Any ideas anyone
i paired my phone with the bluetooth in the car, but can't upload the phonebook into the car.
it says "importing phonebook," then "loading phonebook," then stays on "loading phonebook" forever - even after i turn the car off and on and disconnect the phone from the bluetooth.
i just bought the incredible 2 and i have a nissan altima and on my last phone (blackberry tour) i would connect my phone through bluetooth in my car. Now it connects fine no problem but everytime i get a notification my phone no longer goes through the speaker in my car but my phone still says im connected through bluetooth.
and only way to get it back is to turn it off and sync back up again and pray i don't get a notification.
Any ideas?
Hey everyone,
I have a Sony aftermarket deck in my car that I connect to via Bluetooth on my GN (also used to use my Nexus S, Droid Incredible). I have had the same issue with all my phones (a friends iphone doesn't have the issue) and the deck, which is when I turn Bluetooth on in my phone, sometimes it will auto connect, other times it won't.
When it will not connect I have to cycle the Bluetooth on/off a few times then go into settings and keep clicking the deck players name to get it to keep trying to connect.
Anyone else ever encounter this and if so, how did you solve it?
Thanks
I had this issue too (Nexus One to my Kenwood DNX-8120). The way I get mine to always connect is to start BT BEFORE you start your car's radio. Then, it should auto-connect without any problems. I've been doing this method now for about a year without ever having a problem if I go that route.
If you still have troubles and don't want to turn your phones BT on and off, try turning BT on on your phone, but turn your stereo off and back on.
Hope that helps!
I have used my SGS3 for a while now with the built-in bluetooth phone connection in my car. The first time I used it I had to go through the pairing process, ever since then it automatically connects as soon as I turn on the car. I don't have to touch anything, as long as I have bluetooth turned on it connects.
So, I added a Logitech bluetooth audio receiver to the car http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Speaker-Bluetooth-980-000540/dp/B004VM1T5S
This unit paired with the phone fine, and remembers the pairing. Only problem is every time I turn it on, I have to go to the bluetooth menu on the phone and tap the entry for the logitech adapter to get it to connect. It's a few more steps that I'd like to make this work.
Can anyone suggest a way to my phone to auto connect this pairing?
I know it's uncool to bump your own post, but really........nobody?
Really unsure but try deleting the device from your phone reboot and pair again. All I can think of.

I have the same problem and I have not been able to solve the problem. I am using a Blackberry Bluetooth Stereo Gateway. It would auto connect just fin to my Evo 4G. It will not auto connect on the SIII. If I look at the Bluetooth settings I will see it briefly show Connecting before dropping off when I power up the gateway. It has been this way since I got the SIII. I have only tried the stock ROMs. I am thinking about trying an AOSP ROM to see if it makes a difference.
