Baseband:2.15.00.11.19

Rooted with Unrevoked.
After upgrade Baseband, I got very bad signal and want to roll it back.
1. Tried to use cm recovery 2.6 to install zip file containing radio image to 2.05.00.06.10, not sucessful. However, every time it turn to 2.15.00.11.19 after reboot. I fell 6 vibrations during flash, do not know why.
2. Tried to use fastboot flash radio image, but I got "remote not allowed" message!
Could any body help out?
Thanks.

2.10.0001 radio is non-downgradeable on new hardware models.
Your phone has the new block size that is not compatible with the old radios and the remote not allowed error is because you are not using the eng hboot. Unfortunately it is not compatible as is either.
You can force it to downgrade and I believe I found a way to make it work with the new block sizes, but it's never been tested.
Ill test it. Got an extra new block size

If it doesn't work though you're pretty much guaranteed to be bricked. But if it's a phone you're not worried about I've been dying to find out if this will actually work.
Yes i will sacrafice. Gettin a nexus s 4g anyways...seriously will test tho

Right on, all you need to do is downgrade to the eng hboot from the hboot and before rebooting or doing anything set 'fastboot -n 4096'
That *should* let you use the eng hboot. You still won't be unable to downgrade your radio though, although afterward it may let you flash the old radios without so much as a warning.
Ok will do. Hboot usb or fastboot usb?
Tryed this but i still get six short vibrates when flashing the radio

fastboot USB, as I previously said you will probably never be able to downgrade the radio. Sorry but that's just how it is.
Are you able to at least use your phone with the .76 hboot?
its weird.. there should be a way!!

Instead of downgrading so far back, have you tried downgrading the baseband from 2.15.00.11.19 to 2.15.00.09.01? If not, give it a try. You can download it and all of the other EVO radios from the link below:

If i wanted to go back and try Android 2.1 roms, do i have to downgrade the radios as well?
Trying not to make a new thread but....say if I am using a 2.2 Rom with the 2.15.00.11.09 radio and I want to flash to a 2.1 rom(I'm talking bout far back as the rooted shipped stock ROM from last June. Would I need to downgrade my radio? And does that stock ROM already come prepackaged with a kernel. I'm pretty sure the kernel needs to be downgraded for it to be compatible. When I got my EVO in Sept, I was already on 2.2. Never tried 2.1 but have always been curious to try it and see how much worse it is. Then I could say I've finally tried all three versions of Android on my phone and how far we have progressed
As you've stated, the problem would not necessarily be the rom itself not working with the new radios, but whether or not the default kernel would work properly. Give it a shot. The worst that *should* happen is bootlooping. At that point, you can either reboot into recovery and flash a different kernel or downgrade the radio, PRI and NV. Of course, this is my opinion. You can download the rom from here . By the way, according to the descriptions on the shipped roms, the radios appear to be included.

just read that i can't downgrade my radio because i'm running the 2.10 HBOOT and on HW003. but if downgrading the radio is not necessarily important to run a rooted 2.1 rom then i don't have much to worry about do i? also, those links you posted: i can flash those RUU's in recovery like i would any other rom? i don't want to go back to stock and be unrooted.
i was thinking of running the 1.32.651.1 rooted rom from Flipzmode, and if need to - download the appropirate kernel link next to it on the detailed ROM wiki thread maintained by Toast.
You cannot downgrade your HBOOT from 2.10 (not necessarily accurate) without a risk of problems, however, you can downgrade the baseband, PRI and NV. I've done it several times. I've downgrade from baseband 11.19 to 09.01. As well as upgrade to 04.08. I've also downgraded my PRI from 1.90 to 1.77 all while having HBOOT 2.10.
posting & replying via the XDA Premium app.
i've downgraded my PRI because of the wakelock issues.
so you can downgrade the baseband to a certain extent? only within the 2.15 radios? but you cant downgrade to the radios that were on Eclair? if i can run 2.1 roms on 2.15 radios then by all means i'm going to try it out. thanks for the info doug

I've been reading through the forums since the release of unrevoked forever... Flashed it, I'm s-off and running. I was going to hold off until OTA released, but got bored today and decided to mess around with all of this now.
So today I flashed the 2.15 radio that was leaked to the board. After that, I installed SkyRaider 2.5.2 from Clockwork in recovery, which I believe also flashed a new kernel.
My question is... since unrevoked forever and s-off, I can flash between pretty much anything without issue, right?
I found a stock 1.00.03.04.06 radio flash file on here as well. So I restored back to stock 2.1, and then put the 1.00 stock radio on the root of SD card, booted into HBOOT and it flashed back the stock radio.
Is there any issues with doing this? I got excited to be back on Froyo (did this weeks ago with another version of SkyRaider, the leaked OTA, etc... But then went completely back to stock with RUU, re-rooted, etc)... I just want to make sure that doing this isn't going to cause any issues. I would assume at this point, with s-off, it doesn't matter... But, don't want to mess up the phone.
Also - Can someone on stock 2.1 who is also waiting for OTA confirm my versions?
Firmware - 2.1-update1
Baseband - 1.00.03.04.06
Kernel - 2.6.29-cc1c2268, [email protected] #1
Software - 1.22.605.2
I know from the unrevoked wiki they say that running different hboots, radios and kernels might result in an unstable phone.
Thanks.
If I'm reading this correctly it sounds like you bravely accomplished something that everyone has been speculating and wondering about since Forever was released: Downgrading a radio by simply flashing it.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think most were afraid to try it for fear of bricking.

Yes I would like to know also, are you saying that while being 2.2 with 2.15 radio you loaded the 1.x radio img and just flashed it in Hboot? Or did you go through the RUU downgrading method?
Haha... I didn't realize I was being brave. I thought I was just following what everyone else did.
My process was.... On 2.1 update 1 with 1.00 radio... I then flashed the 2.15 radio using HBOOT. It started fine, checked and saw 2.1 update 1 with the 2.15 radio. Booted into Clockwork and did an install of SkyRaider 2.5.2. That was running just fine... But I decided that I wanted to go back "stock" and would wait for 2.2 OTA.
So with that, I found the radio and recovery from on http://adrynalyne.us/. That zip contains just the radio image and recovery (radio 1.00). So with that, I did a restore in Clockwork back to my backup of stock 2.1... Shut down after it restored, booted into HBOOT with that zip of 1.00 radio from the adrynalyne website and it restored back to 1.00 radio.
I did not RUU or anything else. My understanding of s-off was that we could flash pieces one at a time without running into issues... That included radio, kernels, etc.
Everything seems to be running just fine from yesterday through today.

So maybe you just made history because I've been trying like hell to get out of someone whether that was possible? From that point you could I guess flash the ota to take you to 2.0 if you wanted? I am not interested in going back to 1.x but maybe 2.0
The following post seems to say the same thing (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7692494&postcount=190)

I can't confirm re-installing the leaked OTA that upgrades you to 2.0 radio... But I don't see why it wouldn't work.
I seem to remember a post that warned about constantly flashing radios when s-off first came out though.
I have a new post on the 2.15 radio thread in the development forum for more clarification about going from 2.15 to 1.00, etc.
I just spent the last two months in the hospital so please help me if you can...
Ive noticed for a long time that I havent been able to access GPS navigation with any Rom other then stock for the last year. Every once in a while I will load a rom and immediatly get massive amounts of FC's. Ive fixed permissions within recovery and manually had to clear dalvik/cache/battery stats to get certain roms to work and sometimes this doesnt help.
Yesterday after unsucessfully flashing CM7 RC1 for the 3rd time I went into my hboot and saw that I had .77 (i thought I had v.92). I also noticed that I had radio v1.00.03.04.06. Is this the correct radio?
So my question(s) is this:
1) If I upgrade my hboot to .92 (btw I am already unrevoked forever) will It be like clearing all my data/etc?
2) will this fix my GPS?
3) after I flash the .92hboot (pb31img.zip im assuming?) will it also include the correct radio?
4) the process to flash the radio is to do it manually in recovery NOT go into Rom Manager correct?
GPS fail cause your radio is old and for CM7 you need the .92 hboot for the bigger boot partition. I have both on my site and you would flash both through hboot and not recovery. Have only one on your SD card at a time or you can waiit till I get home or someone else who is nice and package on up that contains both. Very simple to do.
That would be much appreciated Doug.
will flashing these cause s-off to...umm turn on?

Flashing a radio or HBOOT does not make you S-ON. Be sure to make sure your MD5 sum matches what the provided MD5 sum says.
Sent from my Droid Incredible running Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo RLS5.3.
This has been helpful as I've had GPS inaccuracy issues on Warm TwoPointTwo and Incredibly Re-engineered. Can I check the Hboot version and radio version without going into Hboot? Wouldn't mind troubleshooting while waiting for a call but with my luck, I'll be in deep and miss the call.

HBOOT you have to boot into it to check. You can check your radio version by going to settings, about phone, software information. There is should be under "baseband version".

1. No, it will only update your HBOOT and you shouldn't lose anything. (provided the HBOOT file is valid)
2. HBOOT upgrading, probably not, but updating the radio should definitely help.
3. Radio & HBOOT updating are separate I believe, unless you are updating from an RUU.
4. Yes that is correct
Here are the radio's, make sure to update to either the 07.28 or the 09.01.

I was rooted with Unrevoked forever and running Caulkulins EVio 2.
Ran the unrevoked s-on tool from the How to Unroot the EVO in 2 STEPS thread.
Attempted to run the PC36IMG but it won't load as I get a notification stating that it is older than the 2.2 the phone came with.
I do now have S-On
Did full wipe and factory restore.
I am unable to update radio, Wimax or Kernel.
Downloaded the 2.3 update and it loads about 1/3 of the way and then hangs, giving me a triangle with a yellow exclamation point next to the little green android guy.
I'm thinking that perhaps I am not totally non rooted but I'm not convinced this shouldn't allow me to update from the 2.15.00.09.01 or allow me to replace the 2.6.32.15-ge2fb08e htc--kernel and 18-12#11
Build# is 3.29.651.5CL252548 Release Keys and Software Number 3.29.651.5
Any thoughts or help you could give me?
I guess I must be a problem with no answers?
For one, you don't need to unroot to flash radios.....
This I was aware of but as I am due for an upgrade in three weeks and I was trading the phone in at RS, it made sense to do so.
This still doesn't explain why I can't upgrade, why the radio flash doesn't take, etc

Since you are rootless, flash the 3.70.XX RUU and then run update. That should get all updated ...
Although why bother with a trade in?

Thanks for the RUU recommendation. I tracked down the original non rooted version and it solved all my problems
Ok let start by getting a few things out of the way.
1 I'm sorta a Noob ok kick me crack a joke or two I don't care as long as you help
2. I have Htc evo of course running stock 2.2 (baseband ver 2.15.00.11.19)
Kernel ver 2.6.32.17-gee557fd htc-kernel and18-2 #15) (S-ON)
Radio-2.15.00.11.19 and I'm using a Mac (if that help)
3. I rooted it using the unrevoked method.
The device works fine but bit I'm having a big issue trying to upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3.
I have been trying to unroot the phone so that I can update OTA.
But no matter how many times I try to unroot it my super user is still there
I would rather flash the phone to a 2.3 GB rom thats 2.3 with sense 2.1 or 3.0.
I've tried this the method found on youtube using the s-on and dropping the image file (zip) on the sd card and flashing it
by making sure you install the (s-on) patch
and re-flashing the RUU (PC36IMG).
but when I did that it said that i was re-flashing a old version.. so I found a newer version.
But when I drop it on my SD card as (PC36IMG.zip) it reads it, checks it then... takes me right back to the Hbot screen like nothing never happen!!!
I've been working on this for 3 days I've even tried restoring and everything.
I've been searching online for answers but I can't find anything that helps either its not up to date or just flat out dont work.
at the end of the day i just want a damn evo running BG 2.3 sense 2.1 or 3.0 would be nice.
oh by the way when i try to run the OTA it reboots startes to load get about 35% then goes to the exclamation mark / triangle.
I'm out of options please help me out! I've searched and read on for about 3 days now.
please either help flash the device to a stable working 2.3 with sense 2.1-3 or un root it so i can update it ota and re root it again...

Wow man, between the general and q&a sections there are seven threads dealing with this very topic. Yet you couldn't find any of them?
If you want to unroot and take the ota you will need to flash the s-on update and run the 3.70 ruu to unroot. Once you do that you'll be completely unrooted and like new. Then just take the update and it should go through without any issues. If, however, your bootloader shows a firmware version higher than 3.70 and you are s-on then I'm sorry to say you are stuck like that.

I've dont that and i still can not remove the root
You'll need to flash the PC36IMG through fastboot to see what's going wrong with it then. To do that download the AutoRoot tools zip and the PC36IMG_3.70.651.1.zip from the link below. Once you have them both unzip the tools folder and place the PC36IMG in it, then run the FlashZip script and tell it to flash the 3.70.651.1 zip
It should flash ok but if not it'll give you an error message saying what went wrong with it. Keep in mind you're going to be completely unrooted if your bootloader shows S-ON.

What HBoot do you have... I think just flashing one of the stock GB roms probably would of been easier just my opinion....

You do realize that you'll lose root until a new method is found, correct? If you want to stay rooted, you need to reroot, then flash the stock rooted 2.3 rom.
If you want a newer version of Sense, you'll be outta luck there too - the new update is same ol' Sense 1.0.
Just making sure you realize this, since so many people are whining about not being able to root the OTA and being stuck with the uneventful update.

hey guys i got it working thanks for your help!!!!
Hello Supersonic Community,
I come to you in my time of need, I have spend the last 3 days at work trying to downgrade an Evo 4g to 2.1. from 2.2.
Initially I ran unrEVOked3 reflash package as from what I read it would probably be the easiest place to start from an unrooted 2.2.
Once I was rooted on 2.2 I followed the guide from here
and used the RUU/Zip files from here
I currently have the phone in a state where it will only load into the bootloader and I do have a working amon ra recovery.
When I try flashing the RUU's PC36img.zip file from hboot I see that it "checks" the zip file however I am not prompted to run the update.
and when trying to run the RUU zip file from recover it says there is not update script.
My main question is if anyone knows why I am not prompted for the update from Hboot or if its possible to flash from recovery back to stock 2.1
I come from a Nexus S and HTC Desire background and have a bit of knowledge just kinda stumped right now on this one. I am currently trying different SD cards for the hboot flash as I have read that it can be a bit finicky.
Thanks in advance for any help.

It all goes back to the Hboot version you have. I think it's anything over 2.10 you can't downgrade.
I think your best bet is to just flash a stock/Rooted 2.1 ROM or a custom Froyo ROM
Well my HBoot is .79 so I hopefully can recover to 2.1.
I basically can't have a rooted phone, I work in mobile QA and we can't test on devices that are rooted. Which I know is a bit retarded but thats how it works for us right now.
If I flash a stock 2.1 rooted Rom I should be able to unroot.... at the very least uninstalled su and my boss won't know hehe
Thanks for your reply.
Did your phone come with that hboot? If your hboot and radio match the ruu you are trying to flash, then it should be good to go. If you r s-off while trying, even better. Do you have 20k or 40k block sizes?

That would be the Hboot it came with these are testing devices at my work. they are ALL STOCK unless i personally change it as no one else here handles the android phones.
I am unsure of the 20/40 k block sizes you are referring too do you mean on my sd card?

Issue resolved.
Set phone into recovery and used ADB to remove the Superuser apk
