Free video converter - Windows Phone 7 General

Have used this to convert an mkv file to mp4 (not for WP7 though) and it worked fine. Should work to create WP7 compatible files with a custom preset. Contact the author so he can add official WP7 support for one-click conversion.

I am finding a tools that can edit AC3 font! TKS!

Hello,
I need a tool to decompresses a Chinese AC3 font(font file with extension .ac3, such as sunfon.ac3 ) to ttf(ttc) font, so i can use ttf(ttc) font tool to edit it!Thanks!
I am finding a tools that can compress TTF/TTC font to AC3! TKS!
And I need a tool to compresses a Japanese TTF/TTC font(font file with extension .ttf or .ttc, such as YOzR04S_.TTF or msgothic.ttc ) to AC3 font, so i can convert latest version of MS Gothic/MS PGothic/MS UI Gothic TTC from Windows Vista to AC3 so I can put it into my own WM6 ROM kitchen! Thanks!
(Sorry for plagiarizing your initial words.)
I tried to contact Monotype (the creator of the AC3 font compression technology) to see if they had a TTF/TTC to AC3 compressor for sale; no response. I posted my request/inquiry on the MSDN Forum (http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=3143857&SiteID=1), and instead I got a stupid response from the moderator stating that the inquiry was off-topic and that I had to post it on the Windows Mobile Forum. I did so (https://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsMobile/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=3774818&SiteID=65), and the only response I got was that I would get a quicker response if I posted it on MSDN Forum (but if I do so again, it'll be again marked off-topic and would issue a potential user-banning flag to the moderator there). So, both Microsoft forums are right now useless to discuss TTF/TTC to AC3 conversion.

Hey, I couldn't find any tool for decompressing an AC3 font to TTC/TTF, but I just downloaded the evaluation version of Windows CE 5.0 Platform Builder and found that it includes already-decompressed TTC and TTF fonts, including SC_Song (sunfon.ttf, the uncompressed version of sunfon.ac3). So, there are no AC3-to-TTF(C) decompressors available (as far as I know; Google returns nothing except Dolby AC3 codecs which are a completely different topic), but if you just need a decompressed font to edit it, then you'll want to check WinCE 5.0 Platform Builder below; the TTC and TTF files you want are already included in the Platform Builder.
You can download Windows CE 5.0 Platform Builder Evaluation Version (120-day trial) online-setup bootstrapper at http://www.microsoft.com/DownLoads/...50-D311-4F67-9FB3-23E8B8944F3E&displaylang=en
Note that you will need Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 installed before running setup, and if you have Windows Vista, you'll have to do this to install .NET Framework 1.1: http://kbase.gfi.com/showarticle.asp?id=KBID003100
The WinCE 5.0 setup.exe you download from the Microsoft link above will ask you what components you want to install (i.e., choose only ARM architecture, MIPS, x86, ARM+x86, or all architectures) and it will download you only those components you chose (there is no downloadable/redistributable full installer, although you can order a DVD which has the full installer but that would be both a waste of money and a waste of resources because you will only need ARM architecture files since almost all WinMo PPCs are ARM-based). Once all your chosen components have been downloaded to some folder in your C:\ drive, you'll find the fonts inside a "Public" subfolder; you can use Windows Search to find *.ttc or *.ac3 inside that subfolder.

How to develop Applications using Flash Lite?

I just downloaded uConvert and was shocked to see that it is actually a Flash Lite application.
I checked the Wiki and couldn't find any informations about that.
How could I create Applications using Flash lite?
I tried different things in Adobe Flash CS3 pro but the template only create .swf files and the related html file when I would like to create an .exe file.
I ticked the box that usually exports to .exe but that application doesnt' seem to be recognised by Windows Mobile so I am guessing this is only for Windows Desktop
Any idea? Websites? links?
I did a google search and couldn't find anything interesting, just links to unrelated informations and 3 years old Adobe pages talking about Winmo 2003
Flash Lite is an implementation of the Flash runtime for mobile phones, consumer electronic devices, and Internet-connected digital home devices. You can use this for creating application.
Okay here's an overview:
The Flash content must be in the Flash Lite 3.1 format, published as a .SWF
You can package the .SWF together with related resources and an icon using the Adobe Mobile Packager (now discontinued but you can find it on Google)
When a user installs your application in a supported country, the necessary Flash Lite player will be installed automatically (only available in some countries on a small range of devices due to Adobe discontinuing it), otherwise they can install the Flash Lite 3.1 Distributable Player manually
The Flash Lite 3.1 Distributable Player does not allow you to view Flash content on the web and it will not affect any existing installations of different Flash Lite versions
The packager will package your Flash Lite application into a native .CAB (Windows Mobile) or .SIS (Symbian S60) installer. When the user installs this it will automatically create start-menu shortcuts to your program
The situtation is somewhat odd compared to several months ago due to Adobe's change in priorities regarding Flash. At the time of release of the Adobe program the applications created this way did meet Windows Marketplace guidelines; I am not so sure at the moment due to Adobe discontinuing the packager, I'm trying to find out from MS.
Flash Lite 3.1 has most of the features in Flash 8, including much better performance over Flash 7 and Flash Lite 2.1.
could someone point me at a working link to download Adobe Mobile Packager ? I found one version but AVG detected a virus on it. (win32/heur)

The TCPMP Executable now features a working equalizer!
Many of the modifications were done by bimbam69, see his continuing development/release thread Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=636423 for his other versions, including one with skin support!
The rmplugin was created by ghosting from pdafans.com Thread Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=645456
CURRENT VERSION = 5.7.1
Version 5.7.1 represents a significant graphics upgrade, specifically in the executable itself, the player controls, and the icons in the file explorer!
For installation cleanup, delete SetupDLL.dll/Setup.dll whichever one is present...
Enjoy!
EDIT: 10/22/2010
It's finally Here!
I have just released the latest edition of the Master Codec Pack, Version 6.0! Here is its release thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=8756268

Someone was looking for audio/video players thus I uploaded what I had. pocket music v 5.x has a free version - doesn't have working x-boost nor working equalizer.
Thanks for the effort, mate!

awesum codec pack man. had some issues with your downloads though. i downloaded both the cab and pc exe zips. both of em when downloaded didnt come out as zips. just files labeled tcpmp and they werent associated with any program on my pc or phone(htc ozone). so i downloaded just ur codecs.so i went to bimbam69s thread and downloaded his current version of the player. got that working. it of course came with some codecs that work but not all of yours. my question is, seems i got the player from bimbams thread, is how do i associate your codecs with the player? i thought they had to be placed in the windows dir then the device had to be soft reset. when i installed bimbams version, the codecs are in the tcpmp folder and i cant find them in the windows dir. so do i need to just add yours to the tcpmp folder and soft reset? and should i replace his codecs with yours? sorry for the novel but, i know most of the devs like all the feedback they can get. thanks in advance for any help.

It appears you may have installed the program incorrectly, these are not .ZIP files, except for the library, and the standalone player package. The .CAB is an executable installer, you must copy it to your device, and then execute it there, it will place all the files where they need to go, it should NOT be extracted. The .EXE is to be executed from your PC when your device is connected via ActiveSync. the ZIP archive is for advanced users who plan on experimenting. you should not place any files into the "Windows" directory, they should all be in the "TCPMP" program folder. After installation, you will need to set the file associations within the Options/Settings/File Associations submenu, Also, only replace the codecs you feel you need to, the ones in this pack are the most advanced ones available, including the most recent ones compiled by bimbam69.
UPDATE: It appears I placed a version of FFMPEG into the installer designed especially for XScale Processors, this may be why so many of you were experiencing crashes. That oversight has been rectified, and versions of FFMPEG that are processor specific have been added to the ZIP Archive, all links have also been updated accordingly. The current file version is 5.0.1
my bad. wrote that novel and i still managed to not be clear. the codec archive is the only file i extracted. the installers(cab and pc exe) downloaded as those weird files, for me anyways. again, just downloaded the version from bimbams thread so, no biggie. was just curious about the dlls and plgs really. the last version of tcpmp i had i had to put the codecs in the windows dir. if thats not the case here and just placing them in the tcpmp folder work, even better!

Try renaming the file extension from ".ON2" to ".FLV", It should work then.
the files are are already flv, when i try to play it on core player it tell me that the are on2 vp6
Today I downloaded cab version. When I started the program I received following "Unexpected program failure. Please send "crash.txt" to the developers. Program will now exit".
I attached crash.txt
Posible solution for crashes
Attached crash.txt clearly mentions sorenson.plg as a reason for a crash. So you need to delete that plugin as it turns incompatible. If you will not play videos containing Sorenson 3 (SVQ3) codec you'll not gonna miss it . Also make sure you remove registry entry named TCPMP from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE, this wil ensure fresh and clean start of tcpmp.
EDIT: Some people say that new build of player.exe is not getting well with original(oficial) plugins. I tend to disagre because they work well on my device running wm6.5, but when i was testing these builds on Windows mobile 6.5 emulator, the original plugins didn't work (i can't remember was it a crash or not ) other wersions of winmo were running like a charm though. So to sum up it might be your OS that f**** up everything

WM 6.1 to 6.5 - .wav files

Just i have 2 questions ,
-how i can upgrade to windows mobile 6.5 ?, tried to look in the forum but it was not clear.
-How i can play wav files on windows mobile, I've got corePlayer 1.3.6 but don't know how to let windows mobile to use it to play the .wav files automatically ?
WM6.5 and WAV
Hi
The best way to upgrade to WM6.5 is to choose a ROM which you like and flash it.
Yet, if you didn't do it already, please carefully read the instructions for not bricking your device by a mistake. After the first time - it is like riding a bike.
all you need to know can be found here: Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile ROM Development
As for playing .WAV files, you can use the standard MediaPlayer or use Nitrogem, which is one of the *BEST* applications I found (read here).
Hope I helped
How i can play wav files on windows mobile, I've got corePlayer 1.3.6 but don't know how to let windows mobile to use it to play the .wav files automatically ?
-------------------------------------------------------------
open core player select -----> menu ---> tools ----> select page ----> file association -----> check all the file type you want to be opened automatically with core player -----> ok
done !

[USERMODE DRIVER] OPL3 FM Softsynth

Hi guys, I just registered here to let everyone know I'm currently working on a forked codebase of an (LGPL) OPL3 MIDI synth running entirely in software (uses the emulator core from DOSBox IIRC) and it turns out with a bit of a fiddle other than the compilation prerequisites, this works on the Surface tablet.
After procuring a Surface RT during the fire sales last month or so, I was curious as to whether or not it was possible to change MIDI devices on this thing. As it turns out, since Windows 8, Microsoft has evidently crippled MIDI playback device selection even more and this is also reflected in Windows RT. (ie: only means is to change the midi string in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32 to point to the DLL you wish to load)
Anyway, you can find out more about progress and source code here (Note: content aimed at standard desktop):
Original thread (Alexey Khokolov's original code and further discussion)
www DOT vogons DOT org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=36667
Forked driver source code:
bitbucket DOT org/djtubig-malicex/opl3-synth-driver
WinRT binary here (with default Fat Man / Windows OPL patches):
dl DOT dropboxusercontent DOT com/u/1287967/WinRTexe/opl3emu.dll
Installation instructions:
1. Save the .dll file somewhere, preferably %WINDIR%\system32
2. Open regedit and browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32
3. Rename the existing "midi" key to say midi1 or midi2
4. Create a new key "midi", and have its contents contain the filename "opl3emu.dll" (alternatively the full path, may need quotes)
means of changing MIDI device is identical to windows 8 it seems however I have not tested existing utilities at this time
4a. If you do not wish to set it as a default, simply make a new key eg: "midi1" or "midi2" and have it contain "opl3emu.dll". Apps will still recognize its existence.
If you need a MIDI player, this C# code seems to work.
stackoverflow DOT com/questions/3884251/no-sound-heard-while-playing-a-midi-file-in-c-net
Alternatively, use GSPLAY with the DOSBox WinRT build. You can also explicitly specify MIDI device this way (refer to dosbox documentation).
Anyway, hope everyone enjoys making their Windows RT tablet play CANYON.MID in classic FM on their modern Microsoft tablet. :v
