You know... I spent an hour this morning trying to unlock my Focus... I unlocked it Sunday using my mom's laptop...the only Win7 machine I have access too. Thought, ok. Ill do the rest on my PC. WRONG... Must have re-locked, now Chevron wont even connect.
So...this new method has me VERY excited... My only questions are...will it work with Windows XP Pro SP3... And does my phone need a good 3G signal or data connection during update. Im in my office and dont get much of a signal.
I was able to install the tools on the XP machine without issue...but Im waiting to see if anyone is successful before I go bricking my device haha.

It worked for me with my Omnia 7 with T-Mobile branding. Had to run it twice to get Pre-update and the big update, but it worked.

If you don't already know, the unlocked Bell HD7's 3G bands are the needed bands required for AT&T (850,1900). I received my unlocked Bell HD7 from Negri Electronics today and I was super excited to get it going on AT&T here in The States but ran into a very weird problem...
Basically, I can't connect to 3G/HSDPA/EDGE internet. Now, the weird thing is that it SHOWS I'm using AT&T and that indeed I am on HSDPA (see pics below). Calling and messaging work fine BTW. If I want to do anything requiring data, the 3G/HSDPA/EDGE connection won't work and I'm forced to use wifi.
I'm tired of hard-reseting and flipping switches on and off... I just hard-reset the bastard one last time and now I wait for your advise. What do I do? Thanks in advance

True, but I prefer the Dell set-up compared to the other phones (vertical slider phone, with AMOLED screen)....

Nokia was on there, I watched it live. See that big empty space in the middle, there was a big Nokia logo appearing just there.

According to engadget it doesn't mean much. Only that while LG, Samsung, HTC and the three new manufactures have now more or less announced a new Windows Phone 7 (or at least promised to release one), Dell was not yet able to say they will.
Time will tell and Dell might be back or not, but I guess it's Nokia that will sell the majority of phones.
It's still going up so might not be fully functional yet (link is for US).

EDIT: On second thoughts, you still need to open the email on your phone and follow the standard process!
Seems to have gone wrong in the Uk, can't sign in (although it says I have)
Instead of working on this web marketplace, Microsoft should b working to enable the rest of the world to purchase apps.
Thus is ridiculous.

Another great thing is that existing links continue to work.
For example this link for my own app originally opend Zune but now user's can check out and install apps from the web.
Not trying to spam with the link just wanted to provide an example.
This is awesome! I wish the Zune desktop marketplace worked this well.

I'm running windows 8.1 and already been playing around with several drivers, tried to force install some, but no luck either. Does anyone have a solution for this? I saw some people had problems with win8, and others didn't, been looking for something for 2 hours now, would be nice if someone could help out. Thanks! :good:

Windows 8.1 is the culprit dude. win 8 and 8.1 are different. My Gio works with windows 8 but it shows exactly same error MSG on win 8.1
Heh, that really sucks. So weird though. I got no problem with other Samsung devices in DL mode and I thought they all used a similar protocol.

I am facing the same "problem". I bought a brand new HTC One M7 and have this CW field in Settings. As far as I know, this is related to the carrier who imported the phone. I have noticed that, after an Android OS update, the branded apps come back to life, although I have uninstalled them.
I see that in your config you have ro.htc.config.COTA.CWver which I think is related to Carrier OTA updates. The string in CW field means the original ROM which your phone came with. I have also noticed this field doesn't update itself after an OTA update. At least this doesn't impact phone performance, so there should be nothing to worry about.
