Easy people.
Just so everyone's aware Mark has put his HD2 English pack up for the official MIUI from China.
I'm not going to post a direct link because I think people should actually go over to his site and support it from there...
http://www.miui-dev.com/roms/
Current Version MIUI 1.4.8 (Based on 2.3.3)
HD2 is at the bottom of that list.
Most developers on here are getting their english packs from this site and then merging them with the Chinese ROMS, some are even putting it up with no reference to Mark or his hard work (which I'm fairly sure is against the rules)
So, please support Marks site as it in turn supports all the amazing ROMS which spring up on here every week.
Peas,
Crin
Well done!!
I was just going to write the same thread.. xD

It's well work, but we wait multi pack....
I agree that the miui-dev.com do a good job to bring us a MIUI for our phones and markhuk do a good job over there.
Only problem is that the support for HD2 over there is very poor.
Reason is cos he doesn't have a HD2 phone. He own a Nexus One & Nexus S !
So most of his hard work go into this devices and not to HD2 !
So if any1 want a real support for HD2 its have to come back here anyway.

Granted the support isn't as great over there as it's a less popular site but that's beside the point. I was simply highlighting that the language packs come from a source that is rarely credited.

Hi
is there something like cooliris
http://cooliris.com/
for touch HD , i know that on symbian something like that is. It would be really fantastic to have something like that
that would be pretty cool...
Yes indeed, would be very cool! They have an iPhone version, so I think it is possible to have one on HD as well...
Best way is ask cooliris 4 this App
BTW it is very cool and worked on all my PC´s
I just did!
http://developer.cooliris.com/dev_forum/?CategoryID=8
Maybe all people on this forum who want a version for the HD can support me on this question by replying and stating they would have one too!
good idea - I support u today in the afternoon (I forgotten my login PW)

I got your back bro!
Got response from the Cooliris team:
Thanks guys, great to hear your enthusiasm! We're actively working to extend Cooliris to a variety of different platforms - check our website for news as we develop new apps!

I hope this is no standard response and there really do something 4 my HD/WM.
With all the work this community has gone into getting Android to work on the TP2/Tilt2, would you be disappointed or upset if HTC developed and released a full featured and functional Android build for the TP2/Ttilt2

No, more like excited. Seeing as that's what all this work has gone into trying to accomplish in the first place. lol
Bah! I can't vote right on my own poll...
I can't wait for full Android on this or my next phone whoever makes it.
why would i be disappointed? it would give more access for the devs here to work with.
I would hope that HTC worked with the xda developers to create an android rather than voiding all the existing work.
However if HTC did release one I bet it would solve many of the problem the xda guys have had and would enable them to finish alternative flavours of Android for the TP2.
Either way having android for the TP2 would be just awesome whoever cracks it.
I vote yea because I am not an end user, all these end users probably voted no because they would just be satisfied that theres a working build, but they give no credit to the people that have taken time out of their lives to get something working that a lot of people would have no idea how to do. and yet the devs get no credit...
I want to dump my phone for android based phone.
I think even the devs would love it, because they could then focus their efforts on modding and creating apps which they are really good at and really enjoy instead of backward engineering what has already been done.
I wish...
I wish they would, but it probably won't happen. I'm sure there is already a strain on the HTC-Microsoft relationship because most (if not all) of their new high-end devices are Android based, with the exception of the HD2 (which isn't really new anymore). I'm sure HTC is developing WP7 devices but most of their focus right now seems to be on Android. If they release an Android build for a WinMo device, Microsoft will probably throw a fit. I'm sure HTC wants to do it to spike sales and increase the "lifespan" of the Rhodium, but it would not be in their best interest. However, if there are any HTC engineers and such listening, please feel free to "leak" unofficial 2.1 or 2.2 builds to the geniuses here. 3.0 is welcome as well...
I would love it, but please, don't get my hopes up.
i wouldnt be BUT i do realize the hard work and effort the devs. have made on this project. im sure it would make things easier for devs. then they could focus on modding and apps.
i will never ever turn on the freakin window-mo......more and more and more then happy if Htc release the official Android 3.0 a.k.a. Gingerbread build
HTC would never do this. So the hypothetical question shouldn't even be answered.
I think i would go buy it.
I would like to see a rom with android and wm working as one but back to the question u would have to think about money they would make with people switching n buying another htc phone with andriod but I do think they should lend an helping hand with getting the sound to work

yeah they did it!
They have someone like cottula....a chinese Cottula.
Chineses have good Devs too....they did MIUI builds and now WP7s port...nice indeed.
Is that a multilanguage WP7s port?
its not a windows 7 rom its just a theme over windows mobile 6.5
It must be a very good theme then, I think it may be an early version of wp7

i am a chinese .there isn't wp7 for hd2 on xda.cn .BUT,you guys think it's true ?somepeople said it is false becasuse seller want to raise the prices of the hd2.so ...
So what is being shown on the video if not a wp7 rom

Hi guys,
From what I read, this rom is legit. There were initial concerns that it was just a skin, but it has been confirm that it is happening, WP7 on HD2. its a NAND rom

i wish YES, but still NOOOOO~
I'm a user of HD2 from CN, not a hacker or develper.
WP7phones doesn't available in china. therefore chinese hacker has no rom to hack, thus we have nothing...
p.s, the Xda.cn does not take any responsibility of that short video, yet. maybe they are working on it, or someone just kidding....

this is very interesting
while there are some roms that are themes, it looks like the video on pocketnow and other areas indicate that they have successfully ported an earlier build to the hd2
what is puzzling is that there are no sim card to verify ...

this is funny. a chinese cotulla, no one can replace the ""Cotulla"" himself.
Video is pretty convincing
The video from xda.cn is pretty convincing. It shows a HD2 without a USB connection from powered off, booting into WP7 and then a little bit of navigation through the OS. No marketplace or online features are demonstrated.
And what you are saying is Chinese so permission so is not New
Moving to general. Please keep discussions in general.
~~Tito~~
Can't imagine it is just a theme..
If it is..I have to say it is a super great WP7 theme!!
and I can have it on my TP2.not only HD2!

you registed in XDA just for this post!?
are you really a chinese!? could you just tell me the meaning of "托"? every chinese know it.
I belive even a price rised HD2 will be much cheapper than a HD7 which has almost the same hardware spec. new OS on HD7? it's coming soon to HD2. when it be done, of cause the price should be raised, cause HD2 is a master peice could run every thing on it. but HD7? just put more $ on adv.
PS: WM users aren't IPhone users, they "不看广告看疗效 (never mind adv, just care about real performance)".
According to a user of ITFunz, MIUI developer/forum adminator AC.milan revealed in a chat that they are already porting MIUI for defy. If things go smoothly, initial version may be released before month end.
wow! sounds awesome! thanks for info
Month end is just a couple of days from now, so this is good news. More developers working on Defy versions would mean greater quality from all custom roms (because fixes for some problems there are with 2.3 can be ported from one place to another).
This means that 2init was the best thing until now.
I'd love to see a stock aosp gingerbread build proted to our device. 2.3.4 would be a treat
Whoa. Nice one
Looking forward to it! Great to see that projects like this one and CM are ported to our Defy!

wouldn't have been for the Dev support, we guys would have been stuck with Eclair for eternity...! Motorola is very lousy in India...
Internal version is released, but only available to a few selected users for testing at the moment. http://www.itfunz.com/thread-136469-1-1.html
Great news, keep us informed please.

can't wait !!!
From my research it seems a beta should be available tomorrow to the public
i am a new user so it won't let me post a link, but google search MIUI Rom Defy and its on the MIUI defy forum result.
Hi guys,
I really like this new phone from HTC and I'm seriously considering of buying it. However, even with all the ICS improvements, I still like the original and pure googlish android 4.0 experience more than the new sense. Do you think that a fast, clean and smooth pure-ICS rom will be avaiable soon on the HTC One X? You know...I think HTC published a lot of drivers these days, so I assume it wouldn't be too difficoult to build a clean and simple ICS rom from sources...
Anyway, I hope the answer to this topic will come as a new thread containing directly some interesting download links ;D
Thanks!
A pointless thread in the Developement forum.
I'm sure we will se a CyanogenMod ROM but not because of your request..

You aren't funny. At all. I come from a wonderful experience within the Nexus development area of xda (I've got a N1), and I wanted to start sharing some ideas here in the mind of getting this HTC in the near future. I guess some people here think to be god only for the higher experience or...whatever, and they enjoy themselves answering like as more as possible.
Overall...yes, you've got a result now. I'll probably get a Galaxy Nexus, but surely not for sense-related tastes... just to avoid the need of talking again with people like you. You could have answered "surely CyanogenMod will fit your needs, buy this awesome device and you won't wait long! ;D", and you would have even so 'closed' the request, but with a smile.
A word is enough to the wise
I don't think you're wise enough anyway. You're spamming answering like that, not me. I've made an answer. Nothing forbidden or...whatsoever.
p.s.:CyanogenMod is still unavaiable for many devices that have gingerbread/ICS very well-developed from other devs. Usually, CM comes months after a stable release (official or not) has been shared. On the N1, we've ICS fully working (incl. HWA), and CM devs said we won't get their 'v.9' almost surely.
That's all.
EDIT: I think people should ask about future developments...to developer. Why should I be answered from the 'general section' users? Why should they know if developers are now or are planning of working on a pure ICS release??

You do a thread which doesn't fit in the development forum and now this post:
Please tell me who is the real spammer?
I felt a decision: I won't buy the One X, the HTC Wildfire is a better smartphone without so many spamming in the forum there..
