So i noticed in the My Apps section of the market a "Gallery 3d" by Rayman50. I dont have that installed, but it doesnt give me the option of uninstalling it. Is my phone recognizing the stock Gallery as one from the Market?

Well yeah
Our gallery and gallery 3d are essentially the same app
I used both and they both look alike and they both have the same problems

It's installed as a system app. You can see it and remove it with sdx app removal tool if you want. Also a good tool for backing up system apps before ROM installs just in case they remove them.

They just take up space and I don't use them at all.
Download anttek app manager from the market.... no need to use cwm

Flash a rom that has em alreeady removed roms are typically faster too and hve better battery life

Don't flash a Rom just to delete bloatware when you can just use an app
Root explorer or SDX App Remover.
Lots of options. I like titanium backup to remove apps.

This ^^^^^^
Use Sdx App removal tool because it allows you to back them up first and then delete them. Just in case you delete something that another app depends on.

So does Titanium. No need to backup anyway...if you ever need to bring your phone into Sprint and put these *****ass bloat apps back on ur phone you can just flash the reRFS EC05 Rom and theyre back. I'm assuming if you never use the Sprint Football app that you're never one day gunna wake up and be like "Darn! I want that app back today!" The only PRACTICAL reason would be if you want to return to stock for some reason, like if you have to bring ur phone in for service.

I got you http://www.mediafire.com/?uih7tb3q3a85etl
I've had this issue with the Android Market 3.1.5 (and lower) - stock 2.3.4, no root.
Usually if I get a notification that I have an app update and click on it, it takes me to the my apps section however there are only the paid apps i've bought sitting there. Not the other 90 apps that I've downloaded free.
I go and clear data and that works sometimes. And other times it doesn't. I've submitted the problem to Google but I was wondering if others see this behavior and if there are any work arounds???? It's real frustrating.
I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the Market. Rebooted phone, pulled battery. Even done a factory reset. This happens on my E4GT and my Evo4G.

If you restored a backup chances are market links were restored and you will have to wait for an update or unstall and reinstall the app

I have the same issue, I prefer the older market version (wich does show all my apps, and shows the updates better also), but it wont allow me to keep it from updating for some reason, even if I freeze market updater.
it always upgrades to 3.15 after a few times going into market
this has been happening to me since I got the phone. I rooted and then went back to stock kernel, which kept me rooted. I restored my titanium backup apps with data and I believe that may have something to do with it.
as soon as I see that I have updates I know I will have to go to applications and clear data and reopen and it will then show me all of my apps again.
I talked with Google's Market help today. They know about this and are trying to figure it out.

I have tried renaming the marketupdate.apk in system/app but it still updates itself. I have tried freezing said apk with titanium backup and yet it still updates itself. I have a version of the market that I like but installing it everyday is getting old. How can I successfully keep it from updating on its own?? I'm on CM7.1 btw. Thanks.
Did you freeze the market or market updater?

I froze the Market Updater using Titanium Backup.
A quick search found me this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295800
Hope this helps...
Froze that marketupdater and the damn thing still updates. I then deleted marketupdater and it still updated to the new crap market! What the hell?

I hate it. I can search for an app and then try to install it and it just sits there forever. But as soon as I install the older version and search for the same app and install it, the app downloads and installs right away. Sigh.

Yep, multiple times. I have installed the old version a few times now. I must have jacked with the wrong file or something cuz now the new version FCs when I try to download somthing and the old version closes as soon as I click the Market icon. LOL. I need to reinstall my ROM anyway. Fresh start.
It definitely decreased the visibility for my app. In that way I don't like it, but as a user, I got used to it.

Running 4.0.4, and no matter what google+ wont go away. I have frozen it with TiBU, it stays frozen for a little while, then it comes back to the app drawer. Look in TiBU and its unfrozen. Ive uninstalled the updates, reinstalled the updates, disabled it in settings, its the app that wont die!
If your rooted just delete the app from system/app directory.

I didn't want to have to resort to uninstalling it, but I used TiBU to uninstall it. Never seen an app defrost itself before.
i think it is a bug of ics. even u use the original disable button in app menu, sometimes it will "enable" itself after rebooting the phone

Why would you not? you want Google+ to stop running so what's the purpose of having a app on your phone that you don't want running in the first place?
You can always reinstall it via the market anyway.

I guess I'm gun shy still from when I had my razr, you uninstall an app you weren't suppose to on that and your completely off the upgrade path.
Agree, proper app will go away if frozen w/Titanium
and from the OS developer no less? wtf
If you're rooted install root explorer if you don't already have it. Create a directory under /system called app.disabled and move the apk from system/app to there. Problem solved. If you ever want it re-enabled just move it back.

I need some input from fellow members- I just flashed Goodness Ics Rom- and its great- anyway- I'm reorganizing my apps- and deleting those I never or hardly use- and There is Voice recorder ( green icon- black microphone in center-) has no name visible..I went into settings, manage apps, to delete, and its not there..went into uninstall app- not in list, tried submenu of lists...nowhere- I thought of going into esfile explorer, but cant find it- what file would it be under - its on sd card..which submenu/folder would it be so I can delete this parasite of an app? Thanks.. BTW it just force closes EVERY time I went to use it when I flashed this rom. I cant even remove it from titanium backup. Yellow triangle came up to force-uninstall app. I had to press power off to reboot phone- and abort the action. what is the deal ??
Using your launcher, drag the icon to the info button ( I believe this is in Apex), see if you can delete from there. If you know the app name (assuming you do since you located it with Titanium), it is probably located under system/app. You can delete from there using a file explorer like Root Explorer.

That's a stock Samsung app comes on every E4GT.. From applications the disable option is grayed out so only thing I can think of is to use titanium backup but u already said it fails so idk.. Try to see of you can google an apk for sdx stock app remover. That usually deletes anything with no problem for me..
