I just bought an otterbox case and before this had one for my iphone 3g. With that otterbox I was able to wear the belt clip and listen to music. With the Captivate if I wear the belt clip and try to listen to music the jack is covered by the plastic. Anyone use another belt clip that allows access to the jack or do I have to use another type of case if I want to listen to music. Thanks.
the stock headphones that came with it just barely fits
but for other headphones use a dremmel or some sand paper to cut way some of the plastic on the belt clip so your headphone jack fits...

Every phone that i have owned came out with this easy clip on case that clips onto the phone and has a tight rotating belt clip on the back. Its a 1 piece snap on casing with belt clip, not the 2 piece that you can add a belt clip using screws.
This was always cheap but i found it useful when i'm interchanging Extra batteries as i can remove the snap on clip with ease.
I can't find one for this phone, and i'm not talking about those leather casing with belt clip or the body glove.
Has anyone found this snap on case with belt clip i'm looking for?
Ebay doesn't even carry it!
Hi to all, I was wondering if there is a rubber cover which can actually fit in to the headphone jack to prevent dust and dirt from accumulating in the jack? Not a whole case just a rubber cover which will only fit into the headphone jack.
Does any thing similar exist ?
Thanks..
some of the little cheap stylus that you can buy for a buck or so on eBay have a plastic peg that fits in the head phone Jack to attach them to the phone

I figured out that with the cases that come with a holster, its REALLY easy to make a car mount. All you really need is something strong that is more or less "L" shaped and your favorite adhesive, My case is a Case-mate Phantom w/ holster. I used a foam type of adhesive tape and a 5.25" drive cover, heated a portion of it with a lighter and bent it into the desired shape. The Holster simply clips right on! This way you can still take it with you when you leave the vehicle.
You can use metal L brackets for something stronger and something that you don't have to fabricate.
Cool...

I currently have the spigen ultra hybrid case and it holds up well but the cutout for the headphone jack is too small. It won't any of my headphones, which is the Sanheiser HD 202 II. Are there any cases out there that have a bigger cutout for the headphone jack?
The Spigen is a great case. You could probably drill it better, or change the headphone cord... I'd keep the case.
Yes, I had to take that decision so I kept the spygen hybrid case and drilled a bigger hole
You could always get a small extension cable with a thinner recessed casing like this.
I have one of these and it fits every case. The jack tip is the same size as on a set of ear buds. Then you just plug whatever headphones you want into the adapter. Saves you having to modify or drill your case.

Mods, apologies if this wasn't supposed to be in this forum but I figure most folks selected the Galaxy Buds with their promos.
I did a ton of research on the buds and it looks like the case is super important because you use them to charge, and you also place your buds in there to turn them off. They can be charged wirelessly and via USB-C.
I ordered a case to protect the buds from drops and bumps and found this for under $10.

Pros: Super cheap, less than 10 bucks, dust protection for the USB-C port, ring for carabiner so you can hook it to a backpack or purse.
I bought this one. Around the same price but smoother to the body. Holds really snug too.

biggest issue atm is the buds will fallout after dropping the slippery case. in a busy street, expect people to step on it.
this protective case will prevent case from opening up when dropped.
problem with this case is dust magnet. after some time, dust will collect inside the case, causing less grip on the case. often slipping off position.
