supported launcher?
because im currently using 360DPI,
what about supporting custom grids too?
sorry if im mentioning too much and thanks!
Ok, I'm going to bother you (@Niaboc79 and @serajr ) again, haha:
I had an idea, that could turn to be very good if done correctly.
Do you know with the 4.3 update, that the Navigation Bar is kinda contextual with Sony apps. Basically all Sony apps (except media ones) are themed white, and when they are opened, the naviagation bar and status bar turn grey-ish. That's incredible, IMO, as it complements the whole UI, making them more immersive (maybe it is a preparation for Immersive Mode from 4.4?).
Example: http://mobilenews.omio.com/wp-content/uploads/Omio-Sony-Xperia-Z1-hands-on-pictures-16_thumb.jpg
Well, the idea is to make that something the user can force. Imagine Hangouts or Gmail, or any other light app using that status bar? I don't know a lot, but considering you've made a lot already with this Module, it shouldn't be hard. The code for that change is already within Sony Framework (at least on 4.3), so it shouldn't be relatively hard to do it.
Just need what in the framework calls that change, and with the module, force other user selectable apps to have the same code applied to it. That is the first part. Then, it could be chosen to apply only on navigation bar or status bar only, or both. And then, a code port to older versions (4.2.2 and maybe 4.1.2).
Guys, again, this is only an idea that I got and that, IMO, could be awesome. But I am not demanding anything, neither in hurry for anything

Check Main Settings -> About Phone CyanMobile is build off of platform version 2.3.8
I checked Google's git repository for AOSP, and there's no branch or tag for an Android 2.3.8. There is 2.3.7, but there's no 2.3.8. Looks like CyanMobile's developers are mistaken or made a typo somewhere.
Also, the CyanMobile website says 2.3.7.

Try re-installing it and if you still get stuck at boot animation just pull out the battery and reboot that worked for me and make sure you have gapps installed

Yeah i got it to boot after pulling the battery during the boot animation and wiping the cache. Just one problem, when recieving a call only way i can answer it is setting upnenu key to answer. It does that no matter which style i use. Any ideas?

I got it fixed. I just turned the ring delay off and it works just fine now. I love this rom btw. You did a great job. The customizations are incredible. I love fwd to more work by you. This is just a thought but you should work on a jellybean rom with similar customizations. That would be sweet. Keep up the great work.
I really do like this rom. The mods r excellent. And I really like the 4G mod even tho its still 3G but its still cool. More dev by you would be greatly appreciated and of possible I really would like to see a jellybean ROM with similar mods even a kk ROM that would be awesome. Just want you to know that you work hasn't gone unnoticed and definitely deserves lots of thanks.
The file is no longer available. I'd like to try this.

Sweet man. I look forward to your new build it sounds awesome. Especially the kitkat edition thats awesome. keep up the good work and thanks for all that you do.
just installed the gingerbread version of your new build and its much smoother than the original. cant wait for the other 3 versions to be available. keep up the good work man and thanks.
Hey where can i get the universal installer at? ive tried to google it but no avail.
Really looking forward to this ROM, I'm trying to find one with everything working, no BS.
This one has been pretty impressive so far. Works right out of the box. Some things that people might want to disable, like sound in the boot screen, softkeys, rubik's cube screen saver (hint: it's not in the cyanmobile settings)... But performance is wonderful.
Good luck on future releases!
Also, @duffieldj1, you were asking about mobile service? Seems to be working for me. Status bar says T-CDMA 64. I'm not sure what that means besides the CDMA part, but isn't Verizon's 3G network CDMA anyways?

I swear you are some kind of Android God. Please inform the community, or at least me, whenever you plan to switch to another device so we can all be cute together and have the same device. And so as a community, we can bask in the amazing support you provide. I'd overclock for you any day man. Wish your day is just as awesome as mine; and that your arm gets better
great job as usual
only issue seems to be in settings > display that the home button options (swipe up for google now, hold for menu) are replaced by the recents apps options from the m8
its an easy fix, just wanted to point it out
I have a mod idea, but I don't know if is feasible or not. I am a right handed school principal who gets about 300 emails per day. As such, I often go through my email and delete unnecessary items quickly as I'm walking from one place to another. What is easiest is to simply check the boxes with my thumb as I'm walking, however, that box is all the way on the other side of the screen. Is there any way at all to flip it so that the little box that I can check next to the email in the HTC email app is on the right hand side of the screen instead of the left hand side of the screen?

Forgot to deal with the recents option...will do that in the next update.
Realized when I uploaded and saw Nits post again, haha.
Is there a way to enable the option to disable the NFC and the Power saving icon with a future update?
I noticed that even though I chose not to change the APM (I like the one included in NuSense), it is changed. I cannot reboot into recovery and I now have a stupid reminder that restarting will clear the memory. I had read that installing this APM would do that, so I made sure that the box was unchecked. Not a huge deal, but very annoying. And all I really wanted was the centered clock!
Having a strange issue. I installed the Google dialer and now every time I call someone that name and number gets added to the favorites. Minor thing. Anyone else experiencing this. Thanks for the hard work santod!

Yeah, I had complained about the ModPack APM confirmation dialog on the NuSense thread (sorry, Santod), and I was actually coming over here to warn of what I subsequently discovered and you just described .
Question? If I switch to the Google dialer will I lose the ability to sync my Facebook contacts like on the GPE?

Wrong thread? Anyway, I believe the Facebook sync is a function of Facebook's app and independent of your dialer.
Now, how does one properly replace the Sense dialer with Google's? I've messed with adding the apk, but incoming calls always reverted to Sense...
Edit: I hadn't seen that Santod added new mods including the Google dialer. I'll have to check it out.

Well, having avoided this ModPack because of how it messes up the APM, I just flashed it to get the GPE dialer. The dialer seems great, but the APM is messed up. Knowing that the ModPack install breaks the native NuSense APM if the ModPack's APM isn't selected, I selected the ModPack APM along with the GPE dialer.
Now all the APM does is reboot. when I select power off or restart recovery, it just reboots. Ironically, when I selected restart, it seemed to do a "hot restart".
Next I'm going to run a test on a clean install of NuSenseSIX v10.1 to see if it's something in my current data or boot image that's causing it to mess up like this.

Any thoughts on the APM funkiness? I just restored a clean install of NuSenseSIX (with the native APM included), and after flashing build 5 of the ModPack, with the new APM selected, it fails to work (as described two posts up).
Does NuSenseSIX need to be installed without APM originally in order for the modpack APM to work?

Haven't been able to replicate that, sorry.
I will be redoing how that's included though, in the next update.
But it should just work for now, has for me every time.
I also previously had my own native apm.
But I have flashed many times.
So I will try the latest pack on a clean rom install with native apm again, when I get a chance.
Really don't see why it wouldn't work though.

Thanks. Very curious. I'll try build 6.
The first time I flashed an early release of the modpack I installed APM over the native APM, and I recall it seemed to work fine (my only gripe was the extra confirmation on restarts).
@santod040
would you like to add some new statusbar and noticebar like the picture?

OK - I think the problem to APM only occurs when you don't install it. My initial flash of the ModPack included the APM option. The native NuSenseSIX APM was replaced and the result worked fine. When I decided I preferred the native APM, I reflashed the ModPack with APM unselected, the result was not reverted to the native APM. Here's what I believe to be the case currently:
When you flash the ModPack on a clean instance of NuSenseSIX v10 with APM unselected, your native APM will be broken.
Once the ModPack is run with unselected APM, a subsequent install of the ModPack's APM will look fine, but the functions don't behave as expected.
All that said, THANK YOU for porting and extending this ModPack! I really like having the GPE dialer in particular (and I'm cheerfully using the ModPack's APM and it's reboot confirmation to use it).
