I believe it does an account check on initial use. it requires you to be on mobile data to start the app the first time, and then after you can stream via wifi if you want.
installed this on my hd2 running android 2.2. it installs, and when i open it, it gets stuck on the magenta t mobile tv opening page and nothing loads. anyone else get this problem?
Edit: got only blank screen when connected to 3g. connected thru wifi, then ran program, got past initial page, search for updates, do you want to start trial, clicked yes, and it said i must disable wifi on first run, so i clicked disable wifi, and then it gets stuck in loading screen. so i get nothing in 3g, in wifi, get somewhere but sent back to 3g. anyone else?
I was just coming to post this, but it looks like you beat me to it.
I just extracted it from the MyTouch ROM, installed it on my G2, and it's working perfectly. I have no intention of actually paying 10 bucks a month for it, but I'll keep it installed, see what content stays free after 30 days.
Awesome, I will deffinatly be using this today at work...

If u read the agreement. If u don't call and cancel it will just put the 10bucks extra on after the initial 30days.

Actually, if you read the agreement, you can go to the HELP tab and unsubscribe from there. There is a checkbox that you uncheck to unsubscribe.
Hung on 3G so turned on wifi said to close wifi then just 'hangs" on 3G. So I rebooted and now just "hangs" on both 3G and/or Wifi.
Vibrant running XipherBUILD.v.1.1 lax-fix
would be nice if everyone would list the OS version and hardware

I am trying to set up the tethering on my windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. All the drivers are installed correctly. But when I try to set up the modem it doesn't pop up with the Samsung modem. And if I continue anyway, go back to network connections it shows the Samsung Mobile modem but it cannot connect. I've tried the username *99***1# With WAP(at)CINGULARGPRS(dot)COM and password CINGULAR1. Is it not connecting because I have the NODO installed on my focus?

Uninstall NoDo. That functionality was never intended to be exposed anyways, so if you brought the phone intending to tether a lot, that's just your bad.
You can roll back from NoDo in Zune, at the Update tab.
Nevermind, just disabled It trying to use encryption in the settings. It works flawless now. Think I'll keep nodo.

Which option did you use to disable that?
Hello,
ever since I went to visit the East Coast, my phone simply will not pick up my location. This has been going on for the past two months but I figured it would tide over. If I try to pick up my location in GPS, no luck. If I try to add a weather app, it won't work on Detect location. Is this a problem with the phone that occurs over time? Is my phone messed up? Is it my rom? (Cyanogen 7.0.3)
Thank you!

The compass works but maps and weather simply don't. I try to use my location as the start location and I keep getting the "location currently unavailable" message.

When you mean 'GPS tests', do you mean you can get a GPS fix with other apps?

If getting a GPS fix isn't a problem, the link provided by ac3theone won't help. That's for people who are getting very slow fixes or no fix at all.

For about a week now, I keep getting this request on my status bar. Where did it come from and how do I remove it?
If I sign in, it opens the browser and takes me to Google.com.

Maybe Airpush?. Download any sketchy apps?
The last thing I installed was Google keep. Is Google going sour on its users?
I noticed the same on my wife's nexus running cm 10.1
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Usually this means that the WiFi you are connected to requires login to function.
Beamed from my CM10.1 Galaxy Nexus
No Google Keep shouldn't be causing that.
If it is a public network, You might want to download one of those wifi security apps.
It's on any network. They are private home networks and I've been using them for the last two years. Nothing on the Wi-Fi routers have changed.
Has anybody noticed that ad blocker apps are getting some sort of java error?
I'll post the error message next time

adblocker apps no longer work on non-rooted Android devices;
http://adblockplus.org/blog/adblock-plus-for-android-issues-with-the-latest-jelly-bean-updates
an quick search on Google would tell you that.
