Hey Guys,
I was trying to flash ToO's Cricket Rom to an HTC Sprint Vogue and after the process was finished it is stuck on the "HTC Smart Mobility" screen. I used an unlocker by cokeman before flashing I I think I need to re-lock the handset to flash it back to the original sprint ROM. However I need the older sprint rom and not the new one with GPS. When I put the phone in bootloader mode this is what it says:
It says:
VOGU100
SPL-0.41 Coke
CPLD-3
Where can I get the older ROM for the sprint vogue?
Update:
I am not able to load the original Sprint ROM. It errors out everytime at about 29%

Check PPCGeeks, there is a thread with factory ROM's.
Try doing this check your registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcosoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\MMSCsettings\make sure you only have one entry: Cricket MMS if you have another named Default or Sample, delete them and then try again; if it fails Delete all, soft re-boot and then install your ROM. Good luck.

I'm a little confused on the issue. If you want to flash roms with GPS you need to be unlocked with Imcokes 2.31 not 0.41 unlocker. Once unlocked you can flash to the stock roms. I flash back to Sprints stock GPS rom all the time. Be careful of flashing from a GPS rom back to a non GPS rom. This could cause some issues.
If you are trying to relock your phone thats a different issue.
EDIT: After rereading. Did you try flashing from a non gps rom to a gps rom or vice versa? Your phone looks to be unlocked with a non-gps unlocker. Is the cricket rom GPS?
When flashing a custom ROM your Vogue needs to be unlock with 2.31 (GPS) or .40 (non GPS). Not too sure about cricket but would assume if you have a radio version of 3.xx.xx would be GPS. Hopefully you have not bricked your Vogue.
You may find more help at ppcgeeks.com or ppchaven.com.
You may have to resort flashing your ROM in the bootloader mode,
SAME PROBLEM with Vogue
I think I have the same problem as the one who started this thread. here is what I did:
I unlocked a Vogue with the non-gps unlocker (SPL-0.41.Coke)
then I loaded a GPS rom onto the phone (OMJ 3.09)
and now it is stuck at the HTC Screen.
I then tried to flash a stock ROM to the phone, but as descreibed above it will not fully load- it stops at 29 percent- tried it a couple times.
I then tried the OMJ 3.09 again and it still stuck in HTC Screen, and says "No radio.'
I am trying to figure out what to do. I was told by someone to load a GPS radio into it and see if it boots. I have the radio to install but not sure if thats best bet.
I was told by someone else to install nongps radio and then install a nongps rom.
One concern I have is that I will brick my phone that way (if i try to downgrade to a nongps radio after installing a gps rom...but im not sure that the gps rom actually installed a gps radio or not cuz my phone was only .41 unlocked)
Also, I cant seem to install a stock rom because it stops at 29 percent.
Any ideas?
Thanks

to anyone else with this problem- I just installed this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=357762
and all was well including radio.
Just thought that I would post what happened to my phone and the steps that eventually recovered it in case it helps somebody else:
My phone was stuck with "No Radio" on the boot loader screen and the SPL as "SPL-2.31.CoKe", but none of the 3.x ROMs would flash properly that I tried. So here are the steps that eventually recovered it (mostly...):
1.) I installed the ROM above from the tri-color screen (power+camera+reset). I still had no radio, but it was letting me past this and booting up to WM.
2.) I then re-flashed the 2.31.CoKe boot loader (not sure if this step is necessary but listing what worked...)
3.) I tried to install RUU_Vogue_VZW_WWE_3.14.605.1_Radio_3.37.78_Ship.exe but it failed at 10% restarting to RUUNBH screen and the installer gave me Error [290]: Invalid Command
4.) I then tried to install the latest sprint ROM straight from the HTC site:_Touch by HTC (Sprint)_RUU_PPST_Vogue_SPRINT_WWE_3.03.651.4_2_Radio_3.42.30_AM_NV_2.04_Ship this looked like it was going to fail at the same part the Verizon rom did as it rebooted at 10% to RUUNBH screen, but the Sprint installer did something (I heard the computer lose and gain connection multiple times) and eventually it went right back and continued on from 11% and finished successfully.
5.) Rebooted and I had a radio now! Rather then risking trying to install the Verizon ROM again I went straight to the custom ROM I had originally started out with: NFSFAN 6.5 V6 which is working fine for me, except the GPS which is what started out my adventure of the last 3 days...
Just a note: for all flashes except the final one I simply waited till it was at the "Tap the screen..." stage till flashing. I never let any ROM but the final one run it's customization.
Hi,
I have tried several ROMs on my desire but none of them is working perfectly.
The only rom that somehow makes it possible to work is dj-droid
Leedroid and Chinese rom kept on crashing
The phone keeps crashing if I use it to much. (run a demanding app like waze or o game)
It even crashed when I use the internet for too long.
All of this made me come to a conclusion that there is something wrong with the hardware (feel free to correct me if I’m wrong)
Now I want to get my phone to his stock condition.
I know that I need to download something called a RUU file.
I found this thread, but I can’t figure which ROM should I D\L.
I suppose it should be something marked as WWE and the numbers are the radio version.
From what I can see my radio version is 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2 (found in setting-> about phone -> Software information Baseband version) is it really the radio or I’m looking at the wrong place?
Can I use any RUU file is there a specific RUU should I D\L because in the thread I found the highs radio version is 32.30.00. If I need a specific ROM can some please point to the right direction.
Also I’ll be happy is some will explain to me what are the steps to install the RUU file, or is it same thing as installing a custom ROM ?
Please feel free to throw any other suggestions that might help to set my desire to it’s proper condition.
Thank in advance
Mark
P.S
I had froyo 2.2 and my HBOOT is 0.93.001
In order to return to stock, just connect the phone to the pc and run the RUU (it's just an exe file). The latest OFFICIAL European rom is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=828519
That will upgrade HBOOT and Radio, you really need that. In case you'll need to get root access, just download unrevoked (google it), but remember to uninstall HTC Sync in case you have it installed before running it.
After rooting, just reflash the rom of your choice and keep the new radio, just don't change it, it's superb.
Hint: before flashing any rom on top of each other, remember to wipe cache, dalvik cache, and user data, so you won't get any crash.
To restore data I suggest MyBackup Pro, gives less issues than Titanium Backup.
You need a gold card to flash anything other than the one that originally came with the phone. Radio is irrelevent

Radio is responsible of many crashes: an old radio not compatible with the camera app gives FCs.
Why would he need a goldcard if he already rooted?? To go back to stock just enter in the bootloader, select fastboot, connect via usb, start the RUU and you're done.
Thanks,
I'll try the attched RUU and update with the result.
BTW
is the there posibility i'll brik my phone during this procedure ?
Oh and i anderstand that i need a goldcard only if my phone is/was branded.
Ok, I managed to restore the phone but after the installation it entered to a boot loop.
I let the phone rest for 2 or 3 minutes and it started up perfectly.
I suspect that if I'll stress my it's get too hot and crushes.
Any suggestion how can I confirm this theory ?
How did you get it out that boot loop? Resting? Did you take out the battery or smth?
Yes,
I had to to that several time before the phone started to work.

If the OP has a branded phone and wants to flash a stock unbranded RUU you need a gold card. Radio is irrelevent in the flashing of an RUU as you get the correct radio for the ROM included in it
I am just asking because I am trying to flash the Rooted , A2SD+ version of this ROM and after flash it just keeps looping (when the little green android logo appears and the phone vibrates) and does that on and on and on. Maybe I have to wait more.
Which ROM have you come from? IF it wasn't a Sense-based ROM you'll have to do a full wipe before booting

I came from exactly this one (latest OTA). It was rooted and as clockwork recovery did not work , I flashed Amonra. I did a full wipe, I formatted the SD card and then partitioned it, I did everything from scrap. I am almost certain I am missing astep or smth. Phone shows S-ON, maybe amonra doesnt get read of Security...?? I am not very good at this stuff, but any other ROM I flash works, except for the latest OTA (rooted and with A2SD- there is a post here on the forum containing it).
OR you mean a full wipe AFTER flashing, and before the first boot??
Chapter 2 – Return of the Desire
Hi again
First of all I want to thank you all for your assistance I had no problem to activate the warranty.
It seems that the constant reboot issue was a know issue of the A8181 series so my original phone was sent to HTC.
Finely I got the phone back and according to what I've been told it's a new device.
When I tried to use the phone I noticed that the APN settings were not transformed from the SIM card to the phone
(did not had that problem before I shipped the phone).
I tried to ran the RUU I used before and It seemed like I'm also going to gain an upgrade from 2.10.405.2 to 2.29.405.2 .
With a heart full of joy I'm pressing the next button and when the status bar reaches the "updating signature" I get the " Error [131] customer ID" error.
Noting I do seems to help fixing the problem.
I managed to root the phone, I flashed the LeeDroid rom, but i still can't run the RUU.
Any suggestions how do I fix the problem ?
I don't think my phone is branded as I bought an online store and from my provider.
Thanks in advance

RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.2_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_151783_signed.
Also i see notification on that tells me that it is safe to remove my SD card.
Can you access your sdcard on your phone?
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
nope,
can't access it at all
I think that's your problem then.
Have tried removing it, cleaning the contacts etc?
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
I think i messed the card in the proccess of making it a GC
The phone keeps telling me that it's sage to remove it
I dont have this problem when i insert my ap2sd card
try reformatting / remaking your goldcard.

Hello,
A few days ago, HTC launched the official bootloader unlock for the DHD. I did this proces to unlock it and after the proces i used Ace Hack Kit to get root, Clockwork Recovery etc. I tried to flash a custom rom(yes, i wiped cache), but it freezes on the HTC logo. Then, i tried with Recovery to do something, like: format /sdcard...
But now it doesn't do anything except freezing on the HTC Logo. When i try to install a custom rom, i know it's installed. Because when i make a back-up with the PC I see a lot of file names.
I don't know what to do? The only thing what is working right now is the recovery...
PS. Additional information for u people
HBOOT-2.00.0029
Radio-26.14.04.28_M
And it has S-ON
Before this whole situation is was updated to the latest version.
I have some new information, I have an Official Unlocked Bootloader but no Root. S-ON and there is no working ROM on the phone... There is also no back-up... I hope u guys can help me
You need to wipe data, cache and dalvik cache then flash Rom. You don't wipe data and cache only when upgrading the same rom but even then it can cause issues. You always wipe dalvik cache though.
Not sure how long you're waiting but when I flashed ARHD and also opted and ended up with CoreDroid, at first when I did ARHD, the HTC logo after the update and reboot, the phone stayed at the HTC logo for approx. 10 mins. Guides don't mention how long you have to wait, but I almost tried to reboot and eventually decided to walk away and come back in 10 mins and the lockscreen and desktop was there.
If you've waited more than 15 mins, then I'd say you have a problem.
I've wiped data, cache and dalvik cache. Then I flashes a custom ROM (Android Revolution). But it still freezes on the HTC logo, u guys said to wait 10 min. I'm already waiting 30 minutes and it doesnt do anything...

What happens when you first flash the superwipe script from the Android Revolution HD thread?
I did the super wipe and then i flashes Android Revolution HD, its still freezes on the HTC logo
Maybe you didn't root properly since your radio is still S-ON. Try again with AAHK. I had a similar issue where the phone would not go past the boot screen. I would suggest you remove the SD, delete everything and format on your PC, put it back then try AAHK. Just read a LOT about it before you brick the phone.

Try flashing the "Set CPU clock back to 1.0 GHz" script from the ARHD first post. A small number of CPUs don't like the modest overclock in the ROM - this script sets the CPU to stock speed.
Boot into Recovery, re-flash the ROM, them immediately flash the "Set_to_default_1GHz.zip" file without rebooting. Once it's flashed, now try booting your phone.
I can't promise it will solve your problem, but it's the most common cause of phones getting stuck at the splash screen. Always assuming you haven't flashed any other mods after the ROM...
If that fails, mostly likely you need to re-run AAHK, but as said above, I'd suggest reading up to see how AAHK works on phones with the official unlock. You've said that the ROM flashed okay, but you've also said you're S-ON, so I'm not entirely sure what state your phone is in...
Maybe it's better to ask it first in the AAHK irc channel. The fact that the phone still has radio s-on indicates that de AAHK did not complete succesfully.
Actually I think the OP unlocked the bootloader with the HTC tool and then only installed CWM with AAHK. After that he just wiped the phone but because it still has radio s-on en no root it is now impossible to install any custom rom.
I think you're right about asking in the AAHK IRC.
However I thought the official HTC bootloader unlock removed security on some of the nand partitions.
As long as you have a custom recovery and S-Off, surely you don't need root to flash a ROM - root exists inside the Android OS, and you can flash a ROM onto a phone with the system partition wiped and no OS installed at all.
You need a form of S-Off to flash a custom ROM, otherwise the system partition is protected. The official unlock leaves security on the radio and SIM lock, so it still says "S-On" in the bootloader screen, but security is removed from some partitions. Whether the official bootloader unlock process removes security from enough partitions is another question. The HTC site says boot, system, and recovery, and AFAIK those and data are all ARHD writes to.
Having said all that, I don't claim to be an expert, and have never used the Hack Kit myself. So yes, probably best to ask the experts.
You're right about the root, that is something in de Android OS. You only need to have root it in the common methodes so you are able to get S-off from inside the Android OS. However I don't know either how the AAHK works exactly, what I know is that you normally use it with the stock rom still up and running...

I tried this, but it didn't work, i'm now gonna try the AAHK again
If that still doesn't work - ik222 says you might need to have Android running for it to work properly - I would flash an RUU and start again from scratch. The RUU will restore the entire phone to HTC official firmware.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19101263#post19101263
Choose any WWE version, 3.12.405.1 is the very latest, or 1.72.405.3 is easy to root. Don't bother with the HTC unlock tool, just run the AAHK.

You succesfully locked the bootloader as they said in support? Normally AAHK should do everything itself so that error shows that something is still not right...
They said in the support, that the hack only will work when the bootloader is locked. But i cant lock it...
i dont know exactly whats happened here, but i've tried to get my WFS sorted with a different rom than the carriers bloated version.
what i've done is updated hboot to 1.08.0099 and unlocked the boot loader sucessfully (hboot has *** UNLOCKED *** across the top; i used the HTCDEV.com process).
i believe i've got permanent root too.
when i attempt to flash CWM (via PG76IMG.zip), it appears to flash ok, but if i reboot the phone and try to access recovery, it just gets stuck on a white HTC screen.
i've redownloaded the CWM file to see if it's a corrupt download, but still the same problem.
CWM isnt a big issue, although it is nice to have.
however i also am unable to flash another rom either via the PG76IMG.zip SD method, or RUU.
i beleive i've done everything right, and i'm not entirely new to unlocking/rooting devices; only did my HTC Desire last week so the general process is still new in my head.
If your rooted install rom manager and flash recovery from there.
I had problems installing cwm from sd, so used the tool from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1431969

Greetings everyone, I am here requesting help to get a functional ROM working on my PrimoC. Up until now I've just been a XDA lurker
Just got my Htc One V on Virgin Mobile, and of course my first thought is to root it and see what kinda Roms there were for it. I succesfully unlocked the HBOOT and rooted the phone. Now here's where it went south, I tried the Slim Bean 3.1 rom first which got stuck at the bootscreen. Got bored, and decided to try a different rom. I forget which, it's been a few days. Anyways every subsequent rom has not gotten past the HTC - Quetly Brilliant screen.
Now before I hear something about it. I made a backup with TWRP Recovery, which also got stuck at the Quietly yada screen. What's up with that?
Now here's what I've tried.
RUU won't work, I've tried both flashing the boot.img, recovery.img, system.img, as well as loading onto my sd card the PK76IMG.zip method. I know I have the correct RUU. If there's a better one it's nowhere to be seen.
-The PK76IMG.zip, which it only attempts to use with the recovery_signed.img found in the ruu, says
PREVIOUS VERSION. FAILED.
while attempting to flash the system.img through fastboot I also get a FAILEData Length Too Large.
For some reason the stock ROM is no help either, leaving me at the same HTC screen as most other roms.
Any ideas or have I finally permabricked a phone?
Thanks for any help.:good:
EDIT: To make this obvious, at this time, I can access HBOOT and Recovery at this time.

You're soft bricked. If you did OTA update to latest version of VM firmware, there is no RUU for that at this moment. For flashing ROMs, have you remembered to flash the kernel?
