Text recognition Software

Hey HD-Fans,
as I am very surprised of the great WorldCard functionality, I'd like to know whether there is a Software for text recognition (books or magazines etc.)!
Can anybody help me?
to be pushed...
I would love to have something like this. I was surprised by how well worldcard works. Its a shame you have to use it for just contact cards, especially when not everyone uses business cards.
Can anybody help us?
Hey ASK768, did you find anything concerning text recognition?
nope, so far ive been scanning using world card and then copy-pasting the text. Its a bit annoying because the text is spread accross many fields but its better than nothing.
Is there anybody having any idea concerning a text recognition software?

Windows Mobile Soundboard apps?

Hey noticed that Android is full of those simple soundboard apps which seem to be very popular at least among the younger generation. I started coding one in visual studio but am having a few problems with the code. To any winmo developers out there I have a few questions.
1) I assume the easiest way is to have all the sound files loaded as linked resources not embedded.
2) how do you access the embedded resources? for the path I just used ../Resourcs/filename.pcm and it was built fine but I recieved an error at runtime.
Basically I just want to have a series of buttons which each play a sound and a button on the bottom which stops all sounds. Seems simple enough or at least I thought. Any code examples other than the MSDN ones would be appreciated. The MSDN ones seemed to be more complicated than what was needed. Thanks in advance!

Edit: forgot to mention this is in C#
Yeah I have been looking for something like this too, I have even thought of learning to program one as well
Try hermssoftware and look for isound, i use it and added my own themes, but i haven't figured out how to label the buttons.
Thanks!
I am really looking for more input on how to get my code to work as I'm more interested in creating my own than just having soundboards on my phone.

[Q] [REQ] WP7 Theme \ ROM

So.. I've fallen inlove with the WP7 looks, but I cant stand Windows-phones in general due to many reasons, and I also still want Android due to the customizationpossibilites and the market.
Have anyone seen a ROM with the WP7-themes and\or something similar?
I have bought and downloaded the WP7 apps that are in development, but I still feel it needs more since its just apps added to the standard package.
Any hints\tips\links or anything on how I could possibly do this myself if there is nothing out there?
I'm thinking of swapping the standard systemapps ofcourse.
sincerely,
Dag M.
There's a blog somewhere, think it's the launcher7 one, where they've got Windows apps on android, i.e. look and feel of wm7.

Thanks for share dude
This app very excelent !!
My pleasure. I think its a great way to try out code ideas before exporting them to Eclipse or something.
Be awesome if it supported external libraries like Gson.
Looks like they've released an update today allowing integration of .jar files.
I havent tried it yet but I'm thrilled, gonna download this soon!
This might encourage more people to create apps for android!

App Themes/Styles Examples.....

Hi guys,
I am currently building a mobile application, but I am at the stage where my programmers are coding the app fine enough, but they are not very creative when it comes to creating the theme or style (which seems to be a common problem).
Now luckily enough, I myself graduated from college as a graphic designer, so I can create the theme (each screenshot) in photoshop and hand it to my developers to implement into the build of the app, BUT my question is to you guys...
Does anyone know of any good websites which have examples of lots of nice app styles and themes???
I also have a "carousel" feature within my app but its looking quite basic at the moment, does anyone know where i can find examples of carousel features???
Having a look at examples of good design work gives me insparation when starting design work.
So can anyone help me with this??
Cheers
