[Q] Max music volume is not loud enough - G2 and Desire Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everybody,
Not that I'm deaf, but I find max volume to not be loud enough while I'm listening to music on earphones - it's definitely nowhere near as loud as my standalone media players.
Is there any way to boost the maximum media volume on my Desire Z? Or perhaps is there an application I can use to adjust max volume above the Desire Z's max volume setting?
Any help would be fantastic!

Are you rooted? If so you can install DSP manager as has already been mentioned. You could also try out PowerAMP, it has it's own equilizer. It's a paid app in the market but it doesn't require root.

+1 for power amp

Media volume booster

Is there an mod out app that can increase the volume when playing media such as netflix?

Power amp or dsp manager to raise the overall audio.
The setting in dsp manage says speaker volume but only has presets for the equalizer. Do I just fiddle with that and test it?

I use DSP manager to boost the volume of podcasts all the time. Just turn on the equalizer and slide all the green bars as high as they will go. It is much louder.
Also, just be careful, doing this makes all things through the phone speaker much louder, so if you already have a loud ringer it will crackle. It may be possible to blow the speaker.
DSP manager ftw.

I don't even mess with the equalizer. I set it to the Rock preset and enabled bass boost, Strength: Slight, and mine is WAY louder

[Q] any way to increase volume?

Anyone know a way to increase system volume? It's too low even at full volume. I can't hear calls or text messages.

Bluetooth volume level

When I connect my Bluetooth headset my audio level is not very high. Anyway to boost this? The few apps I did try just put in a slider volume control and didn't really boost the level.

No ideas?

I haven't noticed volume issues with a bluetooth headset... could it be a problem specific to the headset you're using?
I have an app called Volume+ from the market, the free version works with bluetooth and boosts it slightly. Also this latest rom I'm on Wicked Sensations seems to have louder output all around than a stock rom.

PowerAmp volume problem

Ever since android 4.2 came out poweramp hasn't worked properly on my nexus, no matter what ROM I'm using. I've always had the direct volume control option selected in the program and haven't had issues before. But on 4.2 with that enabled whenever I first open up poweramp the music plays loud but when I change the song the volume gets real low and stays that way. So I have to turn the volume real high. Problem with that is the next time I open the app and listen to music the first song is deafeningly loud and the volume goes down once I skip the track. This problem doesn't happen if I disable direct volume control in the app but when you do that the audio quality becomes terrible. Anyone have a solution?

Galaxy note 2 volume level

Hi guys,
How does everyone find the volume level with headphones? I find the galaxy s3 is far too loud on volume 1 to listen to. On my s2 I use fine volume control, but I hear it doesn't work on the s3 on jelly bean. Does it work on the note 2? Does siyah kernel work? As can reduce the volume in ex tweaks. Trying to work out which phone to buy, but they all seem too loud! Have tried different headphones too, and same issue. Thanks a lot guys

well of course kernel is neat, however I wouldn suggest volume boost. That comes with speaker buzzes. Anyway, stock is pretty loud tho.
if you're trying to reduce the volume, user poweramp for your music, then go into the equaliser, and drop the master volume amplifier (the adjustable bar on the far left) to the lowest setting to reduce the volume further.
alternatively, download any equaliser app and drop the master volume or drop all the eq frequencies to reduce the overall volume.
Thanks, power amp is indeed quieter. Just wish that it would work with dsp manager...

Why would you use dsp manager when poweramp has the best equalizer out there
Dafuq u r buying a phone just for a smaller volume level?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
No but it's a big factor for me. Power amp is ok, but to my ear dsp manager is noticeably better. I've bought some new headphones, not inner ear and this has helped with my issue greatly. Seems inner ears may just be too sensitive for android. Neutron with my new black box headphones seems perfect. Still looking at the note 2. Thanks for the help everyone, that Perseus kernel is really handy, as I still need to be Able to reduce the volume level in extweaks or something similar to minimum.
