i just installed the new GingerVillain on my Desire.
But for some reason the sync of Contacts with Facebook doesnt work. It's enabled in the account settings as well as in the facebook app but my contacts dont get the pictures they have on facebook..
any idea how to solve this?

Hey guys I am having a problem getting my calender to sync with Facebook. All the contacts are synced over but none of the event are there. In the menu/setting on calender i see a spot to add a calender but when you go to that all you can do is cancel out of it. Is there any known fixes for this or anyone else experiencing this besides me?
Once your phone syncs with facebook, it will never update your phone side contacts with any new facebook Contacts

The only way I know of is to delete the sync and start over again. but it takes so long to join all the contacts.
Im talking about the integrated facebook, bc i like how you can see their status on dial.
anyone have any issues with syncing the on board social app with facebook contacts? it just wont sync for me. the calender dos sync but not contacts. keeps saying social sync is down, try later.. the market facebook app pulled my contacts but i dont like it that way.. anyone else?
You're not the only one. I've been trying along with twitter, I can't even add the accounts after a master reset

first of all i'm sorry for my english, but it's not my first language.
I've a issue with the syncronization of the facebook contacts with the default address book of my wildfire.
I installed the facebook app, and i set it to syncronize all the contacts by facebook-settings-sincronize...
Now in the addressbook i see all my facebook contacts, all my gmail contacts, but only gmail contacts with a pic loaded on gmail have a pic on the address book.
So the great part of the contacts haven't a pic.
How can i do?
I'm using the last cyano nightly.
Please don't suggest me to use SyncMyPix, i don't like that app, it makes my address book too much slow.
I want a "clean" solution. Before i flashed my Wildfire, with the stock ROM, i visualized all the pics =/

how does friendcaster work? syncs the existing contacts only or all?
It works great! It syncs all contacts and you can also use HQ pics. Try it and told me what do you think
I've recently had this problem, only a few contact images were visible after syncing using the Facebook app. For me, it seemed that the photos which were synched were the ones which you have previously loaded up on the Facebook app.
I got around the problem by clicking onto my friends list within the Facebook app, and scrolling through the list waiting for each of the profile pictures to load up. Once I'd got to the bottom of the list I went back to contacts on the phone all of the images were visible!
Slightly strange workaround but now all my contact images are visible and they all update as they should.

I use Leedroid GB Rom in my desire. I added Facebook account through Friendcaster and it appeared under accounts and sync option in account settings and i synced the contacts of FB via friendcaster. In my people app, under the view option, that account is not visible. But when i install Go contact, i can see all the contacts. Why does this happen. IS this a problem with Friendcaster or Leedroid GB Rom. Help Appreciated.

I think you must sign in via 'Facebok for HTC Sense' for the contact sync to work....
Or, if adding your account to the Facebook for Sense doesn't work at all, try deleting your Facebook accounts and re-add them. Sometimes that does the trick. I don't know why, but it helped me with similar sync problems.
