there is an update in the market of 2.0.9. does anyone have the apk? i cannt download it from the market.
dont think its official. there is an official chinese msn app around though, cant remember the name. last time i used it, it was not bad but could use improvement.

Okay, tried downloading the app on the galaxy S with froyo and it keeps on saying Skype cannot be installed. Please free some space even though I have more than 700 mb available. Anyone else suffering from the same problem?

This is the latest skype and should work fine, make sure you uninstall skype first.
I just wanted to say thank you for this! I'm in japan and there is no skype for mobile out here. This is working perfectly on my japanese version of the galaxy tab. I will next install it in my xperia x10, hopefully it will work on it too.

No. it 's the 1.0.0.538. It works more or less good . I haven't seen any 1.0.1 or earlier .614 version

Anyway I suggest you to try the nuance flext9 . I've always used swype but then I tried the flex, cause I was tired of the many bugs of swype... now I'm totally satisfied! I'll never go back to swype xD

sign up on that website .. it will send you open it on ur phone browser(make sure mobile view is ticked) it will install swype installer.. just install swype english and spanish and if u aint one of these 2 then download the 1st one.. and follow the instructions

After you downloaded swype installer and installed it, he asks you if you want to enable swype... Click on yes and the installer will license swype -> I had the same issue

If you rooted your phone you just need to install Market enabler, it fakes your provider
