Hi all,
First off all, I'm new here so sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong section / being newbish.
I have a problem with my HTC Touch Pro 2, the T-Mobile network isn't working when I boot into android. It works just fine in when I'm in Windows Mobile so the problem isn't with the simcard. When I'm in Android however it recognises T-Mobile NL, but it just says: "No Service".
I don't know if it is a common problem with Android and T-Mobile, but Google didn't really help either.
Thanks for taking your time to read this.

Post the text from your startup.txt. I think I know why it isn't working, but I need you to post that to be sure.
Nvm. It was the simcard after all, I tried it with the simcard of my dad and it worked. So I'm taking it to t-mobile tomorrow and see if they can fix it for me.
Thanks anyway for your reply

Hi there,
I 've been searching your and other sites for the last 10 hours - non stop- to find a secure way to 'application unlock' my htc touch hd, WM6,1.
I just switched to this phone, and find that many programs I used to run on my Ipaq 4700hx, now fail due to certificate problems. And I now understand that app unlock should do the trick. However little is being said about this new device.
Anybody ?
Cheers
Geert
Please
Could somebody please have a look at this; apparently I posted at an unfavorable time.
Cheers

Hello Geert,
Same problem here! No solution yet. Spend already 20 hours on the net for finding something really working. I did a soft reset, uninstalled software, copied a cab by dragging it from PC to mobile SD Card ànd Root of the mobile, nothing worked!
Some suggest to do a hard reset, but i read already in some forums that that didn't work either. Maybe the unlockmethod is the rule. But how does it can that many haven't the problems we have? Is it they bought the HTC Touch HD from a store instead of getting it i.c.w. an abbo?
Hi,
I did the HTC Application unlock from here and I've never had a problem.

Try this update is for text messages from the HTC website.
How do you install?
First extract the file to your desktop, then save it on the mini sd,
go on your sd and run it.Ciao

I recently purchased an Unlocked HTC touch pro 2 (obviously), but when I flashed a new rom, Jackos and Energy's, i can't get the phone to retrieve a signal. Where I live there is only Edge network but it won't even pick up that. the radio is fine and the connection settings are fine, just won't get a signal. The Rhodium version is RHOD*** is what the bootloader says. Please any help to fix this would be appreciated. Thank you for your time and have a nice day

Does it really show you the three asterisks, or did you add that in there? That's the device model number, which would be helpful to us in addressing your issue.
That is actually what is shows me. I found out recently that I need a Tilt2 motherboard and antenna module for this phone to work here.
Hello everyone!
i just got my HTC One X last night.
This morning i got a new sim from T-Mobile and popped it in.
Everything was well except for the data. When I go to access point name menu it says sim card not detected but i can make calls and text.
I don't know what's wrong. I'm am running NRGZ rom if that helps. Yet to try it with the stock rom. I'm running it on the T-Mobile US network.
I tried rebooting and re flashing, but it still isn't detecting the sim card in the access point names menu.
I have no idea what to do.
Whenever i enter the T-Mobile APN settings, it does not save. it says APN Saved, but it does not show up in the list.
Thanks in advance for any help
So i was browsing through the Q and A here
and i found this link

I have been experiencing the exact same issue.
Yesterday I went to T-Mobile store and picked up a micro-SIM. Tried programming the APN by hand but had the same results as you described.
When I interacted with T-Mobile support last night, they tried to send in a message that supposedly would auto-configure the phone, but the message never arrived.
I got in touch with the ebay reseller, who suggested that the phone does not work on 1700MHz network provided by T-Mobile. I think it's not exact that, it has to do with the SIM itself.
I will pester T-Mobile store clerk tomorrow and post you results.
Guys, you have to fully read these threads. This issue has been discussed over several threads now.
The current micro SIM cards provided by T Mobile do not play nice with our One X. You have to search the retail stores for a non GBA micro SIM. The non GBA micro SIM cards allow for voice and data and your One X will auto configure.
The newer micro SIMs from T Mobile will only allow for voice. I don't exactly know why that is but that's what it is. Don't bother calling customer care as they cannot order the older/non GBA micro SIM for you. You have to call the physical stores and ask.
Also, you will currently only get 2g data until T Mobile USA switches 3g data to the 1900 MHz band in your area.
Good luck with your search!

Dude, you quoted a thread that I started, and you posted on that thread and I gave you a reply there and now here.
Take the time to read the post. Some of us may be going through what you are going through and are willing to share advice and experiences that may help you but you have to read the post/reply's.
Good luck with your One X.
Hi everybody
I recently purchased a galaxy s2 Tmob but I have network issues
When I insert my SIMPLE MOBILE sim card, everything's fine, I can do phone calls, send sms and go online with data (but internet is slow), after few minutes the internet connection becomes very slow and then drops; followed by the network (the phone doesn't find network anymore)
The network comes back only if I restart the phone and it goes again
When I got the phone it was android 4.0.4
I tried to update with Samsung Kies, but a problem occured and I used "Kies recovery mode" to do the update
Finally the phone was successfully updated to android 4.1.2 but still the same problem. I did a factory reset+data deleting through settings and I still have the network issue
After some researches on the forum, I saw terms like "stock rom" and "radio" always mentionned where people had others network issues but I don't understand all that
Does somebody know how to fix it?
Thank u
hi
I found something to do about that
I saw on certain posts people saying that network problem can be fixed by flashing last radio version
so, that's what I did and by the way I rooted the device to flash SGH-T989_UVMC6_radio.zip
The problem seems to be solved but I'll wait to see if the network won't disappear again
Again, network is gone after 30 mn
pls someone can tell me what to do to solve this problem?
Where did you buy your phone? It sounds like it has a bad radio.
I used craigslist
when I bought it, I tested it with my sim card, there was no problem
U mean by bad radio an hardware problem?
hello, does someone have a tip for me to get my problem solved?
