Hey!
As some of you know the Gingerbread Launcher (available in Market) is blurry on Android 2.3.3 [JVB].
Can anybody fix that? Is there already a fix/a compatible GB Launcher?
I would like to have that slim "theme" with 3D appdrawer, not a big launcher like LP or ADW....

Use "Launcher Pro" its the best Gingerbread launcher and has that 3d menu u want but not blurry..
As is said i don't like LP. The 3D Launcher actually is laggy and too choppy..

its not laggy at all.. and not choppy, maybe u used an old version?
Downloaded newest from market. Still lags...
with choppy i meant the 3d "edge" which isn't a bit rounded...

I did a fix for my JVK galaxy S, the problem is the 3D library of 2.3.3. Check here for the fix. And for 3D launcher you could just use this one, I pull from Nexus S 2.3.

Anyone able to get the gingerbread launcher working at all?
Its the same from what I can tell running it on emulator. Nothing new.
I wonder if google could release the launcher to the market o.o
Yeah when looking at it its launcher2 still?
Although the dock bar it does look different, more like a black square.

The gingerbread launcher is working 100% on my SGS. It's available on the market as "Gingerbread Launcher" by MoDaCo.
Although you can't customize it though. Still nice, and fast.
it is slower than the TouchWiz launcher

Great! I don't like too much the dock, but I prefer this one as it doesn't have any 3d effect

Sorry, but you must be kidding, right? I don't know if it's faster than GTG TouchWiz (I don't think so by the way), but for sure it's faster than original TW!
Yep its definitnely faster than my normal touch wiz

Not in my case, and I got 103 apps installed.
The Gingerbread Launcher only has 5 screens by default. Any way to add 2 more screens for a total of 7?
ADW lancher>i think tat is not quite good enough
Launcher Pro>yes,its very smooth..but not enough option
Go launcher EX> ya~ tis work pretty good..,but really lag in app drawer, even the latest version. (not as smooth as launcher pro apps drawer)

I am looking for some help. I like using sense, and would like to use a GB launcher.

The problem is that it doesn't look right. There is a grey box over shadowing the launcher.
My question is that maybe Chingy510 or someone else can modify it to work and look good with Calkulin's eVio 1.8.

you're trying to use a 5 icon dock with sense widgets right? If so I suggest using launcher pro plus and launcher pro glass sense skin both are in market but they're not free. You can also add custom launcher icons to modify your dock bar appearance. The skin is almost exactly the same as sense.

So I tried both of these and they don't use sense, which is what I would like to keep. Thanks again, maybe some will have a work around for me.

Launcher Pro (my favorite) or Zeam.
Really its a question of which launcher on AOSP.
I Prefer Go Launcher.
Launcher Pro
or QQ Launcher for the MIUI look
Zeam is the most simple, with good customizations + it has the smoothness a launcher should have...worth trying
Hi guys I tried zeam launcher for the first time. As you say is very simple and light... but it seems to have some lag in the app drawer especially in horizontal mode, don't you think? Also tried QQ launcher but too laggy too... what about adw launcher EX that's completely different from adw launcher in cyanogen?

GO Launcher EX is nice if you want speed, nice animated widgets and miui like interface. LauncherPro is still the fastest but its not updated a while so my opinion is if you want free good launcher try GO Launcher EX...
Launcher Pro is still a good choice if you want a stable and responsive launcher. There haven't been any updates for a while, but on the other hand it's quite finished and there's not much left to be desired.
Hmm, see even though I have LP Pro (all fully paid for) I dont use it. I find Go is Much smoother for me.

Totally agree. Go Launcher works better than LP on your rom, even though it's just a little.

yes, and if it does not work after that, try to reboot your phone
Alternatively, you could just download the Nova Launcher from the market. It's also based on the AOSP Launcher, but more customizable. You can make it look and behave just like the stock launcher, though.
It feels a bit more polished than Trebuchet to me ATM.
I found ApexLauncher on Play Store. A little bit better as nova

afaik none of the three support folders or tabs (to emulate new pages in TW) in app drawer, so TW still has some use

Neither trebuchet... As far as i've seen only TW allows folders in app drawer.

On the official ICS with nova all samsung widgets work like a charm...
