Hmm already have an AppHub membership, any way this could be used to pay for the next subscription fee?
Does it have the region limitation? like only limit to certain countries or regions that can "verify" by GeoTrust?

So I looked into this - turns out that there is a country limitation which wasn't clearly announced. I asked for verification of which countries and ahven't heard back yet due to the time difference.
Coincidentally, I am in KL this week doing startup engagement work with the local BizSpark team. I just left a speaking engagement at the MAD Incubator and am back in the KLCC now. I'll let you know what I hear.

Tnx for the update, just waiting on being verified by GeoTrust
any ideas how long it normally takes the team to respond ?
Hi, I just saw the offer and applied for BizSpark account. Now as I search about it, I've come to know that it is targeted toward small companies, whereas I'm just an individual.
Is there any way to cancel my application? Thanks.
I take it this is not supported in the UK ? Have applied but no response
luckily for me I already got a free apphub account through dreamspark
Thank you for your interest in the App Hub offer. The offer is no longer available but please stay tuned as we will announce new offers and benefits as they are made available.

missed it. I'm about to publish a couple but been held back by the entrance fee. Guess will wait until the next one...
Not sure what's going on, but am not getting updates from XDA (or any vBulleting forum) for some reason.
UK is eligible. If you haven't gotten access yet, I can get anyone a token manually. Let me know.
Hi again, I am soo interested. Want to publish the two apps I have so far, but I already missed the rebate offer (apr 15). If I could have a token I would be so much more grateful (already am, with the Bizspark membership).
RE: The updates, same thing happened to me in the past two weeks. No updates. In my case, found them all in the spam folder (gmail), never happened before.
So, anyways. If possible, I'd very much appreciate access to it.

Stil stuck on "Publisher identity verification(geoTrust)" for over 2 weeks..
I was stuck in the identification process for 2 weeks or more. After reading around I saw that actually submitting an app speeds up the process, 3 days after I submitted a dummy app I got an email to verify.

JT, how much did you pay to do it? I've also been thinking about doing it as well
$40.00
IMEI Check
i pay just one time and it works
I didn't use imei-check, but I did get an official unlock code from T-mobile. After I gave them an IMEI number over the phone, they e-mailed me an unlock code a few days later. Don't know if that information can be helpful, but I can definitely send it your way.

Guy, I did it your way also, the free way with T-Mobile makes dollar$ and $en$e to me...!
Wow
Um, someone offers to help figure out how to unlock the phone, and you guys accuse him of being "shady" or tell him to pay for it? jeeezus. what the hell is he going to do with your *unl file???? Other than help other people unlock their phone for free?
Nitrocell, I wish I had a unl file to send to you. But perhaps you would have more success with others if you described in more detail what you were planning on doing to decode the *unl file so it was not locked to an IMEI

Newbie or not, he has a valid point.
But I also agree, a "shady" person may have a use for that imei number. Unfortunately, I would also have a hard time giving up my imei without some real good explanation as to how its going to work.
You know what. He may have a point but no need to start talking downward to people. Especially not having shelled out the money for the service.
Maybe I'll make a thread about banking software that I'm looking to "develope" and ask people for their bank accounts...Why not right?
If the original post had of been a bit more informative maybe I wouldn't have taken this tone but it just sounds like a sham. Sorry!
Basically if you have the imei of someones phone and the unlock, you could pretty much just change your phone's imei to the "stolen" one, unlock it, and your done I totally get what your saying. It would take a lot of trust...more than you can earn in 3 posts.
Exactly my point. Thanks for actually spelling it out.
guys really
me myself i just want to unlock my phone so that i can use it with a cingular account and t-mobile for when i go out of town so that i get better service because t-mobile kinda sucks when i head towards new york so can anyone help me please i miss alot of money frequently going to new york without my phone
he's not asking for the imei, only the unl file. it would only work if one could crack the unl...which is the whole point. and as for needing to get an imei like that ... lol. um, yeah. post your unl's cuz i alone know how to crack em and with that info what am i gonna do? i'm gonna get some guys imei from xda. brilliant.
i wasn't the one who got into it with op. why not get back to the topic he raised? cracking the unl.
I don't see any attachments on your post. All I hear is a bunch a circle talk.
Sorry about the title, typed in the wrong date.
It's confirmed. Windows Phone 7 will launch on the 11th of October in New York. T-Mobile is one of the launch carriers. AT&T is confirmed to be the second.

This seems more like speculation with a bit of truth. Don't really care though I'm on Tmobile, because I know it will come soon.
I plan on upgrading , but I won't do it until I see a device with a 32GB option. If not then I'll just get the Zune HD2 64GB (If it is real) with a Android Device.
T-Mobile is definitely not the only carrier for WP7.

It very well may be that AT&T will be exclusive for a bit with T-Mo getting devices later. Maybe AT&T is getting them the same date as Europe (October 21st) and T-Mo is launching November 8th?
I don't believe its a lunch. Its just a press meeting for people to see what the finished devices are like.

Depends on your definition of "launch". In this case, they're showing off the devices and announcing retail availability, etc. Everything about the v1 release should be fully open... no more of this "we can't tell you that" (except in regards to future updates).

Right. But it won't be available to consumers right on that day will it? That's what I meant. I associate "launch" to "consumer-availability"

http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/26/htc-officially-dissolves-locked-bootlader-policy/
http://www.facebook.com/HTC/posts/10150307320018084
They just announced that they won't be locking the bootloaders anymore... now give us a way to S-OFF our phones...
this is a really great move. i'm super excited about them doing this.
however, will they unlock the inc2 bootloader through an ota update or something? or will it only be for new phones, i really hope we get it for s-off
Yes, now if they will just make that policy retroactive...
Someone send an email to HTC asking if it will cover the dinc2. I've seen people on the EVO 3d forums receiving answers.
Sent from my ADR6350 using XDA App
I have no evidence of this, but if HTC has agreed that already released hardware with locked loaders (EVO 3D) will get unlocked, my guess is all locked devices will get the same treatment.
Good question, Ted. We definately understand the concern regarding the phones with bootloaders that are currently locked. At this point in time, we don't have any information on if and how existing locked bootloaders will be unlocked. Though, once we reach a decision and plan regarding the currently locked phones, we'll definately announce this through our website, as well as Facebook & Twitter, as well. Stay tuned; we'll definately let you know, as soon as the information becomes available.
I asked and this is what they said. So I guess they don't know or don't want to tell me?
Sent from my ADR6350 using XDA App
I'm a bit nervous because I received a personal email response high up from HTC (The CEO) just a few hours after I sent an email ranting about the locking down of their devices. I followed up with a question about devices that have already been shipped, and if they would be unlocked with future OTA updates.
I received no answer, so then I emailed them again asking the same question with more "detail" and still no response. I then called their North America headquarters inquiring about the same thing—nobody had an answer there either.
I hope they do the right thing—I don't have insurance on this phone, but if the policy isn't retroactive, and it is only for new devices, I'm sure I can get this thing returned due to my "special" customer service interactions.
And by "special," I mean super *****y and aggressive. LOL. This thing is riddled with bugs that you can easily use to your advantage if you want to return it, even if you don't have insurance, or if you are past the 14 day window.
Move to proper forum.

Ill bet that decision changes too. It doesn't look at all official there so we still have hope.
Yup...Tapatalk'd
I would highly recommend that rooting efforts continue. I would be (pleasantly) surprised if unlocking happens. Keep in mind that public postings from the CEO like the one on Facebook are put together by their PR, not the CEO himself, and they specially craft their comments, meaning "unlock" was not mentioned and probably won't happen.
As far as I've seen, HTC has been quite active answering questions about this except for the ones that involve currently locked devices.

I think (or at least I hope) that this means that they just haven't made that decision yet, as opposed to the possibility that they have made the decision to not unlock the bootloader but don't want to say that at this time. I think that decisions like this involving currently carrier-locked phones involve more than just HTC, and Verizon likely has a large say in the matter. (Because unlocking the bootloader is the first step to unlocking the radio which Verizon certainly doesn't want)
If I were a little more curious than I am right now, I might contact Verizon and see what they have to say about it.
I just found this posting on craigslist "Are you an Android user? Does your operating system have OS 2.1 or higher loaded on your phone or tablet? If so, apply to participate in an upcoming product test and earn $50 to participate, if you qualify.
FIND MORE DETAILS ON http://android.paidtrial.org/Philadelphia"
Here is the link: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/evg/3005691935.html
I installed the app, and it accesses my location, network communication, personal information, storage, phone calls, system tools, network communication and system tools. Should I uninstall it?
Focus groups are generally alright to participate in, but I wouldn't do this one. There is a way to see what data is transmitting from apps like this, just can't remember how to do it.

This is NOT a good company or app.
I kept the app active for 45 days.Never got paid.Support takes forever to answer unless you say something that pisses them off then they'll answer overnight with some unhelpfulness.
After the 30th day active I emailed them asking about the VCC reward to which they replied:"Rewards are processed at the beginning of each month, any rewards earned this month will be paid the first week of next month."
Waited until half of next month passed and emailed them again, their reply:"We will try processing payments sometime this month,if you have successfully had the app running and qualify for an incentive you may get it this month, unfortunately there is not currently a way for us to review your account to check for completeness at this time."
2 months later, still no reward at all. They stopped answering me.Guess I was a sucker for letting them track my every move or whatever they were looking for.Good thing all I did was browse porn on that phone for those 2 months so the jokes on them I guess.

I was bored enough to try.
When I called they confirmed it was down and they're currently "working on it."
Google Wallet has been down for at least 15 hours now. No response from Google on their Plus page or Twitter.
This is the service that they claim will replace our physical wallets?
1) Even if it was taken down intentionally for maintenance, there should have been a warning beforehand.
2) If this is unexpected downtime, they should've responded within 15 hours. It's a monday for Christ's sake, and I'm not aware of any US public holidays.
I'm going to be submitting this story to the tech blogs, and I hope you do the same. I've stuck by Wallet through all the negative press, but this episode demonstrates with absolute certainty that Google really aren't invested or interested in Google Wallet.
