Hi
What is the best launcher for SGS2?
1- GO Launcher EX
2- ADWLauncher EX
3- LauncherPro
4- Zeam Launcher
5- MXHome Launcher
My vote goes to Launcher Pro because I've been using it for a long time and I've grown accustomed to it. For a while I used Go and I liked it a lot but eventually I got back to LP.

I'm using GO launcher at the moment and really like it so far.
I've used LauncherPro with Litening 1.5, but ik kept freezing and force-closing on boot...
What's wrong with touchwiz?
I'm using touchwiz 4.5 and I'm very happy with it.
GoLauncher rulez._
On my previous phone (SGS) I used for almost 6 months straight LauncherPro and I was fine!
When I bought SGS II (2 months ago) I installed GoLauncher EX and I was stunned!!!
Of course I have also tried 99% of the launchers out there, so far.
None is as complete, smooth, revolutionary etc, as GoLauncher EX! Serious work is being made.
So my vote goes to extraordinairy GoLauncher EX.

Have you ever tried another 3rd party launcher dude???
Launcher pro gets my vote, used it on my hero and incredible, although that being said, the only other launcher i've tried is ADW and really didnt like it.
Can't say about the other launchers on the poll
I hate launchers with docks that have small icons. I like to use my phones with one hand and it's so hard to hit those small dock icons correctly everytime. ADW launcher is very flexible in this regard. You can even remove the dock altogether and put normal icons there and then make them %125 size, which is what I do.
What I really want though, is Windows Phone 7 like sliding launcher. I want just one single homepage with icons and widgets that slides up and down, but I want to be able to put more that 2 icons side by side, so WP7 clones don't work for me. Until someone comes up with something like that, it's ADW for me.
I think adb shell 3d is the best i have it and works perfect!!!!!

I tried all the popular launchers available, and for me touchwiz is the best. And I see lots of people who prefers using TouchWiz.
I use vtlauncher.. a adw version for tablets were u ..can choose were to place the menu bar.. i have two.. the main with telefon msg camera and browser at the bottom.. and a secondary at the left with the spanish tv channels of zatto
i´m using ZEAM Launcher... it is small, clean and very fast....
I have used LauncherPro Plus on my 5 other devices (milestone, sgs, desire z, o2x and the sensation) and was planning to do that on the sgs2 but once I got it, I found myself liking touchwiz so I've kept on using it.

Here.
I don't know TouchWiz is the best or not but definitely far better than the launchers mentioned here. I've tried Go, Launcher Pro and ADW, I didn't like any of them, had a feeling that they all are unfinished. Couldn't even set a wallpaper without Hazy background! But of them, ADW was the simplest and nicest, but still I am talking about choosing something from a worst list
All are my opinion only, don't take it personally as I didn't mean it that way.
Regards.
I've been using Slidescreen 2 beta.

Confirm.... TW4. 5 is very awsome and very fast
I love also Zeam launcher, simply, useful and light
About myself, Go launcher ex is the best, i feel with free with this launcher, beautiful, faster and flexible
TouchWiz
Hi There,
I've tested every single launcher and my choice is definitely touchwiz
I use Go launcher atm.. Tried ADW awhile.. But folder functions wasent wery pleasing for it. I know how to create folders but I get bugged out because the app stays in main app folder too..
Hi everybody! After a while with stock rooted and modded sense, I decided to switch to cm7. But the launcher that comes with this Rom (adw launcher) is slow on my desire... so what launcher do you use or do you suggest to me?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Launcher Pro (my favorite) or Zeam.
Really its a question of which launcher on AOSP.
I Prefer Go Launcher.
Launcher Pro
or QQ Launcher for the MIUI look
Zeam is the most simple, with good customizations + it has the smoothness a launcher should have...worth trying
Hi guys I tried zeam launcher for the first time. As you say is very simple and light... but it seems to have some lag in the app drawer especially in horizontal mode, don't you think? Also tried QQ launcher but too laggy too... what about adw launcher EX that's completely different from adw launcher in cyanogen?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
GO Launcher EX is nice if you want speed, nice animated widgets and miui like interface. LauncherPro is still the fastest but its not updated a while so my opinion is if you want free good launcher try GO Launcher EX...
Launcher Pro is still a good choice if you want a stable and responsive launcher. There haven't been any updates for a while, but on the other hand it's quite finished and there's not much left to be desired.
Hmm, see even though I have LP Pro (all fully paid for) I dont use it. I find Go is Much smoother for me.
Espier Launcher FTW (though the iPhone look may piss some hardcore Androiders)
Herpderp Defy.
I use the Arc Launcher v2 posted by slither2006
It's just fast and the built-in folder management is quite useful.

C'mon.
What is your favourite Launcher? != Which launcher do you prefer using cm7?
I don't think so. Unless you can disprove me, this is beyond idiotic...

Totally agree. Go Launcher works better than LP on your rom, even though it's just a little.

I'm quite sure that Apex is ICS only.
ADW launcher is the best for me, simply and fast! I don't like Go Launcher, but I don't know why

I prefer ICS Launcher, only Googles own ICS Launcher is better.
Just installed Sandvolts ICS rom 4.1.5 and i am amazed at the amount of customization that has gone into it
I am posting as when i went into the installer it was asking me which launcher i wanted
in the end i thought i would start by trying Nova
I just am asking to find out what is everyone who uses ics what is your favorite launcher and why?
I use Nova launcher. Can't complain.
I 2nd Nova! great features and cant go wrong Other than Nova i do like Apex launcher aswell

Meh x1000000
The dev hasn't updated it in over a year, it's now an abandoned project. Also GOLauncher has a lot more features and widgets. (still use Nova though )

If the app works fine, why should there be an update?
And these features you mention, I do not miss anything in LP, so who cares?
If Nova is as smooth as LP for me, I would change. But in the moment, no chance.
Apex
For me the best is apex smooth, stable

Same here, found no problems with Apex. Though, if you read the Sandroid thread there are a few having issues with the update but suspect this could be localised due to none full wipes and personalised settings...
Nova work pretty good for me. I use it with ICS by Sandvold
Another vote for Nova! ")
I find Apex is really lightweight, stable and smooth, and offers more customization than the free version of Nova.
+1 Apex Launcher, at least for now

To me LP feels way outdated in comparison to ICS. Yeah it's smoother, but I miss the search bar from ICS, the in drawer widgets, old animations, and the app drawer in ICS (or any palignated drawer) is a lot easier to navigate, using "menu" is back like it was in GB...
It feels like taking ICS, tearing a big hole in it and then patching it up with GB.
Nova Launcher! Seems to be the fastest in Sandvold's ICS Rom.
According my experience in using ICS by Sandvoid, both stock launcher and apex are smooth
may be stock is more stable
Apex, because it's smooth and stable.
i know, i know, this has probably been asked a million times, but i'm directing this to S3 users here in our little corner of the world, please don't hate
i've been using the holo launcher hd pro now for some time and i truly love the way it works. its smooth, elegant, doesnt get in the way, and best off all, gives me an AOSP look and feel when running a non-AOSP rom. i also use the holo locker as well. i use this launcher on both my S3 and my Xoom tablet
it seems to me that the holo launcher doesnt get enough respect. i see many a custom rom that includes nova or apex, but not holo (or even adw or go launchers for that matter).
when i search for "launcher" on the play store the first five results are in order GO, ADW, Nova, Apex, and Launcher 7, with Nova Prime and Apex Pro 6th and 7th.
Holo is on the first page of results, but is second from the bottom. hardly respectable if you ask me. there are themes that show up higher in that search
anyway, so lets keep it civil and not bash on each others choice of launcher. i just want to get a feel for how popular these launchers are on the S3 or do you prefer the stock TouchWiz interface?
let your voice be heard and vote above!

I use the stock TouchWiz one, but when I root it I use LGUI3.0 It's so much better, and gives you alot more customization options than TouchWiz. I think TouchWiz is so bland...
I was surprised to see that the default launcher with CM10 doesn't have a back-up function. I switched back to ADW because I was familiar with it from CM7. I also missed the infinite scroll feature that's available in ADW (and some of the others).

have you tried holo launcher at all? i just did a test and it does use about 59mg of ram where as apex shows as cached and ready when you need it, so from that, it seems that apex is much lighter on resources, but i still really love holo, you should try it

For GB zeam launcher is smoothest and very low RAM consume.,

smoothest one ive ever tried is launcher 8 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lx.launcher8&hl=en its fast and simple but won't b interesting unless ur into windows phone 8 style
Lightning Launcher
The installer size is only 198 KiB.
If you can stand with just basic features, and you don't give a f**k with customization, then Lightning Launcher is your best choice. (Links in pep's post, just above mine). It is said that it is Super-customizable. (However when I used ssLauncher I realized a super-customizable launcher should be no grids so I can determine what's the best for my screen).
But if you give f**k to those and you want to express yourself (or just take some from MyColorScreen) then you may want to try ssLauncher, even if in an instructions he/she instructs to use any launcher.

Well, LL is super-customizable alright... you can disable its grid, you can rotate icons and widgets, you can scroll any ways (left-right but also up-down), you can use labels instead of icons, and labels/icons can open a fully-customizable "surface" not just an icon-list folder...
What it doesn't have, is slick animations.
