Hi There!
I am trying to find a Unlock screen that was in an earlier ROM I had (Ultimate but I can't recall which specific one).
Essentially it was a bar two thirds of the way down the screen, that went across the entire screen and required to be pulled down. I have seen two of these one that was like a oval shape and the other which was a rectangle, and I would like the rectangle one back.
Anyone able to assist please?
Seems like you are talking about the Themed version of Epic Lockscreen.
Do you have an example and do you know how I can reinstate it?

This is how the stock version of Epic Lockscreen looks like. You need to install a Theme which has 5 lockscreens based on your ROM.
Thanks but that isn't the one I am talking about. The one I am talking about is a pull down bar
Something like this:

that's not epic lockscreen, you're looking for a sense lockscreen. install widgetlocker.
I tried but I couldn't work out how to replace the lockscreen with another type, and they only give you 15 minutes before you can't get a refund before you end up keeping it so I uninstalled it. All it did by default was add more options to my lock screen I couldn't see how to change the format and look of the actual one.
Anyone else able to assist?
And another Bump!
sounds like valle mod 0.7. Not the new ones and there's no pictures of it.

that was a themed epic lock with a black bar you had to pull down

I have Virtuous 3.1.0 installed, and I was wondering how I could port the white notification bar from CM6 over, is it possible? What would I need to do.

The notification bar is part of the framework apk file, which isn't good to mess with unless you know what your doing as far as signing and pushing it back to the phone and all that.
I only successfully skinned a status bar in the new version of HTC Sense from the Desire HD because it supports skins its much easier to skin without changing out the framework and risk infinite reboot.
here's a good example

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
but to answer your question, yes its possible
is it easy? yes and no since the framework is involved here
Ninja morph.... get the .png you want, and swap it!
it's possible, it just takes a bunch if messing around to perfect your craft... basically you take the framwork-res.apk and the com.resoucres.apk and switch the white over tot he black. easier said than done...
I was all for the white status bar when I had my Eris. Now I love the black, I actually make the white bar black on CM6..
I always seen screen shots that have THIS task bar at the top there. What rom/task bar is that?
I'm wondering if its a specific rom for a certain phone or a bar that can be put on any phone. It's very clear, easy to see etc.

It could be a port, I might be wrong though but it might be another phone completely. I've never seen any Evo Rom with that notification bar.

It's the stock Android status bar pre-Gingerbread (Froyo, Eclair, Donut, etc.). The CM6 final (Froyo) ROM is the best ROM for that (but it wouldn't be too tough to replace the assets on any ROM).
I believe that is the default stock from google android taskbar on 2.2 and below
im unsure what rom would have that though
Edit: lol too slow...

So back in October of 2010, some guy named Irkan made the version for a black notification bar and I made the version for the white notification bar. Here they are, they work great in ICS. Just download and install like a normal apk.

Can you make 1 with stock battery icons for Android Revolution 2.1.2? LTE version?
no only because i don't have time. feel free to break into the apk and replace the icons though.
if you search for my posts on androidforums.com you'll find some links to big battery icons that are ICS type but probably lower resolution. might work.
Is this for the notification bar?
If so, does it replace the stock battery icon, or add an additional one?
Wow nice!!! But would you please explain what's the difference between two files? I'm running everything stock (locked bootloader), which one should I use?
If later one we decided to go back to the original, will simply uninstall this app work?
It adds an additional one. Just tried it. Would be nice if it was a replacement, which I guess would require root at the very least.
Hi guys,
I am looking for a way to mod my i9100 S2, running on cm10.1, by making the notification bar transparent (I have seen methods of this) BUT also overlaying the applications, such that the applications run like they're on full screen mode but the notification icons (no black bar) are overlaying apps. Currently, I am using THIS guide to hide the bar altogether so that I can have a full screen experience with a functioning notification/quick settings but I would rather if I can see the icons etc without the black bar and loss of screen available to apps.
A rough idea of what I want, I can use Photoshop to create a better example if needed:
What stock is like:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
What I am trying to get:
(The yellow/orange is the space taken by an application)
Hope you liked my art and, probably more importantly, understand what I am after.
All help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Andriod market
Hi,
We are a Web Hosting company in Iran and we want to run an "Android APP Store".
Do you (does anybody know) know good open source software so we can customize it for our local market?
Or do you know a company that sells these services (or software)?
Unrelated comment is unrelated. Seems like my request is nothing short of new, but can someone give me a hand?
After updating to Android 7.0 Nougat on my G5 (LG LS992) all my app icons changed. See attached picture for examples. The LG apps that come installed by default got simple, unique, all white backgrounds(the phone, contacts, and messenger icons at the bottom). User installed apps get one of seven new, all white backgrounds. I place one of each background type on example picture. Some of the backgrounds seem to be in the shape of a letter. There is no discernable pattern to what apps get what backgrounds and I can't find any information about these changes anywhere, no one else seems to be talking about it. Is anyone else seeing this?

I had that same problem and it was driving me nuts because it actually showed those icon labels behind the custom icon pack I was using. I was able to change it by changing the group of icons I wanted to use. I think I did it in Nova Launcher's settings. So if you're using a 3rd party home screen, check to see if you can change it there to Marshmallow's icons, or the system default or something.
