In preparation of Skyraider 4.0, are there any Sense Kernels with fast charge?
Thanks in advance.

I haven't tested his sense kernel, but his GB kernel is amazing in pretty much every respect. The fast charging with it is insane. Best kernel out there ASAIC
Lou's kernels charge fast.
The stock kernel as well I do believe.

The stock kernel 2.6.32.17 that came out 9/30/10 has fast charge and any kernels based off of it will.
i am using virtuous kernal #3 and rom v3.2.0 and i could not beleive how fast it charges, well coming from stock anyway.
i am rather new to all this so have not tried a lot of different ones, but compare to stock these charge in no time.
Lou kernel in my dinc. Charges from 0 to 100 in under 2 hours. Is that fast enough?
I haven't played with too many roms or kernels, but the Skyraider rom charges pretty quick.

just curious what rom/kernel combo everyone is using ??? i'm currently using skyraider 3.3 with KK#5 pretty happy with it but of course i like to experiment with different combos, so if anyone has any suggestions please send em my way......
thanks
I've been using the redemptive rom with kxk's 5, but after the latest redemption rom2.1.0 with the latest stock kernel, and it's pretty amazing

what do you like about it ??
I'm using virtuous 3.1 with the new stock kernel and its nice and the charging is so fast. Finally throwing .it on a charger for ten minutes before leaving actually helps

I'm using Ruby 1.1.1 with Adrynalyne's battery_aosp kernel. I've been getting great battery life and excellent stability with this combo.

i just installed virtuous 3.1 and am using the custom kernel for battery life, haven't messed with it much yet but everyone seems to like this combo!!
VVVVVVVVVVVV And I am pretty happy with it so far.

+1. I've run Redemption R-EVO-lution, Shadow, Skyraider, the New Guy, Feather, and Ultimate Droid - all with varying kernels.
I am happiest with Redemption Rom 2.1 with the stock kernel. It's fast, stable, and has superb battery life.
Virtuous 3.1 w/ custom kernel and SetCPU.
In love!

Haven't flashed a different radio.
Skyraider seems nice, only tried Vanilla but I like what I've got right now and haven't felt the need to try much else.
Only bug I've noticed is sometimes, I can't boot all the way, hangs at the red droid eye, so I batt pull and it boots just fine the second time.
MIUI With Ziggy AOSP. 1700+ quad plus great batt life. No setcpu required...
Would anyone care to post their Rom and kernel combo that gives the best battery life? I am curious to know, outside of buying a bigger battery.

I use virtuous 3.1 with Chad's 12/8 kernel and its pretty awesome for me. Great battery life with really good performance.

CM 6.1 (nightlies) with InvisibleK kernel... I don't spend all day playing with my phone, but I use it regularly and I only need to charge it every other night.
im using myns 2.2 rls4 with chads 12/8 kernel and i like it a lot. it flies and i underclocked it to 768 (setcpu). with no redflags. and it lasts forever. thats my situation. hope it helps
I'm using "Hey It's Lou's" Redemption Rom 2.2 with his #4 Kernel, it's all very smooth, and I am a moderate user, and get a full day without charging, which is longer than I ever used to get, so I'm happy with it. Hope this helps

so, i get a hair up my butt every couple weeks or so and load up a new rom. there are certainly some good ones out there (thanks to all you coders!). but i always wind up going back to stock. between the features of sense and the stability and the non-fc's, it just seems to work best for me.
but, if i could eek a little more performance out of the stock rom, i wouldn't say no to that. so, can anyone recommend a kernel that runs well on the stock rom (no fc's!) and can get me a little more oomph? there seems to be quite a few, and instead of trial and error, i thought someone here might know...
thx!

I think he meant stock as in Sense, not Vanilla/AOSP.
thx, guys. yes, I did mean the stock rom w/sense.

I am using Inc-Re-Engineered, and so far, I love it. So much faster, completely customizable, and all around kickass.
I would recommend it to anyone.
thx for the suggestion, cleveratticus. not really what i was asking, though...
i have the same question, i dont want to flash a new rom if i can get good kernel that might extend battery life. ive been looking a while and it looks like i might have to finally try the heyitslou kernel
HeyItsLou's #8 never fails me on stock sense/Redemption. Ever.
Awesome battery life, smooth as butter.
ya, but i need multi-touch. well, maybe i dont NEED it, but i want it for games and such

Then try his #7... it supports 3-10 multi touch. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=859337
what does 3-10 multi touch mean?? also, are any of these able to be overclocked by setcpu?
it means you can use from 3 to 10 fingers simultaneously.
okay, cool. i got lou's #9 installed and running. thx for the tip, tim.ton.

None of Lou's custom kernels are meant to be overclocked, as far as I know.
If you're looking for one that does, try one of Ziggy's.

I personally like Chad's incredikernals. Great battery and oc'd to 1113
The most stable kernel and best on battery that I have used is the virtuous custom kernel (v3). It has worked great with several roms I have used.
Im running chads 12/23 kernel for sense and it gives me great battery life (which for me is 16-20 hours) and im running magnolia 1.1.1 rom

+1 ...his kernels rock with sense and battery life!!!
Lou's #9 has given best battery life for me on virtuous, redemptive, and warm 2.2 roms. Quadrants scores are also on par if not better with it
not to take anything away from lou or his work, but that kernel wound up not working well for me; lots of hangs and fc's. went back to the stock kernel today and everything is *****en! thx to all for your input.
Looking for the best possible battery life kernel for Myn's Warm 2.2. I know I'm gonna use sbc, but not sure what kernel to use. I've been using AOSP and never messed looked into sense kernels.
Netarchys sbc

I really like my dinc, yet it has been running slow and the battery life drains quickly. I was wondering if there's anything like a mod out there to make it fast such as a CPU overclock for dinc or V6 supercharger script which tweaks up the ram memory. I am running miui 2.1.2 GB
I haven't been around lately so I don't know if there's something new out there that can make dinc fast.

Not trying to do a plug right now or anything but my ROM is very quick and responsive. If you're really attached to MIUI, though, you should look around for incredible kernels compatible with MIUI. I was going to suggest Tiny's Incredikernel but I don't think any of his will work. I don't have time to look into it right now but I will update this comment with more info when I have a minute to search around.

Incredikernel was originally chads but there is an AOSP GB version. Also look for my gingertiny thread for GB sense support.

There isn't an incredikernel compatible with MIUI, though, is there?
I thought MIUI GB used the CM kernel. I've used incredikernel on MIUI GB before.

I was just guessing because the website says AOSP only, and MIUI is heavily modded from AOSP
What is this incredikernel?

Pardon my laziness but this is incredikernel: http://www.incredikernel.com/
To elaborate, a kernel is an element of the OS that does all of the communication between applications and the hardware components. The more efficient your kernel is, the more battery life and performance you will get out of your device. Incredikernel, specifically, is a kernel that chad/tiny developed for our beloved incredible.

MIUI is still an AOSP ROM, heavily modified though it may be, and the AOSP incredikernel works on it. I used incredikernel on GB MIUI way back when before ICS was released. The Gingertiny kernels are for sense-based ROMs, the Incredikernels are for AOSP-based ROM's. They're excellent kernels, and support cool stuff like overclocking, undervolting, USB fast charging, etc. I highly recommend them. You'd want the latest Gingerbread (AOSP) kernel for MIUI GB.
V6 Supercharger also works on the dinc, I never used that with MIUI though.
I recommend Pons's cm10 nightlies which is now being compiled by Tiny(he has his own thread). Its super quick and extremely functional. I havent had a single FC or crash or anything. My phone is 50% supercharged from v6 supercharger(because last time I modded the services.jar I had to restore from nandroid) and its super smooth. I am very happy with it and my DINC works faster than my roomate's htc onex.
Thank you guys, for all your support. After flashing the latest incredikernel for gb, I feel like it's running smoother than before.
