hmm, have you tried taking the card out, and putting it back in? You're going to need the Unrevoked S on tool, if your initial root method was Unrevoked. To run the Unrevoked S on tool, however, you need to flash it in recovery. Which would mean you need it on your sd card. That's the only part of the unroot process you need the SD card for, though. You can run the RUU from your computer to flash it back to stock, but you just need to use the Unrevoked S on tool before doing that. I'm not sure if you could flash the Unrevoked S on tool using adb, then making it so you wouldn't need your sd card. Maybe that's possible, but I've never had to do it that way, so I'm not sure. I would do a little research on if you can flash the Unrevoked s on tool using adb commands to do it.

This happened to me too, what did it for me was to format the sd card and problem solve. I didn't lose root access. If you want to try this, do it at your own risk.

Can your phone see it in recovery mode?
Have you tried formatting the microSD card?
If you can get it seen by recovery/hboot, follow this tutorial:

This is tearing me apart!!!!
ESPRIMG not found error is usually fixed by reformatting your SD card, taking care to use the FAT32 format (not just FAT). Format your card and put everything you need back on it and try again...

Im a noob how do i do that.
I can't remember if it works to format the card with it in your phone or if you need to take the card out and plug it into your computer through a card reader .. think it works through the phone.
So plug your phone into you computer and make sure that the sd card contents are available through the computer (you might have to turn on the disk drive setting on your phone).
In Windows you would then right click on the drive for your phone's SD card and select format. Then make sure the format is set to FAT32.

Ok I've rooted every thing but I got a few problems

If all you want is the official Froyo update then you can now go download it directly from HTC. See the Offical Froyo is out on HTC site! thread.
Note that following that path will remove root from your phone.
If you would rather keep root you have a few other options. There are a few sense rom variants including the one you linked to.
If you already have root and have installed rom manager then you shouldn't have any trouble using that to install a new rom, create backups, etc.
Not sure what your comment about nexus 1 meant? You certainly cannot install a nexus rom on the slide. Did you mean the Cyanogenmod ROMs?

[Q] is it shot?

my friend was completly mindless. he used kernal manger to flash the cyanogenmod kernal to his phone. the phone is s-on and nothing works except the phone itself, it does not power properly it needs battery pull and plug ins to get it to start or it just vibrates 5x then freezes. it also does not recognize the sd OR pc, i cant get to it on the pc with correct drivers...its like its not there.
so i went to fix it for him and could not ruu due to the not seeing the device, and couldnt flash anything off the sd due to the sd being not recognized. he told me he had a failed unrevoked session and it put superuser on and cwm on. i CAN get to the hboot screen and when i go into recovery i get into cwm but nothing at all works...
i never saw a brick like this. i would like to call it a live brick dead lol
is it dead?

SD card not working? Do you have a card reader or another phone to put it in and format with? See if it is even recognized by anything else other than the phone.
I'm not sure but isn't an SD card necessary for CWM recovery to work?

if they want the phone to work, yeah.
sd works anywhere else. sd is not recognized by phone. nothing happens when its pushed in and using astro shows nothing there. cwm just opens but is completly non-functional

Can you not use a card reader to put the RUU on and flash it in hboot? I guess not if its S-ON, what error is it giving in unrevoked? If it flashed an alternate recovery then it has to be rooted..

Try some of the solutions above and let us know. Re-rooting or putting the RUU found here http://dougpiston.com/?page_id=108 on the SD card
My thoughts are the only fix i can see working would be to flash the RUU in hboot not cwm and then root it properly. That should work provided you can get it to read the sd card in hboot
SD card must be fat 32
the ruu you download must be named "PB31IMG.zip" the case is important it must be in all uppercase
and what you will do is put it on the sdcard using a card reader and your pc then put it in the phone then go into hboot it should read the card find the image and ask you if you wish to flash this. You should if it goes well have a stock phone... You can then run unrevoked again to root it this time...
can not access the sd card at all... sd card works fine in my computer... not mountable... can't figure it out...

SD Card - root of the SD card???

I am attempting to refresh a semi-bricked rooted phone. I need to get it to "S-on". I have downloaded the .zip file i need to my PC. I need to save it "to the root of the SD card". Noobie question: what is the root of the SD card? That is not a folder I see. I have put the unrevoked-forever-son.zip file a few places on the SD card and it does not seem to be working. Where do i need to save this .zip file so that when i run bootloader it will find and exe the file??? Thanks!
Getting s-on won't revive a dead phone - if anything, it'll prevent you from trying other solutions. If you can get into the bootloader, then you aren't bricked... unless you can't get the phone to boot regardless of running RUUs, etc.
For the record, the root of the SD card means not in any folders. You don't flash the s-on tool through hboot, you flash it through recovery. But I wouldn't flash it anyway, try running an RUU to set the phone back to factory.

[Q] [Help] Unbrick i747M via SD Card Problem

Background:
I thought I would try to install stock 4.3 leak for i747, forgetting that I had i747M! I totally HARD bricked my phone.. not a whimper, except the familiar recognition of a new device type on windows.. but no charging, booting, or even response.
I turned to the 'Unbrick via SD Card' thread from the Sprint S3 forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43305728
I managed to find a debrick.img for the i747M. With that in hand, first using the method utilizing Cygwin, I was able to boot into Download Mode. Hurray! I downloaded the Stock 4.1.2 i747M Bell Image, and fully restored the phone using ODIN.
All seemed great until I removed the debrick SD card, and rebooted. Dead again. With the SD card in, I can reboot. I have tried restoring multiple times, writing a new PIT from another i747M, reinstalling the bootloader... nothing. If the SD Card isn'tin the phone, it's bricked. I am happy my phone is up and running, but it's nasty not having my 16 Gig SD card available, and also, I really need to ensure the battery doesn't die! Can anyone suggest what might be going wrong? Shouldn't I simply need to flash the stock image, and be good!?!
Thanks!
Can you get into Download / recovery mode w/o the SD card ?
Did you try the stock image from this thread ? :

If you want to maintain ROOT access be sure to grab the root.zip and flash AFTER you flash the image and BEFORE you reboot.
As an FYI, the 16Gig Bell image worked great for me.

Tried everything.. flashing the recommended version above from internal disk won't work. Flashes of Odin compatible versions complete, and still need the SD card in. I have rooted, installed Clockwork recovery, tried to install the firmware from internal drive... it would fail. Install from ODIN (Samsung Recovery) it succeeds, but won't boot without the SD Card in. (Familar QD Loader). I just don't get it. I might have to go to ADB level, and see if I can have any success there?

You my friend as you said are HardBricked, need to be flashed by jtag. I tried on a friends to use a debrick image to fix, but in the end I have to use the riff box to fix it. You may also have luck with this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439367 but remember to replace the file/files with the proper ones for YOUR phone.
Good Luck

I had the exact same issue, took all the same steps you did, and had all the same frustrations. The last thing I tried though was to dd the debrick img to the internal memory of the phone via a terminal session running from my sdcard booted phone. figured I had nothing left to lose. It worked. I got the phone booted to download mode without the card in and restored my phone. I will add that I am no expert so this might be the worst idea ever. but my phone has been running since the 31st.

forgive me, I'm no expert but I'll try to list what I did.
booted the phone via SD card and restored a backup so that I was running a rooted custom 4.3 ROM. I also had the terminal emulator program installed on the phone. so everything worked great at this point except I needed the SD card in the phone to boot.
the image I used for the SD card boot is a 16GB (version not file size) Bell I747M dump of a stock phone, called debrick.img. Sorry I cant remember where I got it but it was here on XDA. To get it on the SD card to begin with I used the terminal emulator on my old i9000(m) and the dd command.
So, to reverse the process I opened the terminal emulator on my SD booted, running I747M. typed: su <enter> to give the app superuser access (allowed root access when prompted) then changed to the directory on the sd card containing the debrick.img file just to save me typing the full path in the command. the internal SD of my phone is found at /dev/block/mmcblk0 as opposed to mmcblk1 for the external SD.
so , moment of truth. I used; dd if=debrick.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0 <enter> This was the part I mentioned could be the worst idea ever because from what I think I understand, you are writing directly to the boot partition of the SD and could completely screw up all the partitions and whatnot.
after that, crossed my fingers and turned the phone off, pulled the SD card out and luckily booted right up into download mode. Used Odin to get back up and running. Hope that helps or at least doesnt make anything worse for you.
help me please
hey friend, you could climb the debricked.img of i747m to a download server or give me the link where obtubiste, I'm going through a hard brick on the terminal for the same reasons as you, please appreciate what you really so

Your method worked for me. Very clever and thank you. I did have to do some modifications of the partitions to fit the 145MB debrick.img file. I also had to mount it as a 2nd partition from the sdcard. Once, was in dowload mode without original debrick sdcard, I flashed the clockworkmod recovery then restored one of my previous back thus retaining root.
Mind sharing the i747m Debrick.img?
Seems like the link from the post you linkd us to is not working, clicking download does nothing :/ currently have a bricked Bell S3 and need a debrick.img

[Q] Phone stuck on boot loop

Hi,
my phone stuck on boot loop, as i mentioned at the title. I mean it comes to HTC screen and then black screen and then again HTC screen. It happened when i try to move com.htc package to sd-card, i was trying to open some more place for my internal storage ( i didn't know that can happen.)
how can i fix this ? can you please help me thanks !:crying:
Unfortunately you tried to move an important system component (didn't even know it would let you).
In future, if you don't know what it is, you should research it first. If you can't find anything, don't touch it
To get it back, you will likely have to run an RUU, but you will lose everything except stuff on your sd card.
Find bortak's troubleshooting guide at the top of Q&A, find the bit on RUU, find and flash the 2.3.3. GB RUU.
In future, if you really want to make more space on the Desire, the only proper way is to research how to S-OFF, root and partition your sd card.
Do you have a Nandroid? You must take nandroid backup using CWM before going fishy with /system
Else try factory reset using stock recovery
To free system space, instead of moving important files, use Link2SD for moving apps to SD partition
I'm here to Help
Sent from my Micromax A110 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
thanks, i will try
I'm appreciated for your helps, i'm now at work, when i go home i 'll try your suggestion that installing RUU.
I don't have a nandroid and don't know what it is. And i tried all choices on HBOOT none of them worked !
And one more question my usb driver looks like broken when i connect computer my phone and go into HBOOT, it says "USB Device not recognized" but i can plug my sd card to my laptop, can i run RUU and flash proccess by my sd card and how ?

In the same troubleshooting guide there should be a section on how to extract the ROM.zip from the RUU
Then you rename it to PB99IMG.zip exactly, put it on the root of the sd card (not in any folder), and run it from the sdcard without cable.
Alternatively, if you search directly for the 2.3.3. RUU as PB99IMG.zip is should be available.
