Hi, I installed Cyanogenmod 7 on my Mytouch 3g slide after I rooted it and all that sucessfully but I don't have any google apps like market. When I flashed again I got the same thing. After that I downloaded and installed the correct Google Apps in the recovery mode. When I flashed it I just went back to a stock rom basically.
All I want is to be able to have the android market on my phone while it's running Cyanogen or any other rom. Please tell me if there are any ROMS out there that come with Market and the htc sense. If not, it would be great if i can solve this problem.
You need to get the correct gapps for your CM version and flash them after flashing CM and before rebooting.
I had a similar problem when trying to install CM6. I was trying to flash the CM7 gapps and nothing was working.
Since I am a relatively new user I can't post ouside links, but try: wiki dot cyanogenmod dot com / index dot php ? title = Latest_Version # Google_Apps
with the spaces removed and .'s instead of dot's.
There you can find the correct gapps. And make sure to flash CM, flash gapps, then reboot.
If its Froyo and Sense you want - HTC released the 2.2 update recently, but if you want root, there is the CR ROM that is almost the same as the 2.2 update HTC released.
CM7 and the correct gapps, won't have HTC Sense.

I have the same problem.
I tried using Gapps version 20110117 first, then wiped data and partition and installed Gapps version 20110120 and that seemed to work for me.
My problem now is that I cannot access the market, it just hangs
I know it's not a complete fix but at least it's a step in the right direction (I hope!)

Hmm .. can you please link me to the file? I'm probably considering shifting to ginger villain
Hello,
I've got a branded HTC Desire. I rooted it with Unrevoked, created a Goldcard before but since I've only got one SD Card, I now use it as a normal SD Card, it certainly dismissed it's "gold" propertie I guess...
I wanted to install a MIUI rom, so I first went for the MIUI_Au ROM one of my friends has. As a consequence, I've been following their instructions. But, being unable to download their rom, since their download links are dead, I went for the UK version of the rom, as well as the MIUI-XJ ROM. I wiped everything, reseted the phone to the factory thing, then installed the radio version 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2. The Recovery didn't recognize it so I had to desactivate the signature check. After that, I rebooted, and tried to install the UK MIUI. After installing it, I rebooted the phone, but then it got stuck on the MIUI screen (where you have, at the top, "MIUI" and "Android ROM" written under, in chinese, and waves at the bottom at the screen). At first, it stayed on it, so I waited, since I read it was slow to boot the first time. But after around 3-4 min, it started to blink black every 10 seconds, as if it looped on this screen. After 10 mins I recovered my backup and erased the ROM.
I tried the same thing with this ROM, the MIUI XJ, but I got the same result at the same time. I also had to untoggle the signature check as well.
I don't understand where the problem comes from, but since I got the same on two roms, I'm starting to think I forgot to do something and it blocks the booting of the ROM... Any idea ?
Thanks.
Try a newer radio. No issues here. (check signature)
Yep, I also recommend to flash newest radio.
Miui roms
Install this radio 5.17.05.23 for miui roms. I'm using miui roms ( i've tried all version) and i have no problem...
I noticed something a few days ago while I was flashing the newest build of AOKP, and I was curious to see if anyone has noticed this or if it is just an issue for me. For as long as I can remember, every time I would flash a new ICS rom other than miui, all of the apps i had installed on my phone before the flash would automatically start downloading again upon the first boot on the new rom.
But as i said, upon flashing aokp build 40, remICS, paranoid android, and cm9, none of my apps from the play store have automatically restored. I tried all of them, being that there are different gapps packages for each rom, to see if it was a problem with the GAPPS package(s), but none of them worked. I also noticed that the GAPPS version had been changed for cm9 roms on the cyanogenmod wiki.
Can someone pleas explain to me what is going on, and what I need to do to get the feature of my apps restoring back. I tried searching but came up with nothing, any help is appreciated. Thanks, and have a good day!
thanks for the awesome help everybody, i knew i could count on you guys! (jkjk)
System settings > backup and reset. Back up Google account. Once that's done it should start restoring apps in between builds of anything as long as you do it on that rom. For example you back up on cm and flash aokp... it won't work. But if you flash another cm build it will start restoring again. Oh . And you don't need to wipe data between builds... its unnecessary unless directed otherwise.

I flashed Android Revolution HD to my HTC One M8 over the weekend (I was coming from Viperone). At first I was stuck in a bootloop so I tried to restore back to Viperone, but I had the same problem. I restored to rooted (stock) and was finally able to download and flash Android Revolution; however, no I can't get my wifi to turn on. I've tried wifi fixer and it hasn't helped.
I really like the look/feel of the ROM but I can't not have wifi.
Android version 4.3.3
Thanks!
For Sense 2.22 based ROMs (such as the current ARHD) its recommended to flash the updated firmware package. Broken WiFi is a known issue if you skip this step.

If you aren't comfortable with this, you can flash one of the older 1.5X based ROMs. Or GPE may be okay, as well.
I had exactly the same problem on many 4.4.3 roms. Only using stock kernel helped, but the boot time of a device was about 4min instead of matter of seconds.
Everything works great on skydragon rom (with their kernel).

Firmware
I tried updating the firmware over the weekend, after following the link provided by redpoint73 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=9592) I installed the new firmware 2.22.401.4, it went smoothly up to the point where i rebooted and my cell radio wouldn't connect.
I had to install the original firmware and then reinstall TWRP. I'm rooted with Android 4.4.2. What firmware do I use when updating so that my verizon radio isn't impacted.
Thanks!
