According to Seidio's online store their Innocase is now shipping. Innocase is well reviewed for other phones. Anyone have comments on their new Droid 2 version?
Otterbox is coming out with one soon, its posted on the website. I'm excited for that. I honestly prefer Otterbox over Innocase.

Was gonna buy the seidio, till I saw the otterbox case... now I don't know which to get
Innocase on the way
The Otterbox case seems similar to Innocase i.e. polycarbonate shell with a thin rubber-like coating to aid gripping. I already have a screen protector in place (and a spare) so I didn't need it (included with Otterbox).
Other cases I read about had issues with the slide keyboard. Either the case interfered with sliding or it was thick enough to block some of the top row of keys.
I went ahead and ordered the Innocase combo..... Innocase plus belt holster. Should arrive in a few days. I will post my impressions of the case.

yeah, I tried one of the verizon OEM cases, and it definitly hindered the opening of the keyboard, and the top row. Enough so that I have serious doubts about whether any case will not have this problem.
Also I've had the misfortune to already drop my phone (albeit short drop), and whatever the material that surrounds the screen is EXTREMELY brittle, and shattered off a fair number of chunks.
That being said, I think I'll probably just wait on a case until perhaps my phone starts "having lots of problems" a week or so before the warranty is up and I have to get a replacement one.

Let us know if it fits the OEM multimedia cradle please (if you have one).. I'm dying for a good case that fits the cradle and doesn't hinder the keyboard like most of the hard shell ones i've tried (including the VZW and some cheapo ebay one)....

It does not fit the cradle--between me and my 2 coworkers we have been thou 6 or so different cases and this is def the best one so far. No interference with the keyboard slide either, if the case was any thinner it would fall apart.

I may have to take my dremel to the cradle
Assessment of the Seidio Innocase
I bought my Innocase via Seidio on-line store. The process was easy and shipped the same day via FedEx. I purchased the combo of the case and holster. However, Henry Ford must have been the design consultant for the D2 case. Unlike cases for the iPhone, you can have any color as long as it’s black. My wife reports that this is so BORING!
The case is made of a polycarbonate that is coated with a thin non-slip rubber-like material to improve gripping the phone. The case is only about 1/16 inch thick. The Innocase comes in 2 pieces that attach to the lower (sliding) and upper (display) portions of the phone with very small tabs that grip the edges. Though very small, these tabs secure the case well. Installation is a snap . I can report that the Innocase does not interfere with sliding mechanism in any way. Cutouts are provided for all phone items such as power connector, headphone jack, microphone, speaker, volume control, camera, power switch etc. The case does remove easily for access to the battery/ microSd.
Regarding operation of the slide out keyboard; I have found no difficulties. The D2 (without case) has less than 1/8 inch space above the top row of keys. The Innocase uses a minimum amount of this space. I found that even with my fat thumbs I had no difficulty (i.e. no missed or erroneous key presses) using the upper row of keys. In fact if I slipped my thumb up against the edge of the case I was positioned right over the top row keys.
Seidio has 2 holsters available; non-cased devices and Innocase devices. I have the Innocase holster. The holster is well built and provides a secure belt attachment. The belt clip swivels allowing vertical, 45-degree or horizontal carrying of the phone. To secure the phone you slip it in on the bottom and snap the clip on the top. The top clip is offset so it does not interfere with headset & power switch if you clip in with the screen facing in. The inward facing screen is recommended to reduce screen scratch risks. The holster is felt lined to protect the screen.
In summary I am very happy with the Innocase and belt holster. They are well designed and constructed. I recommend them for anyone with a Droid 2.
I do not own a cradle. I notice Seidio has a cradle for the Droid that works with Innocase. I would call them and see if the same cradle will work with the D2 & Innocase.
Thanks for the reviews. Sounds like the best case out there for sure.
Would you mind posting some pictures when you get a chance please? The pics on the seidio site are pretty weak. thanks!
Case and holster photos
Not much to look at
Case back shows cutouts for camera, speaker and USB power. Dull black exterior finish. Case front (not shown) is even less to look at, just a big cut for the screen.
Case tab picture shows a close up of the small tab that clicks onto the phone to secure the case. 4 places on both back and front halves. The shining finish evident in this photo is the interior of the case.
Holster picture shows the support for the bottom of the phone (on left of photo). The clip on the right secures the top of the phone and allows easy removal. On the bottom of the photo is the belt clip.
Hope these help.
I bought the Seidio surface case after finding the el-cheapo snap-on case I bought from an Amazon marketplace seller to be too bulky. The Seidio is no less bulky and was not even as well designed as the cheapo one (which afforded better access to the bottom row of soft buttons). I returned it to Seidio (out my $5 shipping, which was more than the entire cost of the cheapo one), and think it's unconscionable that they charge $30 for these two bits of plastic.
BTW, I have since tried one of the soft gel style cases for the A955 that they sell on ebay -- the kind with the "track slider" that keeps the two gell halves together (sort of like a ziplock plactic channel). This contraption was a completely useless mess, which fortunately only set me back $3 including shipping.
Ultimately, I think the D2 is a relatively thick device that really cannot accomodate a case without becoming way too thick. Thankfully, I've come to realize that it doesn't need a case - it already has Gorilla class and a rubberized back. Why bother with more? Mine's been dropped a few times with no signs of the drop at all except to the chrome paint around the edges, which flakes off easily.
Do you have a pic with it on the phone?
I wanted something along these lines:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003YD0TT2
(Two piece snap on hard shell, but with soft-touch rubberized coating. Something that protects and adds grippiness, but doesn't add much in the way of bulk.)
I figured between that kind of case and a screen protector, I'd feel okay about just tossing the A100 in a bag. I really want to keep it a pick-up-and-go device (like a smartphone or an iPod touch...no unzipping, or unlatching and folding, or whatever required).
Unfortunately, 7-inch tablets haven't saturated the market enough to attract a whole lot of accessory manufacturer interest.
Soo, in the hopefully short meantime, I opted for a cheap neoprene sleeve until someone offers a case like the one above or one like I had on my Transformer (http://goo.gl/uQwTk), which was actually exceptionally nice.
Anyway, here's the sleeve I bought:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005FJ7XTC
Should arrive between the 1st and 4th, so pictures and a review then.
Try one of these, it's hard shelled and protects the device well. Cheap, too!

Great case for A100
I purchased this case about a month ago. It was sent from China so it takes at least 3 weeks to arrive .
After a week of break in period the case feels great to the hands. The leather used on the outside of the case acquires a nice soft feel and has NO leather smell like the Acer smelly case.
All ports and buttons are accessible and the A100 hold firmly in the case with no screen visibility restrictions.
The case open steno style as opposed to book style in the portrait screen position.
As a bonus they also include a very nice NON glare screen protector.
$16.95 with free shipping....it's a great deal.

Is that because I'm old?
Hello all,
I bought a Cellet ProGuard case for my HTC One M7, and thought I would post my thoughts about it.
BACKGROUND:
I was searching for a rugged, waterproof case for the HTC One M7.
Since there are no "daily use" type waterproof cases for the HTC One M7 (yet), I decided to order an "Aqua Box" Marine Mount from Ram Mounts.
Ram Mounts makes true professional grade mounts and cases for almost everything. If you see a cop drive by... that computer in the car is Iikely mounted with ram mounts. I had used their products before for mounting ground penetrating radar systems in a vehicle, and also for mounting GPSes in my own vehicles.
It's not a "Daily use" option, but the Aqua Box will protect my HTC One while using it as a marine navigation tool or during wilderness canoeing.
For a daily use case I came up with 2 options.
1) Otter Box Defender combined with the Spigen Glass.tr screen protector.
This seems to be the best, easily obtained, option for a rugged case IMO. The Otterbox screen protector is a bit of a pain since dirt easily gets between the screen and the protector, but removing that and using the Spigen glass protector should make it a good solution.
Cost: Around $95 full price for both.
2) The Cellet Proguard combined with the same Spigen Glas.TR
This option was a trade off on extreme ruggedness vs rugged with a good price.
Cost: $50 for both
Until I recently got an AMAZING deal on a otter box defender... I decided on option 2.
I bought the Cellet case. Used the case for a while and had no complaints about it.
Review
The Cellet Proguard consists of a rubber internal case with a hard plastic outer.
When installed, the internal rubber case fits tightly around the HTC One and allows access to all the buttons and ports, without covering the IR blaster/power switch.
It has a wraparound raised edge, to protect the screen, similar to other devices.
While the lip is not as tall as the otter box defender, and is only rubber, it looks like it would provide good protection when the phone is face down on a table or other normal use.
The lip fits tightly against the glass, and was able to prevent potato chip salt from getting between the case and the phone, during a real world testing.
The rubber section over the volume buttons, actually improved their ease of use compared to the bare phone.
The hole where the USB connector is, is a bit small for ease of plugging the cable in.
(I used an exacto knife to gently trim a tiny amount off the hole so that my both my usb cables would fit)
The external plastic case portion is of a slightly softer plastic than the otterbox defender.
While the plastic section doesn't completely cover the rubber internal section, it's mesh design allows the rubber to improve grip on the phone.
The external dimensions are close to the otterbox defender, while slightly thinner in thickness.
All said and done, the case is well made, fits the phone well, and should provide decent protection.
When you combine that with a market price of $12 to $15, the cellet case is a fantastic bargain in my opinion.
I bought mine at Bestbuy in Canada, but evidently it's available on amazon, and at Frys and other places in the USA
I can't post links yet.. so just do a web search for "Cellet-321255-Armor-Proguard-Case" or "Cellet HTC One Case" and you will see what it looks like.
Hope this helps someone.
Hi,
im am also looking for a solution for my HTC One to mount on my VFR800.
Since the battery runs out quite quicly while using GPS, it also needs cable management.
Haven't been able to find anything to this moment.
The best Moto X accesories
Hyperion Matte TPU Case-is the perfect budget-friendly case for the Moto X. All of the cutouts match the camera and flash, speaker grill, mic, charging port, headphone jack, and Motorola emblem perfectly, while the case itself doesn’t feature any company branding, which is a big plus for many. The raised edges on the front of the phone take care of the screen from face down drops, and the inclusion of a screen protector is a nice addition for even more display protection. The case also adds only minimal bulk to the smartphone, and is aesthetically pleasing, being available in various color options. While a simple and standard TPU case, it’s still a great buy at a price point of $7.99 on Amazon.

And the reason you posted this is.....?
The title of the thread makes no sense with the content and you copied and pasted a product's description with no explanation.

I didn't see any information on here on the Nite Ize Clip Case Sideways XL (that's really the product name), so I'd thought I post a quick review.
First, a link to the manufacturer's website and an Amazon.com page:

Carrying my Nexus 5 - wrapped in an Ionic Guardian case - in my pocket just doesn't work. The phone is just too damn big. Wearing standard 4-pocket jeans, I doubt that I would be able to sit down with the phone in any of the pockets, and a set of keys would probably tear the face of the phone up. I will not wear a fanny pack, no matter how fashionable they are. Short of having a tailor sew an extra cargo pocket on all my trousers and shorts, I needed to find a better solution.
The Nite Ize Sideways XL definitely fits the Nexus 5 WITH the Ionic cover. It's a horizontal-carry only case. The case has elastic sewn-in the ends to check to the phone's horizontal movement; the phone lightly touches these stops, and horizontally it's a good fit. the vertical height of the case is about 1/4" (7mm) proud with the phone in and the velcro closure (more on that in a bit) centered; the case could be a 1/4" vertically shorter for a perfect fit, but there is some adjustment in the closure, so I can live with it. This case will probably fit most, if not all, Nexus 5 protective covers.
Features:
Colors: Black (purchased), Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity (for dance night, I guess), and Espresso (a dark brown fabric with black trim).
Construction: The fabric appears to be ballistic nylon with faux-leather accents. There's an thin internal pocket on the clip-side of the case that can readily accept credit cards, identification cards, folded currency, etc. The exterior ballistic nylon is backed internally by soft fabric; the case covers the phone completely. The case appears very durable and protective for the phone. With the "lid" of the case closed, the case is locked "solid".
Clip: A fairly wide black plastic clip. It will easily fit a 2" (5 cm) belt. As previously stated this is a horizontal-only case; the clip doesn't rotate. One advantage of the fixed clip is that it creates a much thinner clip. The clip has a hook on the bottom; once it snaps over a belt, it stays put. I've had to fish my other cases (with phones in them) from the seats of cars and chair cushions because the act of sitting-down pushed the case up and off my belt when carried on the small of my back; no issue here.
Closure: Hook-and-loop (Velcro). Either you love Velcro, or you hate it. The folks I know who carry gear on their belts (military, police, rescue workers, corrections officers, etc.) swear by Velcro. I can live with it, it's just a little loud sometimes. It's probably not as loud as my annoying ringtone, so most people never hear the holster opening.
Cost: $13.49 (US), and free Super-Saver shipping.
Gripes: Not really any major gripes. One (minor) gripe would be the lack of a cutout on the bottom of the case so the wearer can push the phone up when pulling the phone from the case. The case is designed to protect the phone, so I can't blame the manufacturer. With the elastic sides and flexible ballistic nylon construction, I can slide my fingers between the interior wall of the case and the phone and pull the phone out of the case easily enough, so it's not really an issue.
Final thoughts: Nite Ize has a good reputation for making tough gear. Read reviews for any of their products; customers love the build quality and durability. It's one of the few options for carrying a hybrid-cased Nexus 5.
